can you be a little more specific?
Is the order mandatory? And if not, are the expansions connected in any way?
Several sections are it are mandatory but not all of it. the expansions are mandatory done in order as it gives you the missions in order. the class story also follows a flow the only choices being which planets you go to first or second in different sections, but plenty of the side stories can be skipped if you wish
sometimes i encounter an incomprehensible and very annoying bug: i'm listing items to sell on the GTN and suddenly i can't list them anymore
i have money to pay the deposit fee and enough trade slots (i already listed the same amount of items yesterday, they were bought, i want to sell the same amount again), no connection issues
i just click "create sale" and nothing happens
how is that possible? >_<
at least going to the character screen and back helped
interesting
I only have issues listing mando personnel decos
and that has been consistent since 7.2
some time ago it happened with medpacs on another character, today it happed with all types of adrenals+stims on my main biochemist
So I'm currently playing the Sith Warrior class story (lvl 35) and until now I have used the default disclipline. But I have heard that both Fury and Annihilation are the better discliplines. However when I tried them, I felt way weaker. Is it just because I'm too bad and not used to the classes yet or because I haven't unlocked the "good" moves yet?
I just find myself using the basic attack too often because the other moves are on cooldown or dot attacks that don't deal too much damage
at low level, it's just a general given that you won't do as high of damage as you could when higher level
both because of the stats you'd have, as well as the abilities you'd acquire (+ a rotation when you're high level; low level doesn't really have a rotation)
it's understandable that you're utilizing basic attack at your level because you won't have all of the abilities x combat style has at max level to be able to be well-off in not completely relying on basic attack
tldr as you level up you'll get better damage output + more abilities to string together
it isn't 'cause yer bad
Alright thank you. Just felt weird that I used the basic attacks so often. On carnage you at least have the non cooldown attack that costs rage and does more damage. But it makes sense that I will unlock the good stuff later
Thank you!

what adrenal/stimulant should a healer use? combat medic commando
If someone is planning on making a heavy RP guild catered towards a neutral independent faction, how much should be done before considering looking for potential officers and founding members? (Assume that a Guild SH has been purchased and in the works of buying a Flagship.)
However much you think is needed for an rp. What about uniforms? What about specific guides and rule books if you plan to have soldiers what is their ranks. How do you achieve those ranks, what about specific types of weapons or departments, etc.
My right click in combat stopped working. I can’t right click to basic anymore. How do I fix it
did you change your abilities around?
Yes, but not my basic
Is it doable to play tank with dps equip?
For solo stuff it should be fine right?
Or maybe at minimum i should wear shield
it's possible, yea
tank with DPS gear used to be very popular in PvP years ago
idk if it still is
At the moment, working on the ability system and I have a general idea of what I want to go for. However, my worry is that the concept will either garner little to no attraction.
If I am, however, looking for members to help construct a guild, where do I go again? Sorry for the spam.
Could put it in guild recruitment, explain the plan, see if anyones interested
i wish there was some topic for people looking for guilds, not only guilds looking for new members
Only thing I can suggest at this point is to just eyeball recruitment and see if one strikes your fancy. I know mods and stuff watch this channel and may see the suggestion for another topic.
Understood, thanks again.
How do you get archeology to get things like crystals found around Ilum?
go to your faction fleet, their will be a section on the fleet with a bunch of NPS that you can speak too to get the different crew skills as they're known
Thanks
I've previously posted an advertisement on me making a guild, but I sort of abandoned that post. Will I be able to make another post in regards to actively recruiting/looking for officers?
You can post within your own threat again to boost it to the top of the pile if you not messaged in 5 days on it
Are the Manarai Mountains on Coruscant in SWTOR?
Even if you can't get to them
The ones that Luke sees from the top of the (then) Imperial Palace in Heir to The Empire
Just wondering here but for the love of god how do I access some sort of player stash or storage inventory?
go to your personal ship, their should be a character storage and legacy storage
the ship one needs to be unlocked via legacy
if you go to your faction's fleet, you can find all 3 types of cargo bay in the center ring close to where you spawn
you can also get storage access for your ship as Glasses said, as well as for personal strongholds
there are also more cargo holds spread across other planets occasionally
but easiest access if you don't have your own is the fleet
Thanks Nim
Thanks Glasses
np my dude
So, I have a dilemma. I've been tracking the Kreia Armor Set on the GTN for a few weeks, but the most amount of credits I've ever collected was about 4 mil, way less than the lowest price I've seen the armor set. I recently bought the Dathomir Shaman Armor Set from the Cartel Market, and I could probably sell that for the credits I need to buy the Kreia set, but I was thinking of using the set for a character. Should I keep the Shaman set or sell it in hopes of getting the Kreia set?
I would keep the armor set and learn how to make credits so you can buy the other armor you want
How would you recommend I make credits?
if you're good at noticing trends, crafting & making high end gear with crafting/gathering is one good way
you can buy hypercrates on CM, and then sell the items you get for gil
i used to make a bunch of credits of people paying me to run them through nightmare content, so you could do that as well
problem is now adays people want to pay a full group to carry them to the items they want/ achievements so would need friends for this
Your best bet for a new person to making credits is begin to learn crafting, selling crystals etc or get a hypercrate
Where do you get a hypercrate from?
cartel market
yo wassup i need some info, i bought a subscription when 7.0 came out and i ain't subscribed no more, will i get access to the 7.2 storyline or i need to subscribe again
now not 100% on this but think you'll need to resub
i got access i think
fair enough then
honestly no idea don't remember the names of missions, try it and find out
Most purple missions with launch are main quest missions
Only real exception i can think of is the HK-55 mission
my sub expired right after 7.0 came still i have access to Manaan and Ruhnuk which came later, so i think it works for all 7.X parts of the expansion
I started playing a bit ago and am thinking about subbing for 2 months to get preferred. I know the Sector X mission is only for subs or cartel but if I complete it do I get to keep HK-51 when my sub runs out without buying the quest?
yes you can keep it
Cool, thx
is there any functional difference between speeder piloting bought through the legacy vs through class trainer?
tier 4/5 only avail in legacy, same speeds on all others regardless of source
FTP player here, why can't I equip any gear from Flashpoints?
you're restricted to green and blue border gear, anything purple resell on gtn
along with modables & cosmetics at adaptive vendor next to level 10 supply in outer ring
Hi is it worth it to do Hammer Station as a low level since it is only playable on Veteran instead of having a "Story" mode
Their is a story mode i believe if you go to the terminal on one of the planets
As for doing it at low level. Depends if you trying to do the flashpoints in order alongside your class story
Or if you struggling with leveling
Otherwise no
how do I change the up and down camera rotation from holding down left mouse and moving it up and down to another key binding ( example like up and down arrow keys to move camera angle up and down)????
You need to go into prefrences then across the bottom are small tabs and click on key binding
yeah i figured that out i know how to key bind ive already keybinded everything. except the camera toation turn up and down. there is litterly no option for it unles ive missed something and im pretty sure like 99% sure i did'nt since i was in keybinds for the last 3 hours
and if I'm being honest this game really sucks, its way to clunky in all aspects. and that's saying a lot since I'm a diehard star wars fan and one of the hardest gamers you'll ever meet. this game is just yeah most defiantly not worth much of any time.
Then don't play it?
It is a rather old game it's not going to have the best performance. Never the less i believe it's still worth playing
As for your question, if you can not find the option within the keybinds tab itself then not sure what else you can check maybe make a post on the tech support side of questions and see if a more tech savy person knows how, if even possible
what's the best or easiest way to get a purple 336 item to disassemble for hyde and zeek?
Go to the operation vendor buy a 324 piece and upgrade it if you only do sm content the only way to do it.
Or already have high ish gear go do veteran ops and hope for a purple accessory drop and then upgrade that
Kinda the only two ways
question regarding the attuned weapon obtained in chapter 12 of kotfe -- is there any lightsaber currently obtainable that has the same look or something similar?
try torfashion & swtorista for any potential knock-off previews & naming
oh hey, just what i needed
was playing through kotfe on my sentinel and i was annoyed by how chapter 12 only gave me one of said lightsaber, but i suppose i can just use outfits if i want matching lightsabers
new specialty goods vendors may have something as well
devs added them to diff planets.. usually near rep vendors
Do you have to pay with Cartel coins to unlock that last 5 season rewards?
only if you run out of ways to earn the points
Do you know where I can find info about that?
log. seasons objectives..
some pay 8 or 12 season pts.. the rest will be cartel coins for unlocks what you cant buy w credits
The information that states if you can't reach a season level that you have to pay with cartel coins
that will be on the seasons level disply
I can reach this next one but it will be locked
others have shown credits to unlock until then
you'll have to figure out if existing coin to buy more coin is a loss or gain
That's a non-sequitur. I'm not wondering about the value. I'm wondering why until now it has always been credits to unlock
Jump Ahead with Cartel Coins - As soon as the Galactic Season starts, players will be able to jump ahead in their progression by skipping Reward Levels with Cartel Coins. This is a fixed cost per skip, meaning the cost for a player to skip their first Reward Level is the same cost as them skipping their tenth Reward Level. This is a valuable option for players who want to gain an edge on their progression or anticipate being away from the game for a few days.
