like, let's say you have your tools put into cupboards and boxes, right? if you stand in front of them, the crafting menu will understand that they're nearby, and use them in the crafting you chose, then put them back where they were!

like let's say you have two cupboards, one has a can opener, the other has a can of dog food. you use the crafting menu to select "open can of dog food", your character will take those items, open the can, and put the opener back, but keep the opened can in your inventory
you can also right-click a tool in your inventory to use it directly.
let's say you wanna sharpen a stick you found to make a homemade spear, but you wanna use your shitty stone knife, and not your hunting knife. then you can just right-click your stone knife and choose "make spear", to make sure the correct tool is used, and you aren't dulling your hunting knife.

if you use a tool overmuch it'll break, the item won't vanish though. and you can repair it later if you so wish
different items have different durability. like say, a shitty-ass rock hammer you made with a stone, a stick and some rags is not gonna hold up for as long as a crowbar

exactly, honestly I think having sides being able to research and build into automation of resource harvesting, processing, and maybe even transportation, is something that that devs should at least consider looking into. We're seeing the effects of depending on players for every bit and piece of equipment right now.
Most people want to play near the action, or at least somehow contribute to the fighting, all of which consumes resources. And you do have logi, which people do still play, and which can help greatly. Combine this unhelpful and tedious game design and a lack of ways to increase the effectiveness of logi, and people will naturally just stop playing Logi, causing even less supply for a game where the issue of resource supply is already pretty significant.
I love the realistic portrayal of warfare Foxhole has, and I think the devs do it well, but I feel like there has been little consideration of exactly how much goes into the production and supply of resources as did occur in the world wars, and how the design of the game would make up for that / consider it.

Just GG, we're having fun. But sadly there is nightcappers, that are just pro-faction X. Regardless if it's Warden or Colonial. that just nightcaps inactive bases cause they are undefended, no players. Everyone is sleeping and AI is childplay to break. Nightcappers need to be reprimanded back to Pvt. And all my chad friends only play PvP after work/studying.

Making AI stronger/smarter when there's no allied players in region or small amount online, would be nice. Otherwise it's more of a community thing to solve.
