#anyone know how to fix accepting EULA agreement every time I open launcher to play game?

known issue with new steam installs
start a install with the standalone launcher in a different location, accept the eula there and stand stop the install
copy the eula.settings file over to the steam version , that should stop it for now
These are the specific instructions I nabbed from another server I'm in.
- Go to the swtor site, click on "play now" then on "download now"
- Launch the SWTOR_setup.exe and proceed with the download and installation of the launcher
- When the launcher pops up, accept the EULA, once you've accepted it'll start downloading the game so pause that (you can quit the launcher and ignore the "you're patching" message)
- Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\BioWare\Star Wars - The Old Republic (that's the default location, if you installed it somewhere else, go there)
- Copy the eula.settings file
- Paste it in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Star Wars - The Old Republic (or wherever your Steam games are located)
That did the trick for me.
Don't forget to run the SWTOR_setup.exe again to remove the legacy launcher if you need to (I'm backing up the eula.settings file somewhere else first just in case)
Can someone post the eula.settings file needed here if it is allowed so we can just download and move it
i wanna add, i did try this method myself and it didnt work for me
looking online i see loads of other reports that it didnt work for a bunch of ppl either
i even had issues that my game refused to even boot up anymore, making me have to reinstall the whole thing in the end cos i couldnt get it to work
i decided to just deal with the prompts to accept the eula every time i start up lol
99% of the file is the the same for everyone, but that last 1% seems to be a unique account id.
The steam launcher can't create the file (hence the problem), it also can't update the file.
So using someone else's file will do nothing unless you can figure out where to find that unique id.
Which I haven't.
So best thing to do is make the file using the stand alone launcher and back it up to the cloud.
