How do I get Dyno to respond to pings?

Configuring The Module

Head to the dashboard, log in and select your server.
Head to the Autoresponder module.

Ensure the module is enabled, otherwise Autoresponder will not work!

Select Add Response.
In the Trigger field, add the user ID that you want Dyno to respond to pings to you followed by a >. For example, 334093318818627586>.

Click here to learn how to get a user ID.

Select your response type and enter your response in the field below.
If you only want this autoresponder to affect some roles/channels, set them using the Allowed/Ignored Roles/Channels options below.
Select the Wildcard option. This will make Dyno respond to the ping when it is located anywhere in a message.
Click Add Response to finalize the Autoresponder!

Required Permissions

If Dyno does not have the Administrator permission, make sure Dyno has the following permissions:

How do I set up Autoban?

Configuring The Module

Head to the dashboard, log in and select your server.
Select the Modules tab and click on Auto Ban

Ensure the module is enabled, otherwise Auto Ban will not work!

Click on Create Rule
Give your Auto Ban rule a name, select a rule type and complete the other options if necessary

If you want the user to be DMed when they get banned, tick the relevant option.

Click Save, and you're all set!

Dyno Dyno Acknowledgements

Dyno acknowledges you based on certain criteria, they are organized as follows:
Server Owner
Server Admin - Administrator Permission
Server Manager - Roles added as Manager Role
Server Moderator - ?addmod

The Server Owner, Admins and Managers are considered Dyno Managers, they can use all commands and access the web dashboard.

Manager roles are added manually through the dashboard under Dashboard General Settings. They are considered Dyno Managers and can access the web dashboard.
Manager Roles can only be edited by those with the Administrator permission.

Moderator roles are added manually either using the ?addmod command or through the dashboard under the "Moderation" tab. By default Server Moderators can access commands listed under Moderator.

How do I setup Action Log?

Configuring The Module

Head to the dashboard, log in, and select your server
Select the Modules tab and click on Action Log.

Ensure the module is enabled, otherwise Action Log will not work!

If you would like each log type to go into separate channels, enable the Specify channels for each event option. If not, select select a Log Channel where enabled events will be logged to.
Enable the events you want to be logged, selecting a channel if necessary.
If there are events in channels you want not to be logged, select those channels as an "Ignored Channels". You can also select channel categories if you want all channels in that category to be ignored.
For Message Delete logs, if you do not want people with certain roles to be logged, select those roles in "Ignored Roles".
For Member Join and Leave events, you can have the log show the member's avatar when they join or leave the server. To enable this, enable the __Show avatar on join/leave messages__ option.
For the Member Join event, you can also choose the number of days in the "New Account Age" section, which will show the account's age if it is newer than what you specified

Required Permissions

If Dyno does not have the Administrator permission, make sure Dyno has these permissions in the channels you choose to send logs:

The reason you may see all servers you are in with Dyno via dyno.gg/account is because of the way Discord handles authentication and the fact we now allow you to add Manager Roles via the dashboard.
Servers you have permissions in and edit often will appear at the top of the list, servers you cannot access will return an error. Discord may add a new method which allows us to remove the extra servers in the future. DynoShield

How do I set up Autoban?

Configuring The Module

Head to the dashboard, log in and select your server.
Select the Modules tab and click on Auto Ban

Ensure the module is enabled, otherwise Auto Ban will not work!

Click on Create Rule
Give your Auto Ban rule a name, select a rule type and complete the other options if necessary

If you want the user to be DMed when they get banned, tick the relevant option.

Click Save, and you're all set!

Required Permissions

If Dyno does not have the Administrator permission, make sure Dyno has these permissions enabled:

Can't rejoin after ban was revoked?

We use Discord to ban users, so if the user can not rejoin after being unbanned then they more then likely have an alt banned within the server. This is due to the fact that discord bans are IP based.

We are unable to assist with this as it falls onto Discord's systems and not Dyno's.

It is recommended that Dyno has the Administrator permission.
Removing Administrator means that not only will you need to ensure the "Dyno" role has proper permissions, you will also have to ensure that Dyno has the correct permissions for every channel he has access in to ensure commands work correctly.
If you still choose to ignore that and remove Administrator, ensure Dyno always has these permissions:

Since Discord made their CDN links expire after some time, it is no longer recommended to use them when creating/editing something on the dashboard.

Two easy to use alternatives (that don't require an account) that we would recommend are Imgur or Postimage. You can also use any other service you like, but either way, make sure the image link you copy ends in a valid file extension (such as .jpg, .png or .gif).

Dyno is simply a service used to moderate users, and as such, Dyno Staff cannot help you with moderation issues from other servers. If you believed you were mistakenly banned or there was another issue, you must attempt to contact the staff of the server where you were banned. You can ask a friend to do this on your behalf or see if the server has any other social media. If the server has a Dyno appeal form set up, the link would have been DMed to you when you were banned.

How to moderate/respond to pings

Note: Dyno only has the power of a Discord Bot Account and cannot prevent messages from being sent. With either of the options below, the user will still receive the ping.

First, obtain the ID of the user(s) whose ping you want to moderate/respond to. You will need this for both of the following options.

Deleting/Moderating the Ping

1. Head to the dashboard, Login or Manage Server, and select your server.
2. Head to the Automod module.
3. Select Create Rule and give a Rule Name.
4. Select the Bad Words rule type.
5. Under Banned Words (wildcard), add the ID(s) you obtained from the first step followed by a >. For example, 334093318818627586>.
6. Under Actions, select the actions you want Dyno to take when the user is mentioned.
7. If you only want this rule to affect some roles/channels, set them under the Permissions tab.
8. Click Create Rule!
Notes:

All Automod rules will not affect Dyno Moderators and Managers.
With Premium, you can select the Warn punishment and set a Custom Response under the Additional Options, by doing that you don't need to follow the rest of the steps!

Sending a Message

1. Head to the dashboard, Login or Manage Server, and select your server.
2. Head to the Autoresponder module.
3. Select Add Response.
4. In the Trigger field, add the ID you obtained from the first step followed by a >. For example, 334093318818627586>.
5. Select your response type and enter your response in the field below.
6. If you only want this autoresponder to affect some roles/channels, set them using the Allowed/Ignored Roles/Channels options.
7. Select the Wildcard option. This will make Dyno respond to the ping when it is located anywhere in a message.
8. Click Add Response!

Dyno has and will have both chat and slash commands for the foreseeable future (apart from Custom Commands which are only chat commands for now). That is because Dyno has received the Message Intent from Discord, allowing it to have both (and other bots that may have it for that matter).

Server Owner
Server Admin - Administrator Permission
Server Manager - Roles added as Manager Role
Server Moderator - ?addmod

The Server Owner, Admins and Managers are considered Dyno Managers, they can use all commands and access the web dashboard.
