the resources regenerate over time, its also not "gathering" its more like rng. The main activity is getting scrap to transform them into bmats, emats and fuel. They intend to elongate the war by making tanks require higher tier of tech

Hmmm need to think about what kind of armaments to add to my new long range prop plane
It's crazy stable in flight and has all the accessories like an on board AI and whatnot, might use the excess engine power for a down-facing energy shield
But mainly of interest is the high efficiency propellors which let it get a pretty respectable 75 m/s when the steam boilers are maxed out
I'm thinking of a decent set of bombs on it and just let it cruise around at max altitude

yea the main benefit of having a stable platform is you can put some really big guns or missiles on and not worry too much about stability etc, I will probably add some kind of dodge program into the AI at some point
I'll probably armor things up a little better but I think just the good speed and high altitude it's capable of lets it fight a fair amount of shit
Something like a mass carpet bomb setup isn't off the table either
Just fill the space near the fuselage with dozens of bomblets and let it fly back and forth at 800 m over a target

As far as I know to some extent they did develop guided bombs such as the Fritz X and the Hs293 which are essentially radio-guided glide bombs. They were also planning to develop the X-4 wire-guided air-to-air missile but other than that not much I know
So yeah to some degree it’s not far out that they developed guided munitions but at the same time the Allies were sort of on the same level if not maybe behind

Nice, I picked the game back up recently and me and a friend been fuckin around in coop, we working on this giant manta ray monstrosity recently, our "price is no object" ship. its 170,000 mats and has 400,000 engine power
Still working on a jumbo roof turret and shielding and then a paint job
But it has some completely disgusting large size torpedos that are pretty fun
and like 25% of the entire power budget goes into those hull railguns
it does a nice 45m/s too thanks to pretty good wave surface balancing

though the default settings for the prop blades might be the yaw settings

Check that your wings and ailerons are not upside down on one side, it doesn't look any different, you have to cursor over the part and see if the upthrust is positive or negative. Make sure both props are set to the correct controls (opposing pitch left/right and identical push forward), identical strength etc. What kind of props even are those, heliblades are much better than spinners
Make sure your plane has orders in the air ie to patrol points rather than idle, idling planes will just circle indefinitely assuming you put a basic AI in there and specifically has an aircraft maneuvering program. Make sure your tail rudder (you DO have a tail rudder right?) is set to yaw, tail flaps are set to pitch, and wing ailerons are set to pitch up/down and roll left/right properly
My blind guess is one of your propellors thrusst is reversed and it's just therefore yawing your plane around and around

You do need at least a few wings thrown in there for upthrust though or you'll struggle to stay in the air
Like actual up wings not constructed block ones

You can do it with just pure thrust and pitch but thats badly inefficient compared to just sneaking a few wings in there. Wings permanently just give upwards thrust for free which basically no other part can do
My most successful aircraft are almost always heli + jet hybrids

Well I can't seem to find anything that might suggest the plane's imbalanced, even without AI or props it has a slight tendency to bank to the right so I had to trim it out manually with the rudder
I'm not sure what to make of the AI either, nothing seems amiss when I tried changing a few settings
at least I figured out which way the props should be turning so thats one thing

I don’t think it does, the dediblades in From the Depths don’t actually generate torque, I’ve used one in my single-engines fighter and it worked fine

The whole fuselage area is more or less untouched for now, getting the wings looking right has been my main focus

sadly it will be insanely vulnerable to IR though, not sure how to get around that without covering it in ECM

For me the most cost effective way to counter them is to invest in CIWS and smoke dispensers. Then I just rely on firepower to take down their ships since they aren’t particularly tough by the time you fight them

Ok I have still no fucking idea whats happening in FtD:
-I figured out the reason my plane had a weird yaw to one direction was cuz the wings that had made up the vertical stabiliser still had their lift factor in it, just pointed horizontally not vertically. So the planes now stable but for some dumbass reason the AI STILL wont respond to any commands to turn in a certain direction so it will just fly in a straight line, even if the controls are fine manually.
-That Laserboat i made above has a teething issue with the turret weirdly aiming up in the air or bellow the water well away from its intended target. Also even if the lasers hit they still hit bellow the water which makes the whole thing useless anyway.
-Subs are a fucking annoyance to deal with I almost keep losing my boats to the Anode on account of its melee and massive missiles. I currently dont have planes to deal with it in the campaign cuz the aforementioned one Im building doesn't want to fucking turn for some reason
