Hey,
How the title already says, do I wanna buy a new graphic card since my current rig is a bit oudated in my opinion and I wannt to upgrade my pc.

I was playing with the idea to buy a 4070 (for 600$) or the RX 6950 xt ( for 650$).

I already watched several videos abt that and also overall tech-videos but in every single videos do I find a different opinion, stats etc.

Thats why I want to ask here for someone you really has a lot of experience with this topic and can me help out.

I can spend max 700-750$

Well what CPU and PSU do you have

What graphic card do you currently have and what monitor do you use // games you want to play

#

Honestly I would pick up a used 3080 or even 3090 if possible over buying a new GPU

#

Depends how the market is around you but recently second hand market has been oversaturated with graphic cards so you can get a good deal

I currently have the 2070 super and a 144hz monitor

#

and i mainly wanna play most of the newest games with more than 100 fps on max settings

#

for example MW2, Battlefield 2042, wanna try out star citizin (ofc not with the hope to reach 144fps lol) on other games for which u need a lot of perfomance.

#

I mean ye, i could maybe go with 3080 but i would prefer to buy a brand new graka which is that good that I dont need to be worried for the next 4-5 years or even longer to play new games with a lot of fps on hig settings

#

raytracing is not that important for tbh same with DLSS but i wouldnt say no to raytracing.
but its not that important

If you're going for 4-5 years you will probably hit a cpu bottleneck since 6 Cores are starting to get utilized properly

#

What definition btw

yea if you are looking for max settings at 144fps in a few years you probably won't get around a 4090 at this point

#

but you'd need a new CPU along with that as Black Heart said

ye, i can imagine to buy a new cpu in the upcoming years but for now i wanna upgrade my gpu

#

but i believe the 6950xt should be a great upgrade tho atm

pretty sure a 4070ti costs about the same and is slightly better