this is last week.. if you had done more seasons pts prior there would have been a credit buy option
7 of 7 objectives thru season play.. i fell short too on a couple servers
Where is this stated?
not really stated.. is up to player to figure out strategy to make it to 100 during a season by completing pts objectives during season
the log/conquest/seasons obj list will say if you have any pts left to play/grind for this week to lessen cc cost to finish
It isn't about strategy. It is about the ability to access features that are stated to be unlocked in a catch-up mechanic. I started playing again later in the season. The catch-up mechanic is specifically designed for people like me. But it doesn't seem to work like it is stated
I know. I have 1 more for this week at 12 and the rest are 8 options
This is all besides the point
catch up works best on secondary play servers, from my experience
devs do this regularly.. last week of season is hit n miss for completion each time depending on cc or credits buy ahead otions & what you have completed
the season objectives will say what you have left to make the 7 of 7 weeklies.. no extra credit each week
at the start of the season, you can't do any credit catch-up
after two weeks, you can do the first page and so on
it's a catch-up not an auto-complete
and since you can still do this week's objectives
you can't catch up past the point of last week
at least that's how I understood the logic
I do understand the issue with using the credit catch-up mechanic AFTER doing this week's objectives
and I feel like that is an odd design choice but yea, the game expected you to first use the catch-up and then do this week's objectives
correct.. sometimes a secondary play server.. (ie not to 1st one u logged onto during a season) may have an early buy ahead/catch up available but changes each season by devs
Are you saying that everyone is experiencing this?
It's designed for people who can not play the game constantly or miss a few weeks here and their
Not really designed if you started the game itself late into the sesson.
yes, you are not supposed to be able to buy the last 5 levels with credits
at least I think I remember that being the case with every previous season
I would just spend the 500 CC in your case since you get 800 + other stuff back but yea, timing sucks a bit
Just bought my 1st Stronghold on the present character I'm working on, but going into the Edit to find and place decorations shows I own two mailboxes and a GSN Terminal, but they are at 0/1 and 0/2. Does the list show your full inventory for your whole legacy?
Just thinking it must be showing what my other characters own, and not necessarily what this character owns.
yes, your decorations inventory is legacy wide, one for all characters on a server
Does anyone know where I can find my legacy mounts?
Just made a new character and I own a "bound to legacy" mount on my main. How do I get it over on my alt? It doesn't show up in the vehicles tab.
Legacy bank. Transfer the token from one character to another.
There’s some on fleet, oddessen and strongholds can have legacy bank.
But I consumed the token on my main no?
The mount is the Vicious Rodir (Level 1 Subscriber mount) for this galactic season
I earned it, claimed it, but it says it's bound to legacy.
Which should mean all my characters can use it right?
Ah. I believe you claim it for one. Then you can collections it for like 10 cc which allows you to use it for all. I haven’t done seasons in awhile so someone more familiar with it may be able to correct me
Yep you're right. It's 60 CC but that's kinda sucky lol. Well at least now I have this mount on all my guys
that's cheap some of the others can be 400cc
I know for cartel market items it’s 60 for bronze like 200 for silver 400 for gold and 600 for platinum
I thought galactic seasons was 10. But maybe I’m just dumb lol
GS 1 and 2 had it that way, GS 3 doesn't like us when it comes to unlocks
So, are weapon mods worth it to keep buying from the fleet?
until you get close to max level, yea
If i use the Boosted character start thing that comes with subbing on a Miraluka jedi will that unlock the race through the legacy the same way getting one to 50 will?
in the same way that changing species at appearance designer might.. perhaps
dbl chk the swtor forums & guides for better info?
prob depends on token type completion or not of class arcs
I believe it's under like a misc tab
their is definitely companions you can get on the GTN like the animal ones
no
a very late reply you need to search requisition for comsp to show, but be prepared to loose billions
Yeah I have 200M and the cheapest is like 199M
not super worth at this stage lol
yup
Do you need to have charactesr with maxxed out slicing, armstech, armormech and synthweaving to be able to craft all endgame gear?
you do not craft endgame gear you get it by doing content
you only craft augments
if you mean augments, then you need crafting skills:
- armormech - absorb, alacrity augs
- armstech - accuracy, shield, versatile augs
- syntweaving - critical, redoubt augs
- cybertech to craft CM-1337 which is needed for gold augs
slicing and other gathering skills are needed, too, to get mats for crafting, but you can buy mats on GTN as well (though mats are very expensive)
@stable blaze @shy coyote what stats are needed for healers? what augments should i be making for my healer characters?
what healer you playing?
I've got a commando and an operative
@peak crescent in #resources you can find SWTOR Theorycrafters, it'll tell you which gear & stats to go for at endgame
ok so you need no acc, get yourself 7.22% alc for 1,4 GCD, then pour the rest into crit
I'm in that server, where would i find those guides?
so alacrity and crit for my healers?
react to your calsses, i.e commando & operaticve
then go to designated channel and check pins
yup from what I have been told from my healers
@formal roost @stable blaze awesome thank you guys
no problem!
so long story short run endgame content to get the gear and then use the crafting skills to make the augs for the gear from the content?
or buy the augments
time to create a slicer, armormech and synthweaver
What does all of the stuff that you can buy with the scrap do?
Does HK-51 interact / talk during any of the story quests like other companions do sometimes?
no, HK-51 released after initial game drop, he will in some dlc stuff, but not base game
Ok thanks, kinda what I figured but thought I'd ask
Most of it is materials for crafting but some items for leveling up companions
I just finished with my Vengeance Juggernaut character. I would like something that's easier to play (less buttons). I have boomer reflexes and I can't keep up with 10-14 button rotations. What class is really good for low APM individuals?
I only play solo, this won't affect other players whatsoever. I just need something a bit more basic. That can operate with 5-7 abilities MAX
I can’t speak for this patch. Only last patch. But IO merc has a lot of casts and has a very static rotation not depending on procs or variance they’re a bit more tricky to play and you may feel as a solo player them underperforming in solo content as it’ll definitely feel slower than a vengeance jugg
But as someone who plays faster jobs like Lightning sorc and marauder, I feel like IO merc is much slower.
I think one of the operative specs as well as marksmanship sniper are both pretty slow as well. Operative dps is more melee than anything so if you want to stay as melee
However the default gcd this game has is 1.5 so the entire game might feel fast overall
If you’ve come from a diff game like ffxiv which has a 2.5s gcd
I have played many mmos before. Wow, ESO, New World, etc.
It's not that I find swtor fast/slow, I find it crazy overwhelming
I just am wondering if any classes specialize in fast CDs. So I only need to ever use 5 or so abilities.
The combat is 100% the thing holding me back from enjoying this game more.
I hear madness sorc is good for low apm due to it's long channeling abilities. Is that a good option?
Madness sorc is pretty good, from my memory: you'll apply 3 diff dots, you'll have force lightning, force leech, death field & shock for the main rotation, so 7 buttons excluding utility you'll still have utility like overload, electrocute, etc
Most jobs' button bloatss are for utility stuff like defensives, interrupts, stuns, knockbacks, etc
okay I might be able to work with that
But yea, anything with long channels, i.e IO, Sniper, etc all have casts, sniper has:
Snipe, Followthrough, penetrating shots, ambush, a dot, hell of a lot of utility, but i know that marks. sniper has very few abilitys in their main damage rotaion,
okay thanks I'll look into that then
Most jobs have unneccesary abilities, you'll find for each one has a somewhat straightforward damage rotation..if you can figure it out, I'd look into our #resources channel and take a look at the Theorycrafters discord, they'll give you information on each class , while most of it is at an endgame level, may give you an idea what you may be looking for in a class
How do you actually craft things?
On the fleet, you'll find crafting classes, Armormech, Armstech, Synthweaving, Biochem, etc when you interact with the trainer it'll give you a codex entry, to tell you which gathering class & companion class you need to pick up for that crafter to succeed
For example: Biochem makes medpacks, stims, etc, and you need Bioanalysis for gathering throughout the world to locate the plants & stuff you need, and then Diplomacy which allows your companions to get things like needles, etc
Okay
Also, what do you get with the monthly subscription other than access to the rest of the story chapters and preferred player?
