make sure when installing to do a so called clean install or factory reset of the driver as different versions can conflict
if that fails to work resort to https://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/143112/en-us
as its the "latest" version that shows up when correct values are entered

Good afternoon all 🙂 CAN YOU HELP a solider in need, after buying foxhole about a week ago it keeps crashing on me error1 Failed to download shard info [error 1 ] iv tried everything to get it to work from updating everything to port forwarding and i know about when steam goes down its not that, its not my antivirus software. @terse flume you’re graphics card is struggling while playing foxhole and then “stopped responding therefore windows “restarted your graphics card”
You can do a bandaid by increasing tdrdelay (how long until windows restarts your card)
However what finally fixed it for me was I dusted out the inside of my grandmas pc because she said the fan was loud, ever since then I never crashed like that. Previously I would crash like once an hour.

we dont know what the error messages mean and the devs dont/wont tell us either
you could try disabling and re-enabling the sound devices in device manager, you could also try setting foxhole voice to use the system default devices instead of specifying exactly which devices
otherwise it might just be blocked by a firewall or router or ISP
they dont help us debug anything.

Hi, having an issue with the voice flashing on and off, I can hear others, and the game sounds good, but it's like the game is turning my microphone on and off at a system level. I am utilizing the default PTT key (T) and have made sure that the game window has focus and there are no stray key click from other focused windows.
Oh, put a cancel on that, I seem to have fixed the problem by disable audio ducking in the system sound settings under communications tab.

So I saw something about trying to prevent griefers from taking fuel trucks from mines and such right, WELL I HAVE A SOLUTION FOR YOU!!! Make a fuel tank you can make at a construction yard and put on the back of a flatbed and can transport to a mine or needed spot. It can be lowered and filled via hand or via fuel tanker and maybe can hold equivilant to 100 cans of either fuel type and cannot be moved while it has fuel in it still maybe?
Basically: Stationary fuel tank u can put on flatbed to move around.
@jolly fog devs mentioned fuel tanks a few times before on streams, they might come next update
but i would say they will have more storage 400/500 if they would require a flatbed to move
also it would be nice if they could snap to mines and fuel them all the time

Hi there, I'm having issues where my player Interaction key isn't working. It's default is F but I just tried raising a ramp on a transport boat but it didn't work, I then tried attaching a bayonet to a rifle a few minutes later and also tried to toggle the hammer modes and realised that Player Interact Mode just isn't working for me. I tried changing it from F to a few other keys but still nothing.
Anybody have this issue before? Any ideas?

Having an issue where I can't use bayonets or grenade launchers for rifles, I have them equiped on my character and the standard rifle in my hand but when I press F nothing happens, I've tried changing it to other keys and also verifying the cache on steam, anyone else had this issue before? I'm having trouble equipping bayonets. I have previously been able to. I put it on a rifle, with f, and went stabbing away. @sleek night i solved it by setting my keyboard back to default. the recent update has some bugs with the old one so just reset it and modify ur keys from there. If that don't work just re-install the game

Hello, I'm currently stuck in a pillbox, I've got the rotating "reload" crosshair and can't get out. I don't really want to go to the home region because I've got a load of mortar shells on me (last from our fob) and I'm trying to take out defenses before the enemy reacts. Can an admin unstick me or anything?
If I try and do !unstuck myself it says Unstuck command cancelled: Vehicle damaged or you are a passenger but I'm in a pillbox

next time you can try logging out and back in this will kick you out of any vehicle or building and put you into a sleep state where when you log back in you will hopefully be fine

@verbal sparrow Now I’m not an expert but I believe the shards are like the different branches of foxhole like there’s a test shard and maybe a dev shard (haven’t checked in a while) but i know when this happens to me I usually just either wait and retry in a bit or restart my computer. It shouldn’t be a foxhole problem if there are no announcements about it. This isn’t really crazy detailed but it might help.

I've recently repaired my PC. I have also Upgraded it to 6 GB of RAM. However, it doesn't have the latest processor. Intel i3-2100 3.10 GHz and Intel HD graphics 2000. Could this be why Foxhole is borderline unplayable?

