No. You will level pretty fast. You dont need to concern yourself with an optimal anything until 80.

Best thing you can do is just learn what your skills do, and when to use things like defensive cooldowns, etc

Cartel market is okay, and probably easier to get.

I've found the REclusive Master's Armor Set, which looks great, but I"d prefer something more robey as opposed to a cloak with a hood.

Also, it appears that having a cloak clip through robes when you're in combat stance is a fact of life here.

ok so, I have a small issue with the collections game mechanic that im trying to figure out:

So, theres a set of cartel armor that I want to use on a different toon, toon B ill call them. I have the entire set accessible to me in my legacy cargo, but I do not have it unlocked in collections, aka its unbound and I can trade with it on gtm if I wanted to, save for exactly one piece of the armor which I am using on toon A, a different toon. Now, this one piece of armor is now bound to toon A, however this one piece is not unlocked on collections, so I'm assuming I would need to bind the entire rest of the armor set if I wish to unlock it in collections. With that fact in mind, if I choose to use the remaining armor piece on toon B, binding them to toon B, will the entire armor set remain locked in collections despite me technically having the set bound to my account, just across characters?

How are the healing styles of the Smuggler, Consular, and Trooper different?

Commando/Merc and Sorc/Sage are more reactive healers in that their heals are instant, while Smugg/Op heals are proactive healers, where they place heals over time on allies

Op/Scoundrel is a little stronger but its a also harder since HoTs

That's actually quite perfect, I started as Knight

it's definitely my most used crafting skill by far

anyways, you have a good setup if you want everything

just be aware that you dont NEED everything

technically you get enough options for gear that Armstech, Armormech and Synthweaving can be skipped until you decide what augments you want in endgame

since you get geat while levelling and can also buy cosmetic shells to equip with mods that you buy on the fleet in 4 level increments

to always be well geared

and instead you could take more gathering skills for passive money

but as long as you have an Artificer and a Biochemist you'll be fine, everything else is personal preference imo

oh by shells I mean armor pieces that have no stats themselves but have empty slots for "Armoring", "Modification" and "Enhancement" which are mods with modular stats that you can pick and combine hwoever you want

and each faction has vendors in the central hub (fleet) that sell them eevry 4 levels

hmmm idk how to explain it better, but basically

there's two ways to gear

(1) you use armor pieces that have preset stats. They will have Mastery (every class's primary stat) as well as a certain combination of secondary and tertiary stats. There is no way of changing what those stats are after you obtain the item.

(2) you take an empty shell, which visually looks jsut like any other armor but has NO stats. You can buy (or craft) an armoring which will have Mastery and Endurance, a Mod which will have Mastery and a secondary stat, as well as an Enhancement which will have MAstery and a Tertiary stat. You can choose whichever stats you currently want the most and then put them into your armor piece

I was just trying to say that you don't need the gear crafting skills if you don't want to craft your own gear since there are plenty of methods to get to your needed stats

seriously just play hwoever you want and do whatever feels most enjoyable to you

Do a google search for the different paths to take, but, ultimately, you will need to buy with OP-1 tokens (from ops), or as a drop, whatever as I said, several different ways, and then upgrade it to 340.

Join the allies channel on your server and look at for DF/DP frag runs. You'll get tech frags for your legendary implants and OP-1s for upgrading a piece to 340

im currently at 338 IR, with 332 implants, 336 purple relics, and 340 prototype modded gear as a darkness assassin. The road to 344 seems a fair bit daunting, and most guides are focused around dps classes. Are ops required? I'm not subbed

I apologize if this isn't the appropriate spot for this question. I am a returning player that plans on playing casually only (Vet/Master flashpoints - no operations). I assume that the max Ilvl for me is 340 under this condition, and that I can only get "blue" gear if I don't do the raids.

