If you want to do the hardest endgame content, you should play powertech/vanguard or marauder/sentinel as they are highest dps in the game right now

Sorcerer/sage is ranged so mostly Force "magic" attacks from a distance

The lightsaber is ceremonial, you won't be attacking with it largely

You can play marauder as warrior or inquisitor, but historically it was associated with warrior

Any Force user combat style can be any Force user story, and any tech combat style can be any tech story

assassin/hadow for dps, hatred/serenity build based on which you chose

but, its' 2h pole saber. so if you get a 2nd combat spec (sub required) you'll have that to consider

also, another question, somewhat related to classes, but how can you unlock light sided classes on dark side origin stories and vice versa (for warrior/knight and inquisitor/consular)?

Legacy of Unity and Legacy of Sacrifice. Mouse over and it'll show you all the ways to unlock

I wouldn't waste cartel coins on them though. Better to unlock one of the other 2 ways

That might mean you haven't set up your legacy yet

What level is your character? You need to be at least level 10

wait for the first one, does it matter what class you do it on? or can I get the light side points on a sith warrior?

You can get light or dark side points on any character in either faction, yes

so I don't have to be a jedi knight or consular and get the max light rep to be able to use them on warrior or inquisitor

Says up top the 3 ways to unlock there. For unlocking dark side styles for Jedi origins, it's the same thing except you need Dark V to unlock it that way

And yeah it doesn't matter which character, you just need to get one character to Light V or Dark V on that server

if you delete the character that has completed the legacy quest thing, do you still have the ability to use light classes on sith and vice versa?

I think so, as long as you unlock it in the legacy menu first

before deleting
