Just to give you an overview Dark of what I've tried today...
- Uninstalling and reinstalling game
- Uninstalling and reinstalling headset drivers
- Using line in microphone instead of USB
- Deleting Vivox folder and verifying integrity
- Checked log files in Foxhole appdata folder (none present)
- Checked registry to see if there was a bad registry key that I could delete and have the computer replace (none present)
- SIP ALG has been turned off on the router
- Deleted Foxhole folder in %appdata% and used CCleaner
(Note: Restarted computer between all these attempts)

I killed everything named Chrome in the task manager, everything related to Discord. Taskbar apps for Nvidia, Adobe, my sound production gear, and everything else down there with the exception of f.lux.
It's not like anything changed when it stopped working.

I'm having the same problems. Reinstalling, clearing caches, and deleting the VivoxCoreLibrary folder (and verifying game integrity through steam) did not resolve the issue. I believe the problem is my router; SLP ALG is enabled and it cannot be disabled (model doesn't support the option). I switched over to using my phone's personal hotspot (through USB) and the problem resolved itself immediately. I verified my phone doesn't use SIP ALG. My personal hotspot isn't configurable though, so I can't test further by toggling the feature on.
I'm switching ISPs for unrelated reasons though and my new router should support the option, so I can mess with that when I get it set up.

Yaaaaaaayyyy found the fixed. It's the antivirus I had. Basically one of the settings for firewall and app allowance was to deny all inbound TCP something something. You should try it out and see if it works @torpid wigeon . Its not just disabling live scans, either you turn the whole antivirus off or you just allow all connections to come in.

I may have found a fix for the "Mic not working" issue
My mic on my headset wasnt picking anything up, it's plugged in via 3.5mm audio jack. However I have a USB Webcam with a built in mic. I set the USB Mic as the Windows, Steam and Foxhole default and I can speak in game now.

What is DNS?
DNS is Domain Name System, it is used to resolve Domain Names to their respective location or IP address.
Why would DNS be the issue?
DNS is used when services like VoIP are trying to resolve where to send the audio traffic and where to recieve audio traffic from. Certain DNS providers and ISPs have the incorrect information where to send traffic, causing Error Codes in game such as [8]-6.
How do i fix this?

@little pollen If you do clan tags, there is a character limit to what is shown in foxhole, as per your steam name. Im not sure what it is but I know for a fact [27thFRC]ScrunglyBungus does not fit. and @delicate vale, wasn't able to see the difference but I assume so. If it is where you see almost a filter per say, then yes it is a known bug.

Whenever I do effectively anything my computer BSODs, am currently trying to fix it

Essentially issue:
Computer goes flat out full freeze after X amount of time playing a game, where X varies by game. In Stellaris, it's 10 years, in Foxhole, it came out to be 30 minutes, in Warframe, it's 1 mission - same for Overwatch and other "Instanced" games. Sometimes I can push it longer, sometimes it goes extra unstable.
When it goes super unstable, I go to BIOS and reset it to "Optimized Defaults", it returns to normal for a while (I can do more than 30 mins for instance). After a while, especially if there was a reboot/power off-on cycle, it returns to abnormal-normal (i.e: predictable when crash will happen).
After some testing, I found it's NOT the HDD, not the GPU, not the CPU. my temps are 20-30C, at summer they go up to 50 (so like ambient +10-20). I suspect the RAM or the MOBO.
Of note that certain games cause it to freeze, then after 2 ish minutes it unfreezes.
Furthermore, it causes a freeze even when not playing games, BUT doing something that causes rapid and rather large sized loads and unloads to RAM
Furthermore, restarting the game tends to reset the "10 years" in stellaris (played 100 years without a crash by always restarting every 10 years)

but Wireshark is a program that monitors all traffic to your NIC (network interface card, aka where you wired or wireless internet goes to) and tells you all traffic from LAN to even WAN that talks to your computer. How you would know it is foxhole is by the massive amount of packets sent and it being located in the USA or Canada.

From what I can tell from a couple google searches Vivox doesn’t work well with xlr mics so it’s not just a problem with Foxhole

Lol, I did notice that Foxhole drains a surprising amount of power, was loading it up and had task manager up and it flicked up to very high power usage and then down to high, which was amusing
It's a good game but I feel like it could use a little behind the scenes refinement, but I dunno, i wouldn't know what's happenin back there lil

theres nothing special for xlr anyway, its gonna need a mixer or analog to digital at some point, its just like any regular sound card

When I travel from region to region my window changes from it's expanded version to the original state, this cannot be fixed in any ways that I know of.

Although it probably is not a bug, you see:
When you load into the new region, the game tells the client to go ahead and redraw the game's graphics. Since you have a certain resolution set in your settings, the game uses that and resizes your screen accordingly

tl dr is that the mic is plugged into an audio interface with xlr and the interface is plugged into the computer with usb