Anyway to prevent the Orange Screen of death? I am fairly positive that is what has been happening to my PC on several occasions. I am just playing video games or watching YouTube then out of nowhere time orange boxes appear in a checker pattern across my screen and then the monitors shut off and the PC acts like it is asleep and I have to push the power button on the tower to reset it. I just want to play Foxhole without these damned orange squares!

My Foxhole crashed regularily while playing with the message "The UE4-War Game has crashed and will close" as the Title and "Fatal Error" as the message.
It has happened as early as 20 minutes in once but mostly I get to play a few hours before the game freezes and greets me with that message 4 seconds later (no blackscreen).
It has happened almost exclusivly while driving vehicles and being around many players. (which is a bad combo :c)
I'm playing the game at the lowest settings in windowed mode on an AMD A8 5600K APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics.
I tried verfifying the Files via Steam, underclocking my CPU, aswell as overclocking it via Bios menue.
I also deleted my graphics driver and reinstalled them.
I can provide more crash files but here is my last one:

hello guys, For 2 days I have continuous screen locks or freeze in the line of mercy precisely in the area that has a bridge, bottom right on the colonial side when I cross this bridge the game freezes and after a while it takes me out to the menu and the message "conection to the server timed out" appears at first I thought it was on the Internet but also although I have a good ping in the game it still happens to me at the same exact point, that is, I can play in the backline or in other areas of the region and nothing happens but when the exact same point arrives this error happens and now it happens to me in marban hollow also the truth is that I don't know why I have been playing foxhole for about 6 months maybe a little less and it is the first time that I this kind of error happens I appreciate help

How do I fix the lines, they show up all over the place. I'm running a gtx 1070, I7 Intel, got 16gb ram plenty free, windows 10, the issue goes away when playing in windowed mode. Windowed fullscreen and fullscreen in appears. Tried messing with graphic settings and AA and VSync have no effect.

Hi guys, I'm on a Microsoft Surface Pro 7 and I just installed Foxhole, but upon launching it I just get a black screen for a few seconds and then it closes
I tried the provided black screen launch solution of going into AppData and changing the fullscreen option in the .ini file but it didn't work
Back on my old laptop with an Nvidia card it worked fine, this laptop uses some new form of intel graphics I believe but I haven't run into issues with any other games thus far

When i played it i remembered that my processor was using about 40% of his capacity (I7 4700K)
But now it is using about 70-80%
The result is my PC doing a lot of noise for a game i would not EVEN think it would occur.

Foxhole doesnt work after update. I open the game and nothing happens. The process starts and ends in a second. Windows 10
I used skaj mod. Deleted - didn't help. Rebooting PC didn't help. Reinstalled Foxhole - didnt help. No fov exploit or any other changes to the game files.

@ruby island Remember yesterday when i said uninstall the update might help? It helped a little, until i found out my foxhole is running at 144 fps yesterday. My fan speed was at 3000 rpm which is insane. The heat literally warmed up my room. When I changed it back to 60 fps, everything goes quiet and smooth again.

I'm having trouble with the aspect ratio being automatically set despite the size of my screen. I created a reddit thread last night at https://old.reddit.com/r/foxholegame/comments/gn404m/aspect_ratio_issues/
with the change of this patch I am now (at full screen) having a standard logi truck take 60% of my vertical screen, and 1/3 of my horizonal screen...After conducting experiments, I've found I lost at least 10 meters of viewing distance in full screen. If I change the resolution on my game and run in windows mode I am able to get that viewing distance back, and if I shrink my window to the size of my palm I can gain an extra 20 meters. I'm wondering if a mod or developer has a fix for playing on an ultra wide 3440x1440 resolution screen that doesn't force me to play in a quarter of my screen to have any meaningful experience.

This issue still stands with my friend. He has been able to play foxhole before this update with no issues. We tried deleting the user/appdata foxhole folder, we also tried installing directx but he has directx 12 and says lower version cannot be installed. We tried validating files, we tried reinstalling. No sound mod is installed. All graphic drivers are up to date. and were again updated. Any other ideas?
