are you sure it's not a problem of Circuitry directly inside the COmputer ? I mean it happened to me one time on a laptop. My mic worked for Skype, but not for R6S or Foxhole because the internal wire linking the Jack input to the SOundboard was damaged. And it wasn't working with some functionnalities or applications

I am continually getting fatal UE4 errors when attempting to go from home region into the conquest region(s). My last successful foray into a conquest region ended with a disconnect while attempting to cross from one region into another (along a roadway). I have attempted to verify game files via Steam, and all attempts to zone into the region I originally was disconnected from or into a previously visited region (with a Set Spawn established) are failing to get me in.

my friend has been having a problem with the war since the hotfix. He is unable to join the war, because when he goes to it says that the war is unavailable, and when he tries to change the shard, he is unable to. He has already tried restarting his computer entirely, and even reinstalling foxhole.

For anyone who still have "persistent war unavailable" issue but don't want to turn off antivirus, try reinstall it instead. A player name [WN] BlueHawk has found a solution at Steam forum that it's an antivirus issue. https://steamcommunity.com/app/505460/discussions/1/3104564981107737619/ He said you need to disable traffic scan (Kaspersky called it "encrypted connection" which I test and it works), so I decide to reinstall my antivirus and it works fine now.

I will say this too, Anti-virus doesn't protect you from malicious people per say. Unless you anti-virus is managing your computer's fire wall but, it comes down to your router
router's firewall and computers, anti-virus protects and scans traffic coming in for potential threats that are marked as viruses. Basically it can affect your traffic going in and out, this can cause issues with specific ports or specific types of traffic. Usually when this happens, they need to update something or the game itself does to prevent what work arounds are needed. I am curious though, which anti-virus distro are you guys using that are having the problem? I may investigate the difference between what i have and you to see if i can find any correlations.

Oh yes, I am well aware, I have to have this dicussion at work with people. It is something that needs to be fixed but a work around is needed until then. From playing in the update I have noticed that there are a lot of network related issues with the game right now.

I use Kaspersky Internet Security.
And this might be a wild guess, but I suspect the issue might come from the antivirus certificate or something that make connection secure. Before I reinstalled the program, I needed to disable what's called "secured connection" in my Kaspersky to make it worked. And secured connection is created by that certificate thing, right? So I guess it might have something to do with this. But don't ask me. I'm not an expert.

You might also be able to resolve this by pressing Reconnect at the bottom of the Voice options tab.

Okay. In Options > Voice there is an button to Refresh or Reconnect to the voice servers. Try that, if that doesn't work the next fix is to either cross regions or to relog. That usually fixes the voice errors.

Hmmm then I am afraid thats the limit of my knowledge. @sly mortar From what I gathered, the issue is not stemming from Vivox's VoiP comms but with the intergration between the game and Vivox. So that adds to a plethora of possibilites as to why it won't work lol.

I am thinking it may have to do with the load speed of the game based on performance of where it is stored. That is my guess. Load time would be directly affected by the laptops ability to load and what is saved in the files itself. It doesn't NEED a connection to the server until the game is fully loaded.

If you run a program beforehand that has access past your firewall (like asks you permission and you grant it) it could mess up / not allow you to join Foxhole...
(This could be old games, anti-cheats (which are used to regulate your background programs, therefor are included in this list), non-official / free anti-viruses cheats etc...)

Sorry 1.38GB. That is not a lot to have in general, so if you run Foxhole check and see in task manager if it displays close to 100% usage in RAM if not, see if it displays 100% usage elsewhere and tell me what you see.

I got the same warning too. Clicked OK. It still allows you to play, but there will be some lag when you're playing. Ex: too many explosions, when go through lot of structures, and etc.
Tried to update it to the recommended one, but installer said it's not compatible. 🤷

From what I saw on steam about the same issue different game was to update drivers unfortunately. If anything I'd hop on NVIDIA forums and see what they have to say about it telling you to download a driver that doesn't exist.

I used to use a laptop built-in mic too
And mine was not working as well
I tried hard and check every option but most of the time it comes down to reception. Built-in laptop mics doesn't support enough reception for the game, I assume

@paper anchor, I looked back and you have been here for a while. Let me look into this and see if i can find a fix. All these voicechat errors are possibly related to values stuck in the Reg or Game files.
I will warn you though, deleting anything can be dangerous. Make sure you are only touching foxhole files because you can redownload those easily. If you delete your system32, yeah that will be rough lol I am not liable haha
This may be a whim but I have something to test. If this is too confusing please tell me. Go to Control Panel -> Network and Sharing -> Change Adapter Settings -> Find the Local Area Connection for Ethernet that is showing "Connected" -> Right click that -> Select Properties -> Internet Protocol Version 4 -> Select "Use the following DNS server addresses" -> Add 8.8.8.8 as prefered and 208.67.222.222 as Alternate"
See if that fixes it

Saying it here too, looks like it is a Network Equipment problem based on the fact that the mobile hotspot did work but not the
Wi-Fi.
So, in the future, if we can have the user try to connect through a different network and see if that fixes the problem. It may be a SIP problem and could be a SIP ALG problem. Network equipment is vital for VoIP and thankfully working in the industry I may be able to help advise what to do with your network equipment. Be aware though, no router is the same, they all have their small things that can affect VoIP connections due to settings that manipluate or block SIP traffic. Feel free to DM me if you see this and have the same issue as MrOdin after doing what he did.

Alright try this, go to Control Panel -> sound -> Playback devices -> make sure the headset or speaker you are using is the only one enabled and set as default.
Also. If that is done then try right clicking the speaking that is the default and go to properties and make sure all the boxes in "Exclusive Mode" are checked.

I'm having the following issues; When i click Enter, my game ocasionally goes to windowed mode. Pressing enter again goes back to fullscreen but at previous resolution.
When playing in fullscreen, my game ocasionally blacks for a few miliseconds out as if alt-tabbed (Seemingly in windowed mode), After the game reappears, No input other then mouse movement is received and i have to click on the game, which resumes black screen for a few miliseconds, before returning to normal gameplay in fullscreen.
