@Cap'n Moses#8495 in all honesty you very well may have issues running the game. Especially if the other hardware in your rig is along the same lines. You could try it, and if it doesn't work right away like you'd hoped, you can request a refund through Steam in which they would refund you as long as you haven't owned or played it long.

Do not punish people with bigger vision by cropping their vertical vision up to 30%. When I launch 2560x1080 I get 1920x1080 but 1080 vision is cut up to 30%

@community yo. I have an interesting problem. I haven't been able to see operations or join them for a good while now. They just don't show up on the map. The create operation button is there but i can't see operations I create either. I have already reinstalled the game but the issue persists. Above is a screen shot of the map I get. I disabled structures and bases for intelligence reasons. Assistance would be appreciated.

so i am also one of the many people that get problem with joining the game

my internet connection is good, i know this because of speed tests and having connection to discord voice chat while trying to join the game.
my brother also plays the game and he can connect to the game just fine, we are both on the same wifi in the same house

when i can actually get into the game i experience no lag at all, the game is flawless except if i try to travel back to the home region then it just looses connection again and again, i can travel from map to map fine as well

the problem is simply connecting to the game, i often have to try multiple times, restart computer and do some of the steps that were listed in the pin message, none of them give a proper solution. the only method i have found for getting into the game is to try over and over again.

i have tried all the steps listed in the pinned message to try and fix the game and i have reinstalled, i also tried deleting the foxhole folder in appdata and have verified the integrity of the steam files multiple times
id like some help with my problem because something isnt working properly

Why is the game asking me to install the Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 or DirectX runtime even though I've already them installed? 

There are a number of solutions that may help resolve this issue:

 

1) Ensure that you have the latest Windows updates and video card drivers installed. Make sure you ensure that you check that all windows updates have been installed. You can do this by clicking the start menu and going to Settings  > Update & Security  > Windows Update, and select Check for updates.

 

2) If you continue to experience problems, try uninstalling the C++ 2015 x86 and x64 runtimes from the add/remove programs utility in Windows and reinstall them from the official download - https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145

Restart after installing.

 

Alternatively, you can also try installing the .exes found in:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Foxhole\_CommonRedist\vcredist\2015
 

3) Another potential problem is when certain windows system libraries (dlls) get corrupted. A common fix for this is the following:



i. Start Foxhole and uninstall the UE4 Prerequisites when the game prompts to install it

ii. Rename the xinput1_3.dll file in C:\Windows\System32 to xinput1_3.dll.BACKUP

iii. Rename the xinput1_3.dll file in C:\Windows\SysWOW64 to xinput1_3.dll.BACKUP

Steps to Try

Restart your PC
Verify the game files >> Open Steam >> Right Click Foxhole >> Properties >> Local Files >> Verify Integrity of Game Files

Disable all antivirus and firewall solutions; Follow #3
Restart computer completely >> Close any programs that started automatically; Follow #1

oh if you added a hosts entry, it's basically immediate, sometimes browsers cache DNS resolution, but otherwise it's immediate