Sure, I don't have the full list in front of me, but the ones I know off the top of my head are that subscribers get access to purple-rarity gear often dropping from flashpoints & pvp, so it may make it easier to level & gear, as you normally dont have access to that, for crafting/gathering, F2P only gets access to 1 crafting class per character, preferred gets 2, subscribers get 3, I believe f2p has around 25% less XP while levelling (which honestly isnt that bad, you get to do more of the game for the levels), and your credits are uncapped as a sub, while you can only hold up to 1mil as a preferred
Also you only get access to operations & ranked pvp as sub, cant do that as f2p/pref
Once my subscriptions runs out will my items be de-equipped that I normally wouldn't have permission to use (FP items?)
no, you can keep it equipped & have it's stats but you won't be able to re-equip it if you remove it
okay cool thanks
Vengenance is one of the most easy rotations in the game alongside one of the slowest specs in the game also playwise
The rotation is 5 main buttons and 2 filler moves at any moment so it's only really 7 buttons
As for if you're playing solo then you do not need a rotation, they only matter for endgame players not playing story etc
Madness needs much better apm than veng
All that is needed for story is to just press whatever you want at any moment
And have a healer companion
Nothing should really give you any difficulty as long as you keep your level same as what the game recommends or higher
even if the story is easy, it's much more enjoyable to feel effective
i'm old and came from a game without GCD at all, i don't understand its purpose apart from confusing me with additional time adjustment while all skills already have their CDs
i feel even more stupid reading how easy jugg is, while i still struggle with it after completing 3 chapters. for a noob like me the easiest class was assassin with like 6 buttons + stealth, never running out of mana. i don't even understand how to arrange buttons on my jugg and it's sad 'cause it's my favourite char =(
The point of the GCDs is to stop the spamming of one or two buttons and never using anything else. Take shatter on veng jugg. It does roughly 25% of the damage of the rotation when calculated. Which is a lot and that is when you have to wait for it due to CDs and GCDs imagine if none of that was in place
You'd just press shatter and veng slam. Thier is no skill there or anything to improve
Assassin's actual rotation is harder than juggs
I do have a guide i made if you need help with jugg
The problem is people think they know "the rotation" but often using it incorrectly or using the lower damage verson of it
I can share screenshots of my set up for jugg and the works i spent hours mid maxing it but the core of jugg is
5 buttons you always press and some choices for 2 filler moves till you wait for cooldown that's it
I believe it also has to do with animations. Just makes the game flow smoother pressing a button, animation plays, press another. But also it has to do with SWTORs predecessor game kotor which was turn based. MMO with gcd makes it kind of feel like turns. And also with no gcds the amount of damage you would do would be dependent on button mashing or macros. The gCD helps give everyone an even playing field.
The highest APM would win which is no fun for older people
Even as a clicker i out APM almost everyone i come across bar 1-2 people i know
So it would just be an unfair gamestyle
That is also why i am so confused why jugg is called fast here. Throughout my time learning endgame and doing all i can to eak out damage on my jugg to be in the top 1% for it. I have never been told it was fast. I was always told people didn't play it because it was slow due to animations etc
still i don't understand why not simply increase CDs for those skills that are quicker than GCD
i played KotOR in 'paused' mode, it was fun, but it was different
could you please share your guide?
i'm not sure i'll be able to understand it but i really want to play this char
i'm stuck using fillers a lot =(
All good i'll send it your way, it's best opened on a pc
Now this is pretty comprehensive so not all of it will be relivent too you/ stuff you will care about
I do also have a shorter more simple guide also
Noticed afew typos etc i made which i'll update sometime
thank you so much! i'll read it in the evening when i can look skills in the game as well
I can't find accurate info on dark/light alignment online. I'm brand new, and worried about choices I make with my characters. Apparently the toggle to grind for points is gone, so the only source now is story choices? I don't want to brick myself into something, so I should stick to taking choices even if I don't like them, to make sure I get the proper story changes? (mainly Inquisitor title)
Your choices in the main story make little to no difference what so ever expect for dialog everything happens all the same
The only time it remotely matters is in the expansions if you want certain companions etc
Otherwise the choice and alignments only matter if you want maxed dark or light
You can grind alignments in flashpoints but better of just doing the main story and planet stories
Yeah, that's what I'm asking mostly. I realize it barely at all matters, outside of very limited old cosmetic stuff, and some story beats. I do want to make sure I go for the light-aligned Inquisitor title, though, since I liked the sound of it
But I don't want to end up locking myself out of something, and I'd likely go back into dark side after the main character story is over to get cosmetics or whatever if anything catches my eye
I won't get locked out of having Khem Val, right?
No you can not lose companions based on your alignments choices
He will just dislike you
Yes he wont like it when you do light options
But it makes no difference to his actions etc you'll just get some snappy comments from him etc
Won't lock out the romance either?
Don't know tbh, not sure if you can even romance him
Nah my extensive research says you can, but it's in uh...
Ok googled it can not romance him till after ossus so waaaay later
yeah, later in the expansions apparently
So I can pump light side choices now to get the Imperius title, and then do dark at my leisure?
There's some repeatable way to gain it though, right? Not just once-off story choices?
you can also grind LS/DS alignment by running Diplomacy crew skill missions
i'd prefer that to choosing decisions you don't like just to grind alingment =)
Outside of crew skill grinding or flashpoint grinding no way to really repeat one easy step to get the aligment stuff it's not suppost to be easy it's meant to be a grind
Yeah, but it's realistic to go more heavily into light side during the main story for the title, and then go dark? there's a bunch of expansions, I bet a LOOOt of choices to weight back in
You do not lose the title once you got it
If I wanna roll as a jedi knight like this version of Luke but be a little tanky like he was in the show, I’m guessing that would be guardian class then?
Was trying to go for an immortal jedi build
Is there any way to have their "outfits" reflect in the strongnhold?
I thought it did it automatically when you confirm it, if the companion's customization is on the character you did it on
yeah it's not working that way I guess. He has the red outfit equipped (left) but the placed one is "naked", even after disabling edit mode.
If you want to be tanky and deal damage and weild with one hand like luke does
Vengeance jugg is the way to go
The guardian side wields with two hands
What's the difference between "Lightsaber Hilt" and "Lightsabers" in Artifice?
Lightsabers is the actual weapon you can use, a hilt is a modification that can increase stats of a moddable lightsaber
one is a weapon the other is a color option w stats built in
sry went strait to crystals w that
gotcha thanks, sorry if it was a dumb question I'm crafting on my trooper to start a Sith and didn't know
no worries, most artifice stuff wont be able to be used on trooper, if you've only just started, i'd maybe look into armstech or armormech as it'd benefit your trooper much more, as those makes guns & armor
I went into Artifice cause I mainly wanted to craft Dyes.
ah, that works as well! you can still sell the stuff you make
dyes & crystals steady sales
hello i need help
Hello, I just unlocked my second class origin companion at a trooper and I cant find a ay to summon Elara to join me in the world while i do missions anyone have a solution?
edit: i figured it out, it isnt through the crew skills interface its via the COmpanions and Contacts page
As a madness sorc, should my companion be set to tank or heal?
I have a couple heals at my disposal, but I also feel like tanking only works 50% of the time.
Healing is usually a decent option. Madness sorc does have leech and somewhat decent survivability if you’re doing a proper madness rotation as well as spacing out static barrier, unnatural pres. etc
Personal preference but I usually default to heals unless something else.
yeah same. I just find I'm getting interrupted a lot during my casts.
What’s interrupting you? Stuns/movement?
But switching to tank only reduces me getting interupped by like 20% so it's not really that worth
Yeah stuns, force chokes, etc from the NPCs
I did the whole storyline as a madness sorc with a tank companion you shouldn't really be facing any issues
If I wanna be a Sith jug that basically is unkillable and has like easy tank rotation, should I just go immortal?
Like an easy, less button pressing build spec would be ideal
it's decent yes but why you wanting to go tank?
Well I just enjoy that type of spec/class cuz it’s bulky lol
It was gonna be a choice between warrior or inquisitor for immortal spec
what type of content you doing?
Mostly story and playing with friend(s) and some dungeons or raids later on at the end
I’m on a fresh new toon basically
don't bother doing tank right now then, it's pointless for story and will just make it all last forever
play jugg but as one of the dps specs (recommend veng) you stay tanky with proper damage also
Ah okay
I thought it would be easier to like roll immortal for easy button rotations?
Or does vengeance offer that too
you don't need rotation for story mode
it does not matter what you do
you can often not do proper rotations till you're close to max level as you don't have all the abilities yet
Well which spec offers less like buttons tho to have to learn or manage?
veng over rage
veng endgame is 5 main buttons and then 2 filler
so 7 at any rotation run
one of if not the easist rotation ever
Ah okay
Maybe I’ll just do veng then. Can I switch specs later on? I’m guessing with a sub?
you can do it whenever you wish as long as you choose the jugg class
sub just makes everything better no cap this game is trash without it
Ohhh okay fair
Can I throw the saber toss thing with veng and immortal both?
I think that was one ability I liked a lot
Cooool
Do they have aoe abilities? I think that was something I wanted to see as wel
but if you want to keep things easy with rotations etc you probs want to stay away from raids
the strongest AoE in the game in vengful slam
Ah okay gotcha
Yeah I heard about that one
Pretty OP
Mainly I wanted a spec that can absorb damage and be a shield kinda
Or like kinda survive long fights
yes all juggs are tanky don't need to be full on tank
When previewing items in cartel market, are items supposed to be clipping? Cuz I noticed some of the good capes on outfits seem to clip right through the character when they run in previews
capes are a monster when it comes to clipping
whether in preview or applied to gameplay/cutscenes
so if i see one that clips in a preview, does that mean itll generally be the same thing when my char is even running around?
cuz i tested the run animation on preview first and saw it clips massively
example from back when i had a jugg go through ziost content
oh yuck lol
had to switch outfits to one that didn't have a cape like that loll
for long back capes yea
yeah for example i was looking at malgus cape, it would go so well on beefy boys that i had, but i noticed it clips
soooo i just lost my excitement lol
this game's like
clip central lol
i feel like cape clipping wasnt as bad in the first couple years of the game but slowls has been getting worse
Is super crit where an ability automatically crits and the crit chance converts into crit multiplier? I haven’t played in a while and I’m trying to remember again
Never once heard someone refer to anything as super crit
is there a kind of traveler's guide with locations of heroic transport marked on the map?
