I Dont know, splitting up is not a wise idea, with a big effective group you have more firepower and more chance to despose of a less superior enemy with fewer casualties, and you arent dependent on the succes of others.

The pros and cons are visible, and most notably, PUG suffers from quite a bit of idling, but it helps that we have a dedicated logistics group. They do us a lot of good.

having 3-4 people attacking in advance also gives away your plans, especially on a quiet part of the map. it seems much more usefull to hit hard and hit fast.

When I see an attack of PUG, it often takes them several attacks to break through the defences of the enemy. Last time, they left a small amount of players at the area where they had already done damage, to prevent the enemy from rebuilding.
Next to that, what alarms a defender more? 2 guys destroying a couple of foxholes, or 10 guys overwhelming your foxholes.
While they get more damage done in less time, the responds of the defenders will be bigger when they see a big amount of enemy players.
So in that situation you also have a advantage disadvantage thing.
The amount of casualties also heavily depends on success. Now, PUG often has little resistance, meaning that they succeed in most OP's. This does indeed result in low casualties. However, if they fail in an OP, they will quite fast have higher casualties, where their entire team will get wiped.
I actually want to retract what I said earlier as well. With only a handful of guys, you can still do a lot of good things by only using focus points rather than walking with a group of 2 or 3.
However, you have to change your objectives a bit. It does not really matter if you attack in a group of 3, or poke around from 3 directions, you won't break through so easily.

My squad attacks file would be a bit different
Squads and attacks, which could of referred to the other discussion we had in general chat a little while ago
But my squad attack would look different
It would be more like:
Siege - keep the enemy on lockdown constantly harassing their troops and assets preventing them from doing anything, keep the enemy pinned and slowly wither down their resources
Secure - await reinforcements and push enemy back and slowly secure the enemy held position.
Hold - Taking the area hold it and prepare for a counter attack
Which is only slightly different
