It's a fast and easy way to do RAM overclocking. However, the RAM chips that are working are Samsung dies, which are capable of XMP well, but the other ones you have aren't capable of it.

The issue isn't solely XMP
It's that those chips cannot run at where XMP is trying to put them
So you'd have to manually overclock in stages, starting at like 2133, then 2200, etc. until you start getting corruption, then pull back off it a little.
But that would also slow down your currently working sticks to whatever those other sticks are

next time I buy a gpu it might not even support my monitor anymore, which means I need to buy a newer monitor which will likely only be in 1080p and higher which means I'd need a beefier gpu upgrade as well to nullify the impact on my framerate (I'd be doubling my pixel count)

so instead of upgrading to a 250-300 EUR GPU it would have to be a 450-600 EUR GPU
at present, I can barely afford that
So I mostly use my monitor as an excuse to run high end visuals at 60+ on mid end hardware
but to loop back, I suppose the best bet is to try for a refund on the sticks that don't work and use that money to buy two 16gb sticks from another comapny instead, I guess?

I'm always a little disappointed how difficulty is only ever a case of bumping up enemy HP and enemy damage (and maybe nerfing player HP)
I keep on wishing for a difficulty setting where the low HP and high damage works both ways. Like hardcore mode in multiplayer shooters except as a singleplayer difficulty
But I suppose the AI has to be properly working for that. Can't have the player getting shot through cover or getting instantly melted when they peek to shoot
or having the AI bumrush you and the last guy getting a shot off anyway that ends up killing you
It's not a difficulty that works when you're expected to fight anywhere from 25 to 100 enemies over the course of a single mission
The floating damage numbers I've seen when you hit someone are absolutely garbo
Still, I love Project Nevada and FWE for their hardcore experiences

Tanks have HP, meaning in order to kill them you have to penetrate the armor repeatedly. So a gun that does 100 average damage would need to penetrate a 500 HP tank roughly 5 times to kill it