I believe the other name was auto crit as well
Ah yes auto crit yes that means when it glows
You mean proc? I think a while back someone told me that is not a proc since its automatic
Pretty sure their are procs
A proc is like when you have an ability like: using this has a 50% chance to do X. Then if X happens you could say it proc’d
Sometimes crit’ing can proc a diff buff/ability
Yea I know about that proc because i have a vigilance guardian, is there a spreadsheet for all types of procs?
I doubt it anymore if it exists it'll be on theory crafters server certainly not here
is there a list anywhere showing all the daily areas and how to unlock them? Do you have to go through the main story to unlock all the daily areas?
the ctrl+g menu will populate those as you progress story & level yep
they had to call Lana to fix the cm sales page
Daily areas are unlocked through expansions mainly
So you get yavin 4 etc doing revan side story. And to get ziost, ossus, mannan etc you will need to be into onslaught. To have runnuk the new planet you need to have done every bit of story.
And this only unlocks it for that character so to do it on multipule you must do it on each character
Do they have the inquisitor weapons from the obi wan series/jedi survivor villains in game? Like the dual bladed circular hilt one
Brutal. Guess I'm going to be spending a lot of time doing story content.
No idea a google may show you
Indeed good luck
Yeah I checked, doesn’t seem to exist for now
What does it take to be a tank in SWTOR? Do you need to have an encyclopedic knowledge of every flashpoint?
honestly, for things like dungeons and bosses, mainly it's just making sure boss is faced away from party, and let him hit you, gotta know a rotation to make sure you have highest threat on the bosses,
if you decide to do raids, it may be beneficial to look at the mechanics, as tanks may be required to bring bosses to certain areas of the arena, face boss towards groups in some circumstances, etc
Eh not really but good experienced tanks do remember how to beat each boss they have faced.
For flashpoints anyone can do the job of the tank as long as you got someone on the heal pods/ a healer outside of master mode.
But as a full on tank simply face the boss away as ti said. And the other key thing is to know when to taunt. Know when the peak of each classes dps is so you know when you got to taunt to keep aggro
Is there an imperial side class that allows just one pistol to be used, like a smuggler type but without the 2nd weapon?
Powertech pretty sure is imperial but you can just use the smuggler class on imp side
classes don't really exist anymore so you can pick between powertech and scoundrel on a agent or bh if you want one pistol
Oh really? Cool
wait so does it matter which origin story specifically is the one that i need to pick? cuz i see scoundrels but not smugglers on imp
So, origin story is the type of class you'll have, Trooper, Smuggler, Agent, & Bounty Hunter will use Tech classes,
So, you can be a scoundrel, because it's a tech class, even if the origin was bounty hunter or agent
ah okay gotcha
but the same note: smugglers could be snipers or powertechs if you wanted
i did an imperial sniper story before, and it was like james bond type, but i didnt wanna do the exact same stuff again tho, so should i just do bounty hunter then if thats different?
gotcha
the class is more in terms of gameplay/what you want to experience in battle, i.e do you want a sniper rifle, pistol, flamethrower, etc, the agent is a great story
ohh okay
well actually i wanted to roll as a cad bane story, so maybe like bounty hunter is best then?
bounty hunter I like to think of more as, as the name implies, looking to take down a target, like for example there's one where you: ||have to hunt down an imperial admiral, but he's always hiding on a private ship|| ||so you have to find a way to get him to leave the ship so you can get him as a bounty hunter||
it's a minor spoiler earlier in the story, doesnt give major plot points, but a good example of what the origin entails
ah okay
yeah i dont mind that either, just wanted to change it up slightly. im thinking of like a bane story this time cuz i did a spy one last time i think
so maybe ill just roll BH
and then use one hander gun
Ooh alright! 1 handed pistol
your choices are Powertech, which is gonna be close up flamethrowers, grapple hooks etc, or scoundrel, which is gonna be more stealthy, you'll have a shotgun, can heal, etc
i didnt want to punch ppl too much
all classes have aoe
ah
In terms of 1 pistol classes, powertech can tank, heavy armor, etc, scoundrel's medium armor, shotgun, can heal, has stealth
i dont mind stealth but idk if i would wanna use shotguns a lot, i prefer a lot of ranged pistol fire
like gunslinging but without 2 weps
or, if you wanted, dual wielding pistols is the gunslinger, (Long range, pistol aiming, hiding behind cover, medium armor) or Mercenary, which is also range, has jetpack, rockets, an electro net, etc, (heavy armor and has a heal option)
the shotgun is the offhand for scoundrel, it wont ever be on your hip, but some abilities will use it,
operative is the opposite to scoundrel, but uses a rifle, for example it has a "backstab" which is: stealthed behind target, stab their back, do massive damage & stun enemy, but for scoundrel instead of knife, is a shotgun
ohh okay
yeah as long as i can do primarily ranged fire it will be okay for me
i dont mind having offhand but i want an easy pistol class basically
About that...scoundrel's mainly melee, and their abilities will be useful within 10 meters
i really enjoyed poisons + DOTs tho
yes, i know it has a gun, is kinda dumb
Scoundrel has a dot spec, and it's definitely around 10 meters, rather than the burst damage, which is (I think) around 4
ah okay so thats ruffian then i think
so, it won't be as like: 30 meter range like the other ranged classes, but it's still more range than most lightsaber classes
that sounds right, originally i thought dirty fighting, but that may be the gunslinger dot spec
yeah thats cool, as long as i dont have to be in melee range all day
im looking for that "fun" feel of killing mobs
and ppl on youtube were saying to consider ruff for that usually
it has more range than a true melee class, (10m vs 4m), i think 1 or 2 abilities will still be needed to be within 4m, but it's not like ALL abilities
ah okay
as a raider, we still consider scoundrels as a "melee" because when we consider "ranged" we think: can they hit this target at 25m
but, I'd still give it a try! I personally really enjoy it
A little more accurate is it's a hybrid class
Classes with most of it's moves at melee range = melee
Those with say plus 4 ranged attacks alongside melee ones =hybrid
Those with mostly ranged moves= ranged
You'll either get it in the story or dropped off an enemy typically
If you struggling that badly go to the fleet and get mods for a modded varient
Go to the supplies section, left most set of booths
Help pls iam returning to swtor after like 2? 3? Years absent and i forgot how to gear my character (level 66)
Iam doing daily heroic but it didnt give equipment box anymore
It give me box that give me cosmetic stuff
Do veteran flashpoints
Will help you level up your remaining levels and will drop gear constantly till level 80
Allright
the heroic boxes replace equipment ones starting at level 61 :)
So basically after level 61, to get better gear is to do flashpoint? Must be veteran? Story mode (solo) didnt drop any?
well
you can also buy any modifiable item (instead of having stats it will list sth like "Armoring: open, Mod: Open, Enhancement: Open" in the tooltip
2 years absent and i totally forgot how to play the game lol
that means you can fill it with level-appropriate modifications from the vendors in the supplies section of the fleet
Hi
I got into a fight with a friend. I borrowed money from him. And now we must return. He says that you can only send 2kkk by mail, and I always sent 4kkk. Why does he say so?
What’s the biggest sized companion in CM you can get? I saw the nathema bug is huge but is there anyone bigger?
Need some advice on how I should tackle the professions. I don't even know if they're actually useful or important.
I looked up and found a resource telling me which crafting prof to match with which 2 gathering/social ones, and my first character has Artifice with Treasure Hunting and Archaeology.
If I keep following this, which is fine, I'll cap out at 4 characters and then for the remaining crafting professions I'd have to repeat gathering ones
also, not sure how the slicing one would work into stuff. It doesn't seem to be necessary for any crafting profession, but the other ones ARE necessary.
example - you want to run TH and ARchaeology with Artifice - giving up one for Slicing would not be great?
Also from what I can read online, it really looks like this profession business will become a real micromanagement mess with having half a dozen or more characters doing all the professions etc. Can you even actually control all your "squads" and send out missions/crafting/materials from one screen, or are you going to have to constantly log out and in characters?
slicing mats are needed for endgame stuff like augments, earlier in this thread i took screenshots of some examples: #1010775742369509427 message
+there's a very useful grade 11 slicing mission "Off the Radar" which often brings you random grade 11 missions unlocks, and they give you a lot of mats and some legendary embers
i'd recommend learning slicing on another character, don't unlearn necessary skills
after i learned all skills on my old chars i just learn slicing and bio on new chars
unfortunately you have to log out and in =(
The thing with crafting is it exists on every level
.the people who just learn afew skills and some info around it
.the people wanting to learn all the skills for low level personal use
. Using knowledge to help others
. Then more into using characters just for crafting
.up to the people who own multipule legacies with 10s of characters who just craft
Alright, but how should I be grouping professions, then?
I would look at the ones you can level from doing none crafting content
So slicing, arch and scavaging can all be leveled doing tasks in the wild.
