I've tried literally every bot I could find that has an antispam feature including Dyno and nothing could pass my test with my alt spamming messages really fast

I just want a bot that would timeout my alt for spamming proving that it could handle a raid

I just want something that works

If someone can tell me why none of these antispam bots actually work and timeout my testing alt

That is not recommended. You need to set the prefix to something else, Dyno does have slash commands. Custom commands cannot be used as slash commands however.

Dyno can only do what you give permission for it to do, so if you don’t give it permission to view the channel, it won’t be able to- administrator permissions will bypass that.

Hi Murd, this can be achieved using "Custom Commands". One of the options you can set when creating a custom command is to have it DM the response to a user. There are also options to set the color of the embedded response as well.

I just wanted to report an issue that I suspect was caused by Dyno, but I cannot be 100% sure.

this morning, I realized that a pinned post of mine was deleted in a newly created forum, along with another post in that same forum. upon further investigation, I realized there were 50+ messages from various members deleted throughout the server as well.

ALL of these messages were deleted at 9:19am EST 07/30/2025
there is no record of this purge/bulk delete in the audit log
there is no record in the Dyno Logs of anyone using the purge command
there is no record at all of any moderators using the purge command with any other bot, I have also checked all of my other bot logs, and nothing is coming up in the system

The Autopurge module was toggled ON in the Dyno dashboard, however, that is a Standard Plan feature, and I am a free member. Even still, I did toggle if OFF just incase.

I included screenshots of everything I've seen asked for here in the past... please let me know if you need anything else!

I included just a few of the message logs showing the messages deleted, but there were a ton of messages deleted, more than shown in the screenshots.

Although I am not on the Standard plan, I do have to wonder if there was possibly a glitch where it bypassed it somehow and still auto-purged messages? I saw a few other members reported similar issues within the past week or so, which led me to report it here as well..

Hey there. You can add multiple roles to a user with the prefix version: ?role @user +role1, +role2, +role3, ...
The + before the role forces Dyno to add the role and not making it a toggle (remove it if the user already has the role)

For your second question, it's not, but you could assign a role instead with the permissions and then give that role to the users, you could even create a custom command to add/remove the role faster.

Dyno is very big, and is definitely one of the most popular bots out there. The uptime in general for Dyno has always been kinda bad in my experience.

My recommendation is, do not use Dyno as your primary tool for moderation. It's unreliable. I do however strongly recommend having it as a secondary backup bot, because it is very helpful and useful and has a lot of very good functions.

As a general day-to-day bot I've found it too unreliable sadly. I won't mention names of other bots you can use here as I figure that would be rather disrespectful to the developers, but it's worth having a backup plan in the event Dyno goes down.

i guess probably an bug of dyno, but it was very weird that he couldnt save things i did change for like 10-15 mins, resetting everytime after page restart

I have tried kicking the bot for over an hour just incase I needed to clear the cache, and im still getting the same result. There are no duplicates of the bot and I’ve turned every module off and back on again, still seeing the same issue.

Go to your account and search for "Authorized Apps". Once your there find the "Dyno" bot. Then click deauthorize.

Once that happens you will have to allow it to read your profile and whatever else it wants when you go to add it again through the web dashboard

Roles dont even appear on the members account.

Dyno is simply a service used to moderate users, and as such, Dyno Staff cannot help you with moderation issues from other servers. If you believed you were mistakenly banned or there was another issue, you must attempt to contact the staff of the server where you were banned. You can ask a friend to do this on your behalf or see if the server has any other social media. If the server has a Dyno appeal form set up, the link would have been DMed to you when you were banned.

Is something up with Dyno in general right now? It has been acting up in a number of ways of late:

1. The welcome module is sending every new join message twice all of a sudden. This cannot be because users are leaving and rejoining since it is doing so for every single new join message.

2. Sent a message in the starboard channel without including a link to said message as it normally does randomly. Then the next message it sent there had a link. So seems like it was a strange one-off issue out of nowhere.
