hi, Is there a way that when you get muted with Dyno (when it gives you the mute role), you can’t see what others are writing? I mean, not just the message “you can’t send messages in this channel,” but also so that the whole channel and its messages become invisible , not hiding the message history, but appearing greyed out, like when you have no internet. I admin a gaming server. We have people join, and in the joiner channel they provide their gaming account info.

Based on this, they’re assigned a clan, by one of our clan leaders.

I would really like a more automated way for our clan leaders to assign the relevant roles for new joiners.

I feel like a custom command is what’s needed but I lack the knowledge to configure it.

Can anyone see a way? Like in an ideal world, clan leader will ask the relevant questions and then generate a command i.e. !assignclanA @member - and the user would receive the relevant roles.

Dyno is simply a service used to moderate users, and as such, Dyno Staff cannot help you with moderation issues from other servers. If you believed you were mistakenly banned or there was another issue, you must attempt to contact the staff of the server where you were banned. You can ask a friend to do this on your behalf or see if the server has any other social media. If the server has a Dyno appeal form set up, the link would have been DMed to you when you were banned.

A user should only be able to manipulate roles that they can manually manipulate on Discord. The fact that the user can bypass their own hierarchy via Dyno introduces a security risk where Discord has none.

you can only have 1 rule set per auto mod, so you can have 1 rule set up for "Character Count" (please note this rule only detects when a message is too long) and the other rule set as "All Caps" and this will work simultaneously. premium is not needed to set up 2 rules set with automod. hope this answers your question

you can set up a "Bad Words" rule in auto mod and set the word to <@USER_ID>, replacing "USER_ID" with the user ID of the user you dont want pinged. then add the appropriate actions i.e. delete, automute

We use Discord to ban users, so if the user can not rejoin after being unbanned then they more then likely have an alt banned within the server. This is due to the fact that discord bans are IP based.

We are unable to assist with this as it falls onto Discord's systems and not Dyno's.