Then the others all require you do actually craft to level up
I have my first character, after I make 3 more - say diplomacy/bio/biochem, underworld/scavenging/cybertech, and an investigation/armsmith/scavenging again, I'm gonna have to start doubling and tripling up for all the others
But yeah the micromanagy part is a bummer, if you can't see all your legacy's professions/squads from one screen without having to log out. Painful
as you feel like it's convenient for you, there are no rules except for no more than 1 crafting skill on 1 char
i prefer to match artifice+arch+TH etc. like you =)
you can learn slicing instead of 2nd/3rd scavenging since mats inventory is legacy wide (if you think you don't need more scavenging mats)
Yeah, seems reasonable. once I start having to double up professions, just pick up Slicing instead for the one I feel like I have enough mats for
makes sense
Personally can never get big into crafting but i know for some they aint finished a single main story and crafted for years
the biggest pain is crafting without subscription xD when i started a new legacy i just learned max lvl archaeology to sell mats for quick money and 80 lvl scavenging+slicing to run hammer station, and no way i will grind all skills one more time xD
A big pain for me so far is just QoL stuff
you can't queue up multiple gathers/crafts, and when many lasts few minutes or less, it's annoying
and having to swap characters too once you start running more of them, ouchies
actually you can queue 5 crafts (if you're subscribed), just click 5 times
no gathering queue, unfortunately
Do companions actually differ in quality?
I find my level 30 Andronikos Revel is a worse healer than my level 6 2V-R8
Am I doing something wrong? Is he a really bad support hero and better suited for aggressive combat?
Their is very few that are better than others in terms of potential heals etc
Can depend the type or fighting they are etc a little
Thanks
Could anyone tell me what the stats mean? I have no idea which stats are better for which class. Is there a guide somewhere?
I'm a madness sorc rn, and I have no idea what any of the words on the gear mean or what word means more for me
I know endurance is HP but that's it. Is there one for spell damage?
Madness Sorc 7.2 Mini Guide - Plague Master
Legendary Implants: Unmatched Haste Package & Gathering Storm Package
Tactical: Tempest of Rho
Tertiary Stats;
Accuracy: 110% PVE, 105% PVP.
Alacrity: 7.2% minimum.
Crit: The rest.
The Plague Master opener and rotation is as per the image attached. During the fixed rotation, I personally swap Death Field and Force Leech due to what I'm used to, it makes no difference in DPS which way round you use these during the fixed rotation. If you have high enough alacrity, you do not need to clip the last Force Lightning. I will however add that under Polarity Shift, you can squeeze in an extra Force Lightning at the end of the rotation.
Talents are linked as below, some are dealers choice.
White - BiS
Green - Optional, but you can take if you wish.
https://parsely.io/parser/combat-styles/madness/NGNhNGM5Mjc= (edited)
accuracy means how often your attack actually hit needs to be 110% to always hit
alacrity determines your GCD or global cooldown duration. you need a minium of 7.22% for 1.4 to not get too into it that's important for you
mastery and power determine your damage and how good your healing are
critical determines how hard your critical attacks hit
Cool thanks, I'll take a look at that stuff today
Is it easy to quest with friends in the DLC? I want to do the hutt cartel DLC with a friend, but are we going to have to do everything twice (I know swtor does that sometimes).
typically same class w minimal repeats, diff classes are diff arcs of course
also see prefs/social & check the "allow access class/phase box
after the main class story, stuff starts to be fairly linear on what is shown and its differences; so yall can play together on the same faction and just need to run through it once on expacs like RotHC, SoR; the epilogue story of Ilum is another that falls under that
KotFE+ is i think where it'd need to be done twice if playing together? not sure i just know how it is for the ones before that
Okay cool thanks for that. I didn't know there was different stories depending on the faction
that's pretty cool.
yea they have similarities but otherwise ilum and RotHC are differently set up based on faction
and then SoR is where it starts to narrow into the same story for all classes regardless of faction
Which dark side origin story is more commonly picked, inquisitor or warrior?
And between assassin and jug which is more common? Juggernaut?
What to use for endgame gunslinger sharpshooter? How do i get it?
So I subbed, and completed act 3, and I don't have the mission for my second combat style. Is there any other requirements for it other than completing act 3 and starting that mission? Do I need to finish the Chapter 3 Epilogue? Do I need to be level 50?
I believe warrior story is the most common and popular but it's close
And most likely jugg over assassin
What do you mean? You pick the class for a character and make them
Or you pick it as your secondary class
Though sharpshooter is not as good as the other spec for gunslinger i believe
Might be worth writing a ticket ingame and submitting it to see if they just having issues
As i'm aware you should have the mission now unless you need to be level 80 for it
late response, I personally preferred the Inquisitor over warrior, as I feel like Inquisitor is a more classic case of being a random sith, and trying to get stronger & following sith code, while warrior feels more like a protagonist story, i.e think main character of game,
the inquisitor storyline doesnt make you feel as special as like a chosen one story, that i got the vibe a lot in warrior.
(inquisitor still has a few main character moments, but not as many i feel as warrior)
Oh okay ty guys
I went with inquis assassin since I felt it was more unique or underplayed atm. I saw like 500 jugs running around in some places
leave us juggs alone lol
what should i know to join Nathema fast leveling? i did the FP only once with my friend, and is was kinda disaster >_<
if you joining a group who are doing it they'll explain it
Doing the illum storyline, is it not possible to do the flashpoint "Battle of Illum" with a group?
It won't let me queue it.
yes it can be done with a group, it may not have noticed you have done the full planet story. once you finished it/ the correct level then you can do it
It physically will not let me click this last FP button
Are you sure you can do it in groups during the questline?
I figured it out. I needed to abandon the yellow quest in order to queue.
then it means you have not finished the story required for it to show up or it means you're not high enough level
Is XP scaled for story missions? Like if I went back to Nar Shadda as a level 60, is it going to scale up the XP reward per mission?
Glasses why do you have two different accounts??
I think I have mentioned this two 2 admins/ 4 other people at this point, respectfully I'm not going to keep doing so
sorry just threw me off and confused me lol
What is the best way to farm tech fragments? What relic do i use for dmg at lvl 80?
Story mode ops
devastating vengeance and focused retribution are the default dps relics
gsf on multiple chars as well
If you buy a hairstyle on a char individually in game at the appearance modifier, does it unlock permanently for the toon or do I have to repurchase it again if I buy another one and go back to it?
Wait, is the diplomacy profession seriously the only repeatable way to grind alignment?
But I can't just make every character a diplomat, I want to run reasonable profession combos...
Cause I'm going all in light side on my Inquisitor because I like how it feels in the story, and I want the title at the end. But depending on what the cosmetic rewards for the ranks are (can't find anywhere to look through them), I might want to go back to max dark after I'm done
I would turn on exploration missions, they have ls/ds alignment choices, as well as flashpoints, so you could use flashpoints to level alignment and character xp
i bought yellow eyes for one character at the appearance modification station, it unlocked yellow eyes for all characters account-wide (in the appearance modification station and character creation screen), i'm sure it unlocks hairstyles the same way
Is Imperius or Occulus the rarer title?
I'm really unsure which way to go with my Inquisitor. I'm about halfway through light-side so far, since on most of the choices I felt like light side ones made sense for him.
I'm barely still in chapter 1, it seems, going after the 4th relic.
I heard the Inquisitor gets an actual light-side companion, and they can philosophise a lot about the force
Not sure if I'll be able to bring back alignment to neutral, and keep it there, though
And doing group flashpoints through the party finder will let you get alignment points every time you repeat them? nice
What are the actual alignment rewards, though? Where can you go see them?
Also, how do I get different color crystals, besides the cash shop?
Artifice. You can craft crystals.
Alternatively you can find cash shop crystals on the gtn
Also the pvp vendor has some as well.
Is there any way to get a sound or visual notification for procs? Or is the shiny border on the hotbar the only way?
I can share items, banks profession resources and money on ALL my characters, regardless of faction, right?
for items, as long as they're not labeled as "Bound" yes they can be shared,
banks, yes legacy cargo hold/bank is for the entire legacy (therefore extending to the credits you put into it)
profession resources, yes - if you open your inventory, the diamond icon will be where you hold resources from all crew skills applicable
Thats the only way unless you do something external to it i suppose
Aww ok thanks
Why?
It's pretty obvious visually speaking and often you can learn when it'll happen/ what triggers it
Hey, can jetpacks used in dungeons? I saw people with some rocket shoes to go fast
Rocket boots are something unlocked in your legacy
Different to jetpack mounts
But generally the rocket boots can be used in far more places than mounts can be
oh okay thanks
I like to play with a super minimal hotbar layout, barely visible at the very bottom and just learn my rotation by heart, but if there is nothing else to show procs I'll just have to play with "normal" hotbars I guess, nothing gamebreaking
Umm I can't get a cutscene to start, the character just stands and doesn't speak
I've tried that and still hasn't changed, it's a main quest aswell
when i had to deal with that, normally lowering graphics by a level (i.e high -> medium, so on so forth) worked
i remember that happening sometimes in agent story whenever using the holoterminal; would hafta temp go from low to very low just to get through it, then revert back
How do you add a second crystal color to a weapon? I see there’s one slot with a color on it but the bar shows 50/50 so is it possible to have another crystal in?
