So uh, yeah. I can't install the game for some reason. I uninstalled it earlier and now I can't install it back after having some trouble getting the devbranch to work.
In the download menu on Steam, it says Paused CONTENT FILE LOCKED.
The file in question is (apparently) Steam\steamapps\common/Foxhole\War\Binaries\Win64\War-Win64-Shipping.exe
I have already tried verifying integrity of game files, to no avail. Running steam in Administrator mode doesn't seem to help either.

Hello. I'm coming back to play after ~12 months. Made no changes to my PC, but after updating game it's now unplayable due to walking stutter lag. Any ideas? I was playing on high detail previously and I've moved this down to low. Firing, punching, and watching other people run around looks to have no stutter / lag.

@blissful sequoia are you a mongoloid? The game is MOSTLY programmed using blueprints. Which uses an INTERPRETER. The code for the game is INTERPRETED at runtime, not compiled incurring uneccessary CPU overhead. C++ on the otherhand is a compiled langauge. And if you haven't noticed the amount of TFLOPS being put out bat the latest gen Snapdragon and Bionic chips it could easily be achievable. Again the problem is the interpreted langauges.

@topaz kettle may not relate to this game but in other games i have this issue id setup my settings the way i want them. then close the game correctly using the menu game to quit. if using windowed or taskmanager to close the gam,e down it can be considered a crash wiping the info.

usually if its a problem with VoIP it would be SIP ALG thats causing interferences with that but if youve disabled it and it still hasnt come back on, you could try setting the port that the VoIP for foxhole as open and setting it to udp/tcp

@narrow escarp Anyway, unless you're PC is from the 90s try hooking an ethernet cable into it and then see the speeds. It may drastically go up and problems may be solved. If not, check what speeds you're supposed to be getting from your internet deal. If it's below, call them up and state you're getting slow speeds. It really does work.
Probably the easiest solution for fixing your internet problem rn.

gold+ rated power supply with quiet fans, like seasonic stuff
largest possible CPU fans (140mm idea, 120mm is standard) with 4pin PWM connectors, noctua is such a good brand
aftermarket GPU fan

no you dont need 3, just 1 cooler, but 1 extra fan for it

make sure the fans are 4 pin PWM. it makes a huge difference from the 3 pin old crap
