why do they (prob the card fan) sound like a learjet taking off when i play swtor, but not other games?
i'm not running ultra, don't feel the need to, most times it's a blur anyways lol

i use speccy for my info, let me know what else you need if you're helping please.

to add, i cleaned my pc because of this, removed dust from all fans n surfaces i can reach.

no i didn't use a vacuum right on the mobo or the like, however didn't have compressed air either. i also refreshed the thermo paste for both gpu and cpu fans. still no change to them spinning up like this

Idk but i do know that when they "redid" the graphics on some of the lowbie planets my fans get loud on Tython and stuff

it's happenign a lot in open world content. i noticed cuzz on dantooine, i go into that imp hidey hole for the med and qt point, and it quiets right down

i think this is why. you have an older GPU and i5 🙁 FYI same I have high end pc and on Tattoine is sluggish. make sure you don't have chrome on the background or any other applications.

hol up. can you run swtor from the NVMe drive , its a lil faster there

i have, it still sounds the same, whether on that apps recommended gfx settings, minimal, or ultra lol

i put it on hdd cuzz it seems to not cause as bad of an issue, idk

i did, but i copied the files out to another folder, then uninstalled the prev one. and used the setup.exe to create the new registry entries. than copied the backup into the current install folder

long processes, yes, but i don't trust windows to just let me do it any other way lol

well, it's back to the slow load, but it's not freezing like it did on the ssd

everything that is an actuall HDD needs to go away cause only windows needs to be in HDD

idk what the diff is, but it's what came with teh comp. and my funds are limited, esp with vehichle and home repairs coming up

i didn't have compressed air, so i brushed off what i could, used a soft microfiber cloth on the fans themselves, redid the thermal paste as well. no change from before to after

#

even checked the nvme, has some thick rubber backing on it, like a diff kind of heatshield i guess.