I got it to work, just stood in a different place 😂
naw that's just showcasing the two colors - if applicable - a singular color crystal would have
so like a orange-black color crystal will have those slots be one orange, one black
so on so forth
oh ,,hu, lol
Is there any way to put Scavenged Scrap into my currency inventory? A bit confused why it takes up inventory space - or is it obsolete by now and I can just vendor it?
Ty
Can I somehow get in there? Last bit I'm missing for balmorra exploration Ok figured it out, had to accept a heroic quest on the outpost nearby, then it let me in
Where can I get some armor sets to make outfits, other than the cash shop? I'm already level 43, I'm a good halfway through my base game story ( think, I'm past Thanaton game ending me) and the questing and random flashpoint armors I've gotten are all practically indentical? the same grayish/black ugly robes
Crafting (Synthweaving for force classes, Armormech for tech classes)
Adaptive gear vendor on the fleet (leftmost booth of the supply section)
Reputation Vendors on planets, in event areas or in the cartel bazaar
Alliance Supply Crates (Heroic missions at level 61+)
Buying from other players via the Galactic Trade Network
Alright, I'll look into those vendors and try to get more professions going on alts, it's just REALLY slowwww
Also, is there any way to toggle the hoods on some chest pieces that have them?
Since they seem unaffected by hiding headgear, but the hood often is a bit mcuh
sadly no
there are some pieces with two almost identical versions, one with hood up and one down
but that's rare
the more common way is using unobstrusive headpieces like certain circlets that force the hood down
Ohh, I see
After doing a planet's story and personal story quest and you unlock the "extra" planetary questline - is that just the same as the daily/weekly missions or why is it on a timer?
is there a way to fix the "hiding holster" bug?
If I get a level 70 boosted character and play kotfe can I effect the story or does it come auto completed towards that sides people?
hello guys, we just started to play with my friends, do we need a sage for story content? for group healing? or we can go all guardians?
Story content is extremely easy, I wouldn't think you'd ever need a healer
it specifically mentions how you get skipped to onslaught content; anything else beforehand has auto-picked choices
replaying kotfe/et wouldn't change the original choices the game made for you on that character
@flint hull@verbal palmthx guys 🤗
also, should we do story areas always solo or can we do those in group also?
as in, we've just tried to do one and my friend cant talk to the npc and we cant advance
should we do story areas always solo? 😦
Sorry no idea how that works in a group (or doesn't) 🤔
Is it worth to farm master flashpoint for gear and materials?
not really Incognito.. unless you have a good group to manage the side bosses for the extra drops.. it is/can be worth the achievements if hunting them
Hi Im just wondering for the sage and the shadow's burst specs ( tk and infil ) which would be the better out of the two cause i see lots of tk sage's and i thought the dps was pretty bad or actually would serenity severly out dps both of them?
def a player & rotation type thing for who makes most damage.. direct or over time
ohh okay thank u so i guess their dps is sort of similar?
Burst specs all do worse dps than their over time equals it's not recommended you play them if you're worried about damage
If you prefer a certain playstyle then you're better off expecting low dps
No it's a terrible way to get gear
You're far better off farming vet fps for the rss then using them to upgrade some blue gear and get modded gear
Depends but overall less glitchy alone
use ctrl+g menu & you can group the solo content there & side bosses easily
Does not always function as intended and is known it not work on certain dialog etc
and on the shadow.. yeah I prefer serenity or tk usually
oh damn okay ty then i'll probably give Dots a try and it's serenity and hatred for shadow and sin right?
the bottom choice on the sub class yeah
thank you 😄
Hatred is an easy enough spec to learn, dots are also relatively easy to come to understand once you pratice
But yes the game is set up in a way where in 90% of situations dots rule and burst are dog shit no class has a burst spec that is better than the dot.
The only time burst is more useful is single target boss fights and even then a decent enough player on dots will keep up in damagw
haha okay thank you yeah i'll give them a try soon i do remember using Vigilance and vengeance as my first ever spec in this game ( at first for some reason i thought it was a burst ) so i shouldn't have too much trouble with that and i suppose lethality would also be better than concealment for the operative
Yep both vengeance and lethality are top tier dps specs
direct damage is alot of "stick & move" play
okay ty, it's just for some reason i had a really hard time choosing the dps spec that i wanted to play as but yeah now im gonna go for those dot specs
except im probably gonna wait till i can get a sub to the game so that i can get to level 80 and the expansions and stuff like that, also im pretty sure two time trouble is the best tactical for seren/hatred, right?
usually as f2p create & level all the chars allowed.. then sub & re-level & gear
ah.. good deal then.. would maybe wait for spring/summer content drop if manaan & ruhnuk are not currently avail..
336 zeek gear is sufficient for most content
oh okay yeah i've heard ruhnuk is coming sometime do you know when that would be?
Their are guides out their to check out taticals etc or join the theory crafters server for better info
Well it's effectively the highest gear 95% of the community can get
It is already out
Has been for months
I really like the second wind implants too
Eh it's overrated and overall provides little actual use over it's counterpart
Typically overall a worse pick
oh. i didn't know it was out already and oh okay thanks
auto loads after all the ossus story arcs
sometimes this spring/summer we should get another drop w the hunt for Heta & whatever skullduggery Malgus gets up to
Haha, and what's the hunt for Heta is it like another expansion? or something like that
Shae & Heta are having a mando dispute
Their wont really be expansions like the whole eternal empire stuff again
Just additions to the current story with like 30 minutes or 2 hours of story gameplay and some new cosmetics
Then probs fuck with some classes/ specs again pissing off the endgame community
right.. teasers.. anything large would be a couple yrs away
Nothing large will be coming, games not got the money for it
ohh okay thats good, cause that's what im always worried about is like a month or two after a sub ends they'll release another one
It's typically like every 6 or so months you'll have to resub
Or just stay subbed overall better if you intend to play often
meantime save anything non-class restricted for legacy shells to re-mod later
ah okay yeah i'll see about staying subbed it'll probably be good to and yeah i suppose so
how do you handle endgame gearing for alts? trasferring one set thru the legacy bank is boring and annoying, but getting augments for alts is pricey
Really depends how often you play them
Typically i use a route character who had 336 mods unlocked on. Then simply by the mods and enhancements i'll need from it and transfer over
Then that's most of the armor. Left over parts i gather from purple gear i keep from my veteran operations. Alternatively you can simply buy the purple bits and upgrade them
For augments their is no real good way around it unless you got a stack of spares like i do. Best bet is either make purple ones yourself or buy a full set
swapping out ear & relics can help speed those drops
True but it aint worth it, either just pick them up as you play and store them. Or just buy the one you want
Cause either you not making a new set rn and so just store for when you are
Or you need a specifc peice right away and is honestly faster to buy the 324 and upgrade it using the ops rss
Takes no time to go from 0-1200 if you actually play
Does DW or DoubleBladed lightsabers do more damage than 1-handed?
In other MMOs that's generally how it works. I just assumed swtor was the same due to the wording on the abilities
1H is generally meant for tanks/mages who by design are meant to lack melee damage. 2h or dual wield deal higher damage but are less useful in other regards
1 lightsaber is for a sorcerer. Which is using force powers. Barely swinging it. They heal or ranged damage.
Or juggernauts which can tank. Or just really heavy hits and most of their damage just comes from raw powerful swings.
that's just terrible design in my opinion then
For this game the damage is spread, it's based on the moves ability not how often the saber hits etc, the only thing that applies to it projectiles from weapons and even then it's small and negligible
If anything it's the other way around, given jugg out dps pretty much all saber classes
SWTOR is the only MMO I've played with this system.
IMO having all the melee weapons do the same damage is very harmful to weapon diversity and logically assumed that was not the case.
The fact that 1h, 2h, Vibroswords, staffs, double edged, etc. all are basically cosmetic options and hold no real change is a very odd mechanic.
They are mainly cosmetic as your class abilities are animated with the weapons in mind
I would disagree. With the jugg point. I usually outperform juggernauts as a marauder
That's fair enough. It was just jarring to learn that is all
It makes perfect sense, instead of being tied to a specific type of weapon it's tied to gear. so then you can have all the different items you want for cosmetics and it does not matter what your armor or weapons are
As for two blades doing more damage. the glaring problem would be literally no one would play anything that does that make less damage no matter if it can tank a little or heal a little. how much the classes can tank or heal if it's doing so much worse dps
then you been playing with some bad juggs my man, I have never been outdone by a marauder pulling 30k not since 7.2 came out
I think it’s a good choice. Due to it being Star Wars people wanting sabers or guns
in all but healing metrics jugg should outperform
Ah. I see I haven’t done much of anything in 7.2 but I usually do anni mara
Been doing that since late 5.x
anni mara is good but wont outdo a good veng jugg
even when I looked at the stats on parsly of the average DPS across all specs for all levels of players typically jugg pulls ahead in both average and best dps recorded
anni mara's healing is the benifit over say an extra 2k in dps
or being able to dwt
Fair enough. I get in trouble during ev 4th encounter when I’m not in my own party lol
ev records all go to operatives and assassins
Fair. I haven’t seriously parsed since like early 7.0
Thanks, sorry for the obvious question just returning and didn't realized what it did
nah no need to apologize :) i'd be willing to answer even if "obvious"
glad i can help o7
What classes/specs are similar to maddness sorc? I know some people really dislike it but it was by far my favourite. I like the easyness of DOT+AOE spamming 🙂
Is there anything else like that (not looking for the republic mirror, just something similar in playstyle)? Ranged preferably but I don't mind melee
hatred assassin and madness sorc go hand in hand on being specs with those visuals/playstyle
other than ofc the amount of lightsaber abilities each have at their disposal lol
Hello There,
I have an issue with combat style,
Well, it's more about the spells placing (idk if there is a name for it, but, when you place a spell in your quick bars)
I place my spells when playing juggernaut, I switch combat style to assassin, and when I switch back to jugg, my quick bars are an absolute mess,
Any way to "save" the way spells are placed in the quick bars or I'll have to place them back every time I switch combat style ?
