Doing frontline work makes you do and use the most basic parts of the game. In it, you will understand the needs of each front. Equipment, manpower, coordinated attacks.
Im not saying its an absolute rule to start at the frontlines. Altough it will help alot
Tankers and arty are also fronts altough it requires a bit of teamwork from loading a shell to an artillary barrage to spotting a target. To comminicating with your gunner inside your tank
Logistics tough it has a lot of steps, scrapping,turning scrap to mats,turning mats to equipment, storing and delivering them, its not necessarily hard but it will eat up your time. Its good tough. Logi is the backbone of the game.
Builders are a whole other breed which i cant have an opinion about

The good thing about it tough is you have the freedom to do any of those anytime you want you could literally
Scrooop refine and deliver shells at your self built base, load a tank with shells, and find a friend to do partisan work inside the tank in the frontlines. Its not ideal but the option is there 😁

You know how in skyrim you can make an NPC essentially blind by putting a basket over their head?
Get 10 Bmats, build a wall blueprint at a 45 degree angle towards the AI defence, tap it once, go forward and repeat until you've gone around the defences

The shooting range will have crates of guns you can try out. And it will let you familiarize yourself on foxhole's aiming system
The logistics area there will be a scrap yard a refinery and factory. Will let you familiarize yourself with the logistics cycle
Artillary area-honestly if you dont have someone else ill skip that cause best way to learn it is with an actual artillary barrage
Vehicle area- theres will be a bunch of chest with bmats, gasoline toet you make vics. It will let you familiarize yourself with the vic system. Note that you cant be a driver and gunner at the same time.

yes it's a german one, you take the gun apart and hang the brush on the chain and pull it through then you pull oiled wicks through, just don't use too many wicks if the chain breaks when you pull it through you're screwed and you'll keep doing that until the weapon is clean

The problem with snipers is that now the ammo is common, they’re used a lot more frequently, and as the warden sniper is pretty much a 1 shot at any range except extreme, it made fronts just sniper hell during the day. It looks like both sides teched around it this war, so it isn’t that much of a problem, but last war… let’s just say you’d see 7-8 man sniper groups just wrecking anyone who moved.
