🧵 Rogers & Rice — which route is better?

Rogers 🤝 Rice have been killing my rank every GW.
They keep returning, they keep rising, and not owning both has been a constant red-arrow tax.

So I mapped out two routes 👇

🔴 Route 1 – Fast & aggressive
GW21:
• Saka ➝ Rice
• Wilson ➝ Rogers

➡️ Both mids secured immediately
➡️ £1.9m ITB for a Cunha -> Bruno F. easy and free cash after
➡️ Fixes the problem right now

❌ Downside: requires a –4 hit and once Saka is gone, there’s no easy way back. Very much an all-in move

🟢 Route 2 – Slower & controlled
GW21:
• Raya ➝ Verbruggen
• Wilson ➝ Rogers

GW22:
• Cunha ➝ Rice (United play City)

GW24:
• Foden ➝ Bruno F

➡️ 1 time -4 hit
➡️ Keeps premium flexibility
➡️ Structure stays intact

Slower, but much safer for rank

Both routes “final” product

But look at how your players rotate later. Don't just bring in players who are good short term and will cause you benching headaches but will later need a transfer out

With some good planning you will be able to get 5-6-7-8 players in your team ahead of doubles

If you wildcard, think super long term and bank as many transfers as possible. Give your players time and don't kneejerk

Not a huge fan of double ars and double everton def. Timber is fine if you wanna bet on him but pickford to someone like kelleher could be good, good rotation with dubravka, if you trust brentford defence you should go for it.

I really don't rate guimaraes. He's been very lucky with returns. I think there are better players than him at his price range. Rice, enzo are some of the examples. Gordon as a punt too if you can get to him.

Go to any online transfer planner and see if you have any weak gameweeks in the future 6 or so weeks and change your team accordingly to avoid having to improve your team later and waste transfers cuz ur gonna be missing a wc.

Most important thing is to look at how your players rotate in the future, that way you don't have weeks where you have huge benching headaches and weeks where you have to play players you usually would bench

I'm not gonna focus much on the smaller dgw rn in my next messages, that can be managed more easily

In the bigger dgw, set up in a way that you have 11 playable players in the blank gw

And then fh in the dgw

A couple of weeks before the dgw and blank just sell players than blank till you have 11 that don't blank

It’s alright. Double Everton def might be a bit risky, Cherki’s minutes might do down a bit if/when Semenyo joins. Rogers overperforming. Personally would go Anderson over Wilson.

Just some things to think about, nothing you have to do of course. If this feels good just keep it as is because it’s acceptable as is