Does anyone know what's gonna come in this new update, 7.2.1?
Hey guys; on ord Mantell for the "ord mantel liberator" achievement I need to find and kill the Separatist base captain; I searched on google and goes on the location google say; he isnt there; so somebody know anything about this mob?
Maddness is rather good atm so i'd stick with it
You need to make loadouts (click c and their should be a tab for it)
Making these seperate loadouts will stop this issue happening
Currently known things believed to be added ahead of the offical patch notes:
.mek-sha stronghold
.galatic season 4
. pvp season 2
. alderan pvp medal changes
. possible new cartel items (mando armors)
. economy changes
Someone else may have already killed him and so was not their for you
Should check on several different instances/ different times to be 100% sure
Did it; found it; thanks !
No worries, enjoy
how does this disguise work? is it only a visual effect or a real stealth?
thanks
screen stretched. how to fix it?
Work well, thanks !
Wonderful news
Relog/ full restart
does not help
The "combat" discipline for the Jedi Sentinel says it's ranged, but all the abilities so far are clearly melee focused.
Is it later it becomes more ranged?
Don't think it's supposed to say that
Is it normal for tattooine to be loading super slow? I don’t have this issue with many other planets
@serene timber depends on the flashpoint.
Check and see if you're doing vet fps because those are ment to be done in groups
Ok
if you play [STORY] difficulty, the game gives you a very strong combat support droid (if it's not summoned you can summon it by clicking a small icon next to a flashpoint's name in the missions list on the top right part of the screen)
for story difficulty gear doesn't really matter, you can use gear obtained from missions rewards or adaptive gear with modifications according to your lvlv (fleet supplies section)
for [VETERAN] difficulty most flashpoints are soloable, but you might want to have a 50 lvl influence companion, and some flashpoints have some tricks (for example, you need a melee companion at the final boss of the Hammer station)
I wonder why the station store is too expensive for bad quality I mean I can get powerful armor in side missions or I can buy a good armor from a different planet
There’s no way to preview a single piece of clothing with a dye while having all the other parts of your outfit stay the same, right?
yup unfortunally not
Any cool places to take photos in game that resemble a gothic castle or vampire typed area?
Or at least on sith side maybe an old age castle type of thing or cathedral of any kind that’s futuristic idk since it’s Star Wars after all
What are the best disciplines for the marauder for solo content, flashpoint, operations?
fury for easy rotation and solid damage, anni if you want to be complicated and cool
After finishing with my class story and Im lvl54 whats next ? Shadow of Revan?
Which crew skills are best for making credits? What do end game players need, so on?
there's a chart in #general-tips (1st message), between the class story and SoR there are Ilum and Makeb (Rise of the Hutt Cartel), but they're skippable so you can start SoR if you want right after the class story
if you want to sell mats, then archaeology, bioanalysis and scavenging are good choices
if you want to craft augs for endgame, i'd start with most demanded crit augs (syntweaving+archaeology+underworld trading+slicing (+cybertech if gold augs))
apart from augments, relatively popular goods are (imo) mk-11 kits, stims+adrenals, and maybe grenades for pvp
prefabs, war supplies and dark projects can make money, too, but imo it's too much a hassle to craft them
Does anyone buy the stuff that Cybertech makes? I heard it makes mounts and stuff.
So last month I played the fighter pvp as I remember it was my first time to fly a starfighter, and to be honest I was fly like an idiot,(my team kicked me because I was bad), so i wonder is there is training to how fly a starfighter ?
i read people use grenades (made by cybertech) in pvp
i'm not sure if it could be a regular source of income 'cause i tried it only for a short time, and one day they were selling well but another day there were rivals selling cheaper =)
I am in need of help, i ahve picked an ending i do not want for my class story, is there anyway to revert this??
If you want to make a different story choice you have to Esc key out before the convo is finished. Otherwise? No, other than making a new character
The only way is to play starfighter more and practice
Their is very little your choices change tbh so it may have happend in a similar way even if you pick a different action
It depends. The agent story has multiple endings
Hiya, how possible would it be to assemble/find a guild that progresses through content as fairly new players?
I'd love to do all the raids and Dungeons in a somewhat organic way without just being told to "look up a guide and join a PUG/Guild then". I know it's a thing in FFXIV but I'd love to be able to play SWTOR "blind" so to speak with likeminded people. Are there folks out there interested in that, or is the community very much in the "PVE content is done outside of new stuff, just look up a guide please dude" mentality? And is there an incentive to do older raids/do they scale you down?
You can always check out #1008630384549961758 and #1008633319858122752.
You'll struggle to get a full group of people wanting to do it blind
The two methods in swtor are. Being taken on a teaching run by a guild leader/ ops experienced people where they show you/ teach you how to do ops. Or you expected to know everything in speed runs
As for older raids. They do not scale in difficulty very well. But they're all still played
I see, thanks. What do you mean by saying that they don't scale very well, are they too easy/too hard/awkward in some way? Curious about that~
If push comes to shove I reckon I can assemble my own guild with new players, maybe I'll find enough folks for this? 👀
The earlier released operations are noticeable more easy than the later ones
As for starting your own guild with new players. Most people want to be shown how to play and not really play blind and with the size of the community to really begin a decent guild you'll struggle at the moment. Also costs billions of credits
Hm, guess you're right about the population being not infinitely huge as such that's a niche within a niche huh... I really enjoy playing content for the first time, and just being the "one guy" that gets dragged through an otherwise perfectly played fight doesn't sound that interesting I reckon. How Fail-safe are learning groups/do people progress through the hardest Operations still, or is it just reclears over and over for most guilds?
...Also why does making a guild cost billions of credits btw? 👀
If you after blind going into a operation you're more after progression content. So veteran mode operations or nightmare. Not the story mode stuff that is their to teach you to play the game as it were
It costs billions to unlock your flagship which you'll need for the guild perks etc that'll attract people to the guild. Without it you'll never get off the floor in the current system
Ah, I see, that makes sense. I'm fine with the Story Modes being more on the easy side, as long as there's progression to be had I'll enjoy myself! Thanks for the replies, have a nice day - gonna keep looking at my download now~
Yes progression content is there you just need to prove yourself typically for a group to take you on etc
No worries happy to help, if you need a operation guild in darth malgus hit me up 👍
I might, just gotta level first and finish the story heh
and I also don'T remember what server my characters were on, it was some EU server that's for sure
Can join us at any level. Being in a guild will help you level faster during story content
It's most likely darth malgus unless you're german or french

if the my server going down in 10mins will I lose my flashpoint progress ?
Yes
wow rip
I just got 2 gear sets from the mail (new player) and its taking up a lot of inventory space. can I remove these items and will I get to transmog them later?
Usually I just recommend to not open them. Other than wearing them and unlocking them in collections, no real way to reclaim them. But if it’s the star fighter armor sets they don’t really look good to begin with. You’ll probably find better looking stuff.
The deluxe pack on ea website isn't available anymore ?
nope
Thanks I had hoped it was just me 😦
for boxed sets of gear.. if they open in a pop-up, you can select single items to retrieve and leave the rest in box
Does anyone know why SWTOR performance is worse after the 64 bit update?
In areas where I used to get 100fps I now get about 40
Do we have a fix for the 'empty server list' issue?
Hello everyone! SWTOR is now running with the 64-bit client! This was a colossal effort from the team on all fronts, and I cannot wait for you all to see all of the updates that will be coming to the game over time. The move to 64-bit also means that some players may have to update settings on th...
What worked for me was unchecking compatibility mode

How many flashpoints are there to do in SoR? I swear to god I'm on like 6th one and I'm going to lose it.
shadow of revan, has: 4 in the prelude, then there's like 2 in the actual expansion
This is way way too many please tell me this never happens again. I will not get the DLC if that's the case.
They're not particularly long imo
Is it safe to sub via steam? I keep reading horror stories
after SoR, I can't remember any flashpoints for KOTFE/KOTET, then you get a bunch for forged alliances, but those are meant for story
technically yes, if everything is linked properly, it may be delayed, if you really dont get it, you can submit a support ticket via EA forums and you'll get what you paid for, but there's always the chance. I highly recommend going via swtor website
I'll do it via the website in that case.
Oh, well I can't even do it. They have delays in processing orders apparently
this game's just really dumb when it comes to subscriptions
nvm it worked regardless after I checked the sub page on my account
Keep it up bioware lol
I'm gonna work on a bounty hunter and either a trooper or smuggler, should be fun with two classes available now
Bounty hunter is probably in my top 3 stories. I hope you have fun!
