If you believed you were mistakenly banned or there was another issue, you must attempt to contact the staff of the server where you were banned. You can ask a friend to do this on your behalf or see if the server has any other social media. If the server has a Dyno appeal form set up, the link would have been DMed to you when you were banned.

Hey Lexi, literally the same thing happened on my server. Hundreds and hundreds of messages had been bulk deleted with nobody using Dyno. Logs are all empty. Were you able to discover the cause?

the server this happened on has some very private people on it. someone mentioned that a custom client could issue the bulk delete command. we internally figured that was the most likely scenario

And I don't have premium so the auto purge shouldn't even work for us

We don't have any custom clients on our own server. Only legit mods and game bots. Members can't access Dyno's (or any mod bot's) purge command as it's a manager, aka moderator role locked command. Also, Three different bots logs deleted messages even if it's an admin, owner or moderator's commands. No loophole. Dyno shows logs of a bulk deletion, and three bots are in another channel shows who carried out the command.

Meanwhile this incident happening on 18th, nobody carried out any command, no deleted command messages other than Dyno mass deletion

So, to give some more info as to what Matthew is saying, Dyno's log there on the first message is just that, a log. It is not Dyno initiating a command.

A self-bot is someone who is hosting a bot on a user client and not a bot client which is against TOS, they probably used some function to delete all their own messages, which you wouldn't see really anywhere. Discord doesn't log down the message deletions if it is someone's own message, and most bots don't log down this level of usage due to limits.

They did not delete anyone else's messages. With the logs and everything, and from what you are saying as well, it was one user deleting their messages alone. You physically can not delete other's messages without permissions.

It's a very small server, I would say very little activity. i scrolled back and I don't see days or weeks of gaps in the channels the log said messages were deleted. Is it possible that this client deletes ages old messages so that's why there are not gaps in the day the deletion happened

Hey. So I've got this custom command called ?finisha [roleid] [newcallsign] and it is supposed to respond in that channel, apply a role to the users ID that is in that command and then add in the message argumnent 2 to relay a new callsign.

I have a high command role in the server that is a discord manager on the Dyno panel. An individual in the server has a role called "Onboarding Perms" and it is synced to the role permissions for the command. At the same time, I have tried it where no permissions are set for the command. Whenever I run the command, everything works, whenever the other person runs it, it doesn't work.

It sounds like you’ve hit the limit for the Reaction Roles module. For free users, Dyno limits you to 3 reaction role messages per server. While you can't increase that number without paying for Premium, you can definitely change or swap them.

Hi, I'm just a newb to apps for discord let alone Dyno. In fact, we have someone else working our apps. However, he's working on apps commands created long before either of us took over this discord. Thus, we are having an issue I hope y'all can help with.

We have some msgs from Dyno that have "Member ..." as the "title" of the msg. While others have the account's username as the "title." We do not know why this is, or how to fix it. Any suggestions???

AFK command works for me in other servers,
but in one specific server Dyno says:
"You do not have permissions to run this command".

Admin permissions don’t help.
Admin also allowed /afk set for a role named "Access"
(which everyone in the server has by default).

Despite this, the command does not work only for me
anywhere in that server, while others can use it.

This seems like a server-level or user-specific restriction.
What exact Dyno or Discord setting can block /afk set
for a single user?

What role are you in that server? If your ADMIN, I doubt you can be considered AFK. Not sure, just speculation. However, it does sound like a permissions issue specific to you, or your role if your the only one in that role.

So, they were made to not match? Why is the username there instead of the action name? IE Instead of "lordtestuser2527," it should say "Member Timeout,"

Seems like a mixup in the formatting to me. I found that several actions are done like this: Mute, Nickname changes, Member Role Given, Member Role Taken, Join VC, Leave VC. While those with the action name in that spot is Member Left, Member Joined, Banned, Unbanned. I know there are more, but those are the one my server sees all the time.

If this is how it is designed, what is the purpos for the username to be in that spot instead of the actions name? Also, I have seen on some of the YouTube videos where the information shown is very, very different. I would love to see this other version.

The design was made by the developers and is likely intentional. As for the picture you posted, that is a moderation log. You can set that up in the Moderation module.

Yes, we have it set to a channel we just created as we are separating some of the logs out specifically Ban, Unban, Softban, Kick, Mute, and Unmute.

Yet the msgs/logs we are getting is those in the original msg.

Those moderation logs are only available if you moderate using Dyno commands, like ?mute, ?kick, etc.

No, the issue occurred as you had a circular referencing. Your staff had the Members role which was set as an Affected Role. What we did is configured the settings to be more ideal 😄

Dyno is simply a service used to moderate users, and as such, Dyno Staff cannot help you with moderation issues from other servers. If you believed you were mistakenly banned or there was another issue, you must attempt to contact the staff of the server where you were banned. You can ask a friend to do this on your behalf or see if the server has any other social media. If the server has a Dyno appeal form set up, the link would have been DMed to you when you were banned.
