So its find hard to get a SC of it, i have spammed the screenshot button and haven't been able to get one, but if you look a certain way, or use certain graphic settings I believe, the brown foliage or terrain , they blink off and on, and the blinking is like they change to a tar blank color and then back again, anyway to fix this?

It is probably a graphics setting that does that for some ungodly reason to opimitze trees or folliage for faster graphics. I would mess with the settings to see if it goes away or gets worse.

@static rose Please do this: go to Control Panel -> sound -> Playback devices -> make sure the headset or speaker you are using is the only one enabled and set as default.
Also. If that is done then try right clicking the speaking that is the default and go to properties and make sure all the boxes in "Exclusive Mode" are checked.

From last i checked which was around 1:00 no, but it looks like from what Shuncle told me, there is not immediate fix we can do but I can still try to run you through some things to see if it works.

@sly mortar Pin that message you just put, also @wet arrow, The issue appears to be hardware related in terms of ability to play the game. It may be driver related but it may as well be issues with running foxhole on the GPU. A 1050 isn't anything too ridiculous, so it should be able to run Foxhole on low. But if you check this benchmark, here is my GPU vs Yours (If you do have a full 1050 in your laptop not a 1050m) https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-970-vs-Nvidia-GTX-1050/2577vs3650. You will see that there is a large peformance gap, why i put this is to help show that the 1050 may require you to run the game on low. If anything, hopefully a new driver (when the next one comes out) may actually make it easier for you to play in the future but being that the GPU is running at near 100% when playing the game, the 1050 is most likely your bottleneck.

Close Steam

Yeah, not your fault, something with the intergration of Vivox's VoIP service into foxhole and it's ability to communicate small eletrical impulses to the game
So another thing i would reccomend is making sure it works with other games (i bet it does) then we know it is foxhole only. then if that is working but foxhole isn't, if we attempted the above troubleshooting stuff (setting device as defualt, deletion of crap and reconnect) it is best to assume yo game broke

So in this case, Foxhole has drivers, your computer has drivers, Vivox has drivers. One of those is messed up, we know that your computer isn't the issue. You are able to see your audio stuff in game (i assume you can???) so we know it isn't foxholes stuff, it is Vivox.

@dry quest No, I think they put the bars there so that we (4:3 users) would be on par with 16:9 users
Before, 4:3 monitors would just zoom out more in-game to account for the lesser screen space compared to a widescreen monitor

Hello, Im looking for some help regarding a startup issue that my brother is having

he just bought the game hoping to try it out since me and my mate @stray geyser has been talking so highly about it. However. He is having what he says is "a low level fatal error on startup"
I just got back and trying to gather more information regarding this issue. But just asking here to check if someone has any idea of what it could be.

His specs are unknown to me, however as far as i know he can play GTA 5 without any issues, and Elite Dangerous as well

the only solution I found was to uninstall foxhole entirely

whatever happened when I was switched to wardens broke my game
it quarantined the .exe file and refused to let go
even though I clicked "do not quarantine"
I tried to verify the files, but it downloaded the same file over, and over, and over
until i decided to uninstall
which is unfortunate, but I'm reinstalling

I purchased the game just today. I started it and I was like oh factions, cool. I wanted to be with the colonials cause of the knife and green color. But just in case I clicked on Wardens to see info so maybe I willl decide to go with them. (I was used to this from playing mmorpgs where you only got info about a faction and then could join it) But sadly there were no lore or stuff, I just got in Wardens. So here I am. I have had someone with the same issue before... What I would do to test it is go somewhere with good wi-fi that is not restrictive (friends house, coffee shop maybe) and see if you can connect

Each region is technically a different server. But as for the browser, it's not used unless there are special events or clan events.

And also, just for note to anyone that will read this at some point, DORMS have issues with connecting to video game servers, a lot of them restrict access and you would need to consult the schools IT services about said issues if they come up.

It crashes when I play the game the reason its on the main menu because I've alt+tabbed to capture the error message I play in fullscreeen with the lowest settings.

I have this error from around update 0.16 I think.

I tried both.. first one was to reconnect, came up with the [2] 2-1 again, this time i quit and relogged and its [2] 2-500B.. it was working when i first got the game which was like 30mins ago then stopped like 5mins in but i figured no one was speaking until i saw in the chat box the error messages

@terse flume No, it's not just you and it's because of steam. For some reason it allocates 4-5gbs and then when the update is done just gives the space back. Plus check your task manager to see if windows is running "malicious malware scanner" or something. That slows down the writing speed to the disk quite a lot.

I see, then something indeed seems to be blocking your internet access to Foxhole. Try checking task manager if you can see any "malicious software checking tool" or something like that by windows