Furthermore, I thought I heard one time that I only need to level up one of my legendary relics and not both of them? Is this true? If so, how exactly does that work for your character and alts on the server?

theres currency conversion options that allow you to get ops catalyst without doing operations however they're extremely inefficient so it'll take quite a bit longer
im assuming whoever talked to you meant legendary implants and simply flubbed their wording, and no its better to progress 2 at the same rating, theres a slight jump you can do via a technical loophole in the upgrading system (unless they've patched it), one of the discounts applies to the rating above it so you save 8k frags in the overall upgrade process

Is legendary status only tied to a legacy or account wide? On one server I have the Knight and Consular stories done and the icons lit, but my boosted character server(knight) has none, and my sith warrior main server has only the knight lit up(but no complete stories on that one)

Yep, but F2P / Prefered players (without active sub) cant keep more than 1 million Credit on 1 character. So if @night lake have all the Gift's XP & Time boost unlocked with credit, then

• he will have to give 478 purple gift to a normal companion (from the type he/she/it like the most), these gift costs 10 000 Cr on the fleet, so overall a 4,8 Million Credit
• while the Cartel Market companions need 377 Purple Jawa Junk gift (just dont try giving Maintenanc gift to a beast or Delicacies type gift to a droid), these gift costs 2 Purple Jawa Junk at the Cartel Bazaar, so overall a 754 Junk
  (Buut its worth to check GTN, because people may sell the gifts for lower prices)

I dont think that 7,5 Million Credit with the Dark Projects method worth it, or bothering with yellow gifts. Just because you spare that 13 minuten of gift giving 🤷

To leave the previous flashpoint in SWTOR, you can either click the Exit Area button located above your minimap or use the command /leave followed by Exit Area. If you're stuck or need to reset the flashpoint, you can also right-click your portrait and select the "Reset local phases" option

A character's credits are limited to that number whether the credits are in escrow or in the normal inventory wallet. There's no way to go over the credit cap because the game looks at both of those places as part of the total. If you fill up your escrow to the cap and your normal credits are at 1m as well, adding any further credits will only send them off into oblivion. They are wasted. They game lets you claim them from mission rewards and gtn sales, etc, but it only gives you warnings that you are close to the limit and doesn't stop you from claiming credits into the abyss. I've claimed a few hundred million from gtn sales while at my escrow and personal limit, and they don't get added.

Legacy menu under global unlocks, perks, and then alignment at the top. It tells you how to unlock each on mousing over

any of those combat styles can be played by a character with any Force alignment (as long as they're Jedi or Sith)

You have to have reached rank V on the oppisite alignment (Dark V for Jedi that want Sith styles, or Light V for Sith that want Jedi styles) in order to unlock an opposite-style Force User combat style.
(And you can choose a 2nd combat style after completing Chapter 3 of a class story.)

Dont worry, you still can do this, you just have to find a trustworthy guy with sub, who are willing to buy that Pureblood unlock on the GTN for 4 million, then trade it to him, you just have to feed him with 900 000 Cr 6 times. To compensate his expenses, then i would say you will also have to give 1 extra 900 K Cr for his time and services (but it is upon him if he is a Capitalist or an Altruist).
But its also worth to make a screenshot of the deal and a video record of the trade so you can prove to anyone if he cheated you. Ooor how to find a really trustworthy person ? I believe you have to join one of the most (or enough) popular Guild, and ask the Leaders there for this help, they cant lose their reputation by cheating you.

I also have a fairly high end rig and suffer from lower fps in world boss content. It mainly stems from the game not being optimized very well (the downsides of being on a game engine from 2011)

Crew Skills are used for making items, there is no "better" crew skill for different classes, however if you want a Thematic crewskill, you could Either go with Armstech to make Guns, with Scavenging & Investigation to find the items needed to craft with Armstech. Your second Option would be Armormech., which makes medium & heavy armors. It will also use Scavenging to help with items, however it will also use Underworld Trading.

If you plan on endgame raiding or high-end content, I always recommend having at least 1 character with Biochem (Bionanalysis & Diplomacy), to make medicine, stims, adrenals, etc

I beleive it is easier if your friend using Steam, because you can just gift them with any game, including SWTOR sub.
But there are many negative SWTOR related feedback on Steam, complaining about they did not received their Sub / CC, i personally would not risk to buy these on Steam.

