For old times sake. There are of course many other permutations but in the interest of simplicity I've tried to cut out all of what's possible and just include what I consider most likely. All noted below refers to this formation/set up in mind.

As usual with Pep if you get that initial part wrong you can be out everywhere (Ie Gvardiol LW changes so much).

Can't see Ake starting twice in 3 days after just returning.

Actually think Akanji and Stones would be better for this one and Dias miss out but given Stones has played alot and Akanji is just back (and Dias just got a rest again) I expect he comes back in and Akanji/Stones is therefore close to a 50/50 (Akanji is better as the CCB for me as can cover left channels better than Stones can). Stones is better at RCB and playing well, just worry about injury.

In games like these in the past. (Home vs the very weakest teams) he has dropped Rodri even and played Gundogan as the 6 (Similar to recent CL games but dropping Kovacic who is Rodri stand in).

This would be ideal to fit everyone we want fantasy relevant in but obviously carries more risk.

Lewis has played alot, eventually eveyone rests. However this game looks tailor made for his skills so I wouldn't expect that to occur here unless he uses Stones to do it (or goes Stones RCB and Gvardiol goes fwd). Seems unlikely as Gvardiol is a threat even at LCB when he gets space as we have seen so why limit it with only one attacking def rather than the current (almost) duel set up in settled possession.

I would expect the wingers to be wide like all season to stretch the defence as much as possible, Savio does that best so would be suprised if he didn't play. Nunes was great last game and although it was vs minnows Pep is lacking options and he probably deserves a chance again.

That means unless he wants to use Silva on the wing (really? Vs Saints when u need width???) Then one of Foden/Silva/Gundogan seems likely to miss out. (Unless Gundo 6 as discussed)

I simply went with Gundo start in the end as I think Pep still thinks he offers more goal threat in these games but it could easily be Silva instead who of course is great at finding space.

That means Foden is in but I don't know if that's just me willing it as this point. If you were to go by mins midweek then Foden bench looks more likely.

I'm 60/40 he plays for reference in this setup simply as surely Pep can see they need goals and no other player outside Haaland offers them.

As mentioned before this is all in reference to this setup. Dibbling does offer some counter threat and ball carrying which Pep is terrified of so he may look to nullify that. I don't know enough about Saints to know what other threats they offer. Despite them semingly trying to be expansive and play out from the back in some previous games I can't see them doing that here and would expect them to copy the recent blueprint to test City. Ie defend compact in the box and look to counter with pace.
