hello! ive been doing some digging in the dyno dashboard and havent been able to find a way to set up a channel that automatically bans anyone who sends a message in it. doing this for a pretty big bot server for all the scams going around. does functionality like this exist by chance? if so, any docs that can be sent my way about where i can read up on it?

For settling this up properly, head to the "Moderation" Module in the Modules tab. You will get to see a dropdown there, called "LOCKDOWN CHANNELS". You have to select the channels which should be locked when you use the command ?lockdown in the server.

If the server has a Dyno appeal form set up, the link would have been DMed to you when you were banned.

Okay, fixed. Apparantly if you have a slowmode on let's say "general" for 10 seconds.
And you use the command to have "general" 5 seconds, it doesn't work. And for some reason, a lot of messages (chaotic as well...), got deleted automatically without a clear reason.

If you believed you were mistakenly banned or there was another issue, you must attempt to contact the staff of the server where you were banned. You can ask a friend to do this on your behalf or see if the server has any other social media. If the server has a Dyno appeal form set up, the link would have been DMed to you when you were banned.

Well, if you have dm on ban kick mute it’ll do it there, if you want one within the command itself, you can utilize the dm command, but remember to send the dm before you ban or else they wont get it, ( place dm on the very bottom of the command box, make it the last line )

We use Discord to ban users, so if the user can not rejoin after being unbanned then they more than likely have an alt banned within the server. This is due to the fact that discord bans are IP based.

We are unable to assist with this as it falls onto Discord's systems and not Dyno's.

I feel like I have tried everything, so here it goes. I want to replicate this Newcomer join sequence (from another server) of agreeing to rules, setting nickname as their full name, and changing their role to "Member". All the code that I have tried has not worked. Could someone show me how this would be coded in custom commands? I have all other permissions set up, roles created, but the command keeps bouncing back with error messages with the code I am writing.

So, not trying to sound mean but there is quite a bit wrong with the context here, so lets break it down.

Your first line is almost right, but you need to do {user} instead of $user, we also highly recommend that you use RoleID's instead of RoleName's

Your second line should be {!setnick {user} $1+}