Because both of the Steam and Standalone client user can redeem codes, you just have to go to Amazon and buy an SWTOR Sub CODE, then he can activate it on the official website.
But as i see Amazon is not selling 1 month sub, the cheapest one is 3 month, so maybe you should check more WebStore, but be aware because some of them may be illegal. You dont want to risk a ban on your Friend's account dont you ? 🤷

(but you wont get any Guild reward for a "half weeks", (a week ends at tuesday 12:00 UTC), so you have 19,5 hour from now to join a Guild if you want to get a Guild reward next week)

If you've already equipped both tacticals previously then yes you can switch between them after the sub lapses

they will say "previously authorized by subscription" on them

if you're not subbed, don't have artifact auth, and try to equip a new tactical, it won't let you

There is no such thing as "best healing comp for this or that class", all the normal companions perform almost the same, @chrome parrot yo can pick up any normal comp you want, you wont notice the difference, if you want to notice it, you need K1-Z3N , or Z0-0M but those are Cartel Market Companions (the best healers in the game) while the worst healers are Treek, any Beasts, HK-51.

yep Galactic Season vendor on the fleet, its offers rotate every week, so you can buy different one at A / B / C / D week, and you need Galactic Season Token for them. But you can also buy Cartel Market companions from GTN, but it will be more expensive if you want to lvl up them, since they dont really like the normal gift, but the Cartel Bazar gifts.

I think the only thing you can block yourself from is a romance - if you don't choose the flirt options, for example, you'll never unlock the romance

there are a few extra dialogues if you romance an NPC, but you won't STOP a companion's dialogue. Only like 1 or 2 companions each story actually give you sidequests to go on with them, while most of the others are just dialogue as they go and do offscreen stuff

it is tricky since when you unlock it, a message will appear, "The Shroud Of Memory has beend added to your Collection!" but there is nothing in the collecton window if you go into another char in order to grab it. Instead you just find a new alliance allert where you can start the missions in the Companion window. Then if you completed it you can go to the Chapters (Shift + E) and see an additional Shroud Of Memory chapter in the bottom of the KOTFE section.
BUT dont worry all of these will be automatical if you are starting the expansion from the beginning, it is just complicated if you finished it already on a char. Of course you have to complete all the 16 chapter (and the ‘To Find a Findsman’ , then the 'Arma Rasa') until the Shroud Of Memory became the next story line for you. Maybe this sound complicated but honestly all you have to do is just finishing the missions whats pops up and keep your eyes on the Companion window.

Yup, it seems both Knight and Consular are from the same crate, so that's the one I took

you can pick a trooper armor too, your story class does not matter, oh and these peieces are adaptive legacy bound armors, so you can put end-game mods into them and switch the armor between chars, (so it is useful)

while the normal adaptive armors what you can buy on the fleet are bound to that char which purchased them

Thanks. I figured it out with some testing. The infected creature one only ticks when you defeat enemies with the "infected" name tag, such as Infected Settler and Infected Sand Person. These enemies tick both "Enforcing the Quarantine" and "Tunnel Eradication". The Rakghoul enemies only tick the latter.

Story up to level 80 will be unlocked permanently, even after the sub lapses

Some other things require an active sub like operations, getting rid of the 1 mil credit cap, switching between 2 combat styles on one character

you are my guy, exactly my policy, i only sub 2 times / year for 1-1 month, and im totally fine, maybe these subs are even too much 🤷
Otherwise you can grind fast Flashpoints for full blue item rating 340 gear which is enough for PvP and PvE, (or even exchange those FP-1 Stab into OP-1 Catalist for purple gear). the only real restrictions are the 1 M Cr cap and the Escrow cap, which can be solved with those 1-2 sub / year, or even less frequent subs (depending how much Cr you gain during a year, and on what do you want to spend them)

that is called Commander Character Token what you got for your first sub, which allow you to create an lvl 70 char which story will start after Zakuul

it completes the class quest with the default choices, so i beleive for example a Warrior choosed all the dark side option in dialogues
but you wont get those dark side points, just if you meet a char during the story .. for example Malora, she probably wont be that happy to see you again

you can do Flashpoints even from lvl 10, but if you want to be efficeient in PvP you need at least item rating 340 gear, which comes from those flashpoints where you are using an lvl 80 char

so if you just want to reach lvl 80 then Commander Character Token can give you a boost since you start from lvl 70, and you just have to farm Flashpoints to reach lvl 80

just farm Flashpoints via group finder then, for example Hammer Station rounds are really fast, press Ctrl + G then ⤵️

Hey finally got the dark saber color crystal but I see the crystals/box are bound to my character, if I wanna potentially use the color on other characters would I be able to move their weapon to my character with the crystals, slot it in and then transfer it back to the other character?
