@hard pike Regarding your recent suggestion faction locked prototype. Sometimes people transfer prototypes to other logi hubs. If a partisan is lucky enough to catch them on the road, they should profit from their lucky find imo

@drifting heath the fact that the prototypes arent repairable means that for a partisan to steal one the driver has to either have been logged out at the border (which is likely the case) or the driver hopped out of the still not crippled vehicle to run away (which is pretty much never going to happen). There is no reasonable situation where a prototype should be stolen so it makes sense that it would be faction locked.

Let me change my critique then. Why should a combat vehicle be locked for an entire faction? If you are able to sneak into a town, wrench a prototype tank and wreak havoc, you should be able to do so. Doesn't matter if it's repairable or not

Hunting rifle - similar to rifle, lower dmg (3'th hit kill)
Provisional granade - same range as frag granade, lower dmg, cant load into nade launcher
Provisional anti-tank - smaller range than an Sticky Bomb, similar dmg/pen chance, cant stick it into hull (You need to drop it near tank)
Double-barreled shotgun - Same like a shotgun, but you have only 2 bullets
Old-Fashioned revolver - same as revolver, but smaller rate of fire

I don't think there are such mods yet. However, some clans periodically take screenshot of the tech progress throughout a war and post them on their preferred communication medium to let all clan members know the progression

people just dont really bother with it that much, since it's easier to use trenches as a simple cover, climb out and walk into another trench

I mean, it works as a defense I guess since the enemy can just simply not take a trench that way without destroying it, but at the same time, tons of guys are dying because they get grenaded and can't get out of the trench fast enough or shot when they manage to do so, as the garrisons are always occupied. Simply just running to another part of the trench is impossible.

trenches are used purely as cover for firing, travelling in them is not a good idea
plus the fact that other people in the trench block your character doesn't help

It should be a good Idea though. Trenches started as a way to move closer to the enemy in cover before launching an assault, after all. Their function as protected firing positions came a little later, and even then was somewhat secondary.

Trenches in foxhole at the moment are purely used because you need them to be able to upgrade bunkers to rifle garrisons. Otherwise you'd not see any trenches at all
Best to stay out of them and be behind a rifle garrison and peek when you can't get inside it.

You're right. And that is a definite issue as far as I can tell. They really, really shouldn't be just that. That's completely unrealistic and makes them basically pointless.

so in combination, I'd argue that VS is plagued by bad guns with the occasional good one, due to: Horizontal Recoil, TR damage models, NC mag sizes, very low muzzle velocities (nothing quite as fun as dodging vanu fire), and distinct firing sounds.