Looks like I will. Just saw I get CC for being a sub so I can save up for some good bounty hunter kit
alternitavely, can get a pretty decent armor set or two off of the adaptive gear vendor on the fleet in the supplies section, super cheap, stereotypical class gear/looks, but, sometimes that's what people want, their bounty hunter to be in stereotypical bounty hunter gear, there's nothing wrong with that, hell, I have gear that makes me look 1 to 1 like a dread master, or an acolyte, it's just fun
How often can I swap my combat style from the rep version to the imp version/vice versa btw?
I'll check those out, just want a nice helmet and some metal armour and I'll be sorted.
Only once. If you’re given the option to swap and you do/don’t take it. Only opportunity you can.
How do you fix the map icons not showing on the map?
"Map Gutter Max Icon Count" is at 100%, changing it does nothing
Turning the map filters on/off does nothing.
Logging does nothing
Why can some people ride mounts at level 7 and I can't at level 6? Do I have to go learn riding skill somewhere still? Haven't played in a while but got a Kakkran Daggerstar speeder that I can't use yet :)
iirc you can learn the speeder piloting skill at 10 lvl if you're subscribed, or at 20 lvl if you're f2p/preferred (at class skill trainer, it's the only skill they teach now)
but you can also unlock this skill from your legacy (press Y, then character perks) if you have enough credits and legacy lvl
I see! Thanks
Is it just me or did the quality of graphics improve for game, although the coloring of the dyed outfits now look shiny instead of dark black when I use black/black dye?
I tried using other color combos too and they shine a lot as if it’s not dark anymore but like a gunmetal palette
What else does a level boost token do? I know it makes a character level 70 but what else? does it skip the storyline?
depends on which level boost you use
There's a "Master's Datacron" which sets a pre-existing (already made) character to 70 and gives them gear. This does not skip any story, or side quests, or unlocks anything. There's also a "create a level 70 character" which, does skip the story, auto complete stuff, etc. It just depends on if you're using a create a max-level or jumping a pre-existing
Is it worth trying to actually farm credits or should I just buy the most valuable thing on the cartel market and sell it for a bajillion credits?
Selling big end items takes a long time and a lot of effort
"Farming credits" is more consistant for credits than one big installment that you'll lose in a week
mine does that sometimes too
Honestly, I just don't notice these anymore, been doing stuff like this for years
Which side is generally more popular, republic or imperial? Or is it more 50-50?
Imperial like 80-20
Is there a way to quickly unbound mods from Hyde and zeek?
Equip the mods and they should bind to legacy
Hello!
Is there a way to stop romance with Lana without romancing another companion?
Like if I stop selecting flirts or don't select a marriage proposal?
u can also mail or legacy cargo the mods from Zeek or drop into legacy shells & transfer
There's a timer on the mods when you first buy them so you have to put them in equipment/take them back out before you can put them in the legacy bank
i've been mailing instantly for a fee..
I think it said like 2 hours when I bought mine
they were bound to my character that bought them
right, til timer expires or they get mailed or dropped into legacy shells
But putting them in equipment and then removing them immediately gets rid of the timer is what I mean
i hope the devs didn't change any of that
correct
pull fees are not too bad that way
Heya, regarding theg galactic Season, I already rightclicked the item giving me the quest "Cold Moon Tidings", but I'd like to unlock amity right now
can I cancel the quest, then unlock Amity, and do the quest later for the story anyway on Alderaan? Will it show up somewhere there? Cuz the item for getting the quest is consumed.
yea you can abandon it and use the "gimme now" item
the game will mail you the quest item automatically for whenever yer ready to use it
source: me i did that yesterday
🤝 np homie
should i get 75 lvl gear for my alts or is it okay to go from 70 to 80 lvl with 70 lvl mods? what's the normal way to get the gear, if it's needed, SoV vendor? all these "unidentified" parts look pretty confusing. does they sell armor parts with mods included or do i need to buy mods separately (then i don't need to waste tech frags on armor)? will they certainly sell me DPS mods for my discipline, 'cause for some reason i often get tank gear from flashpoints? and what armor piece is hidden behind "unidentified equipment"?
Which class/combat style is most fun/least frustrating/most effective in PvP?
The first two are subjective
The last one a little less so
It more depends on what you're good at. What you can do. Number one shit spec will beat up 50% of others atleast.
is there any website where I could see current price of items more than 1b?
No
I've gotten myself 3 gathering crew skills. To make money with em I should just post the mats on the GTN right?
There's no non-crewskill-crafting I can do beforehand or trade-ins with some NPCs or sth?
right on the gtn, yes
just be aware when you list the mats on the gtn that the price is per the entire stack and not per one item
why is my quickbar slot displaying 4 of the same skills when i tried shifting skills around
ability duplication glitch, maybe dragged too quickly
I'd recommend unlocking the quick bar, dragging them off, clicking on P to open abilities
and re-dragging them to the bar
thank you so much! it worked
No problem! let us know if you need more assistance, the game devs are a skeleton crew, so a bunch of small glitches
Surely! its actually my first time playing but the community has been really helpful so far
Well, all i can recommend is take your time and have fun! I see you're doing the Inquisitor backstory. Which is my personal favorite
Yep been loving it so far
Is this your first MMO?
nope but ive never actually stuck to one for long before
and since im a huge SW fan i think this may be a first
well i hope you stick to this one, it's deceptively large, i remember exploring thinking: it isnt that big, and then i ate my words, and that was back in 2012, we've had 10+ years of expansions lol
feel free to reach out to me directly if you need assistance/tips for more personal stuff, or can ask here
for sure
what are the best companions per role i heard altuur for healing because they buff or debuff idr, or zoom
then for tanking it was nico bc ranged was more efficient or something
shae seems to be accepted as best for dps
then i also heard getting companions similar style to ur class so if ranged then match or melee the same thing
This is not a question seems you know your stuff already
just wondering Im a f2p player and I got a few mission discovery stuff on me.Wonder what I can do with them?
if they're purple, you can't use them without artifact equipment authorization (it's a quite expensive cartel market unlock), so you can either sell them on GTN or put in your legacy bay if you're planning to subscribe
it is
Do I get more XP if I queue for all flashpoints? Am I better off queuing for just some or do I go for all?
they count for weekly mission if not filtered, but i guess inside a flashpoint it doesn't matter for exp amount if it was filtered or not
is it worth only queuing for hammer station? also ive noticed that if i filter it i dont get a popup at the end
also im level 63 so if theres a way to level up faster lmk :)
you can do it, if you aren't bored of the spammer station =) from my experience it pops up quickly on DM and SF
the fastest way is nathema leveling unless it wasn't nerfed (i'm not sure, haven't done it lately), but you need to find a group at the fleet instead of the groupfinder because the group must reset the final boss instead of killing it
okay gotcha thanks alot!
I'm stuck with a mission. I am at the location where I need to do something, but I cannot click anything here, neither can I use an item. I don't know what the mission is called in English, but I'm a level 46 Sith Marodeur, currently on Belsavis and it's not a class mission. I need to "Find engage troop 2" (Could be this in English)
There is a body on the floor that has the mission tag on it, but I can not click the body
That might be a npc you need to fight and it could be dead. Wait a sec for it to respawn. If not maybe CTRL + U twice to refresh your UI
I restarted the game and eat dinner in the meantime, it didn't respawn
I don't think I need to fight him
I also cannot reset the mission as this is the first part of the mission
What's the name of the mission in your language?
"Der Schreckensmeister" in German
Btw can I change the language of the game without having to change to a server of that language?
i don't recall such mission in SW or SI class story, could it be purple planetary arc about Dread Masters?
Sounds like Belsavis The Dread Masters questline.
The mission symbol is purple if you mean that.... Sorry I'm playing the game for the first time since like 4 years 😅
First part, finding Operations Group 2.
Yep sounds like it
I thought you needed to click on one of the bodies.
None of them are glowing blue?
There is one body and it is not glowing
Even after resetting the mission, restarting the game, refreshing the UI etc
I'm not gonna do the mission then if the game doesn't let me I guess 😅
Does one of the computer stations have a blue glowy bit?
"mobile comm station" or the like?
Nop
There is a terminal that looks like it could be glowing but I guess it's just its colour. But it's not clickable
Wait hang on
There is another mission in my mission log that seems to build upon this mission I'm stuck on. "You have found the Operations Group 2 but there were no survivors...."
sometimes there are datapads on bodies that are too small to be rendered and highlighed from a distance if your camera is too far, maybe a closer look at the body could help?
Tracking the Dread Masters?
That's what seems to have happened here. But why is this old mission still on then o.O
Not sure, try progressing the next one and see what happens.
Jep could be that one in English
Jep gonna try that
Okay I finished that mission, the other one is still there.... Seems to be a bug of some sort, I canceled it now since it is unsolvable
Very strange.
I have a character on Level 70 from when that was the highest level.... I assume I cannot level up to 80 without being a sub?
depends on when your last sub was
you always have the maximum level cap of the exact date your last sub ended
so if you were subbed at any point after the latest expansion released then your cap is 80
before that but after the previous? 75
not since the cap was 70? then 70 it is
I don't remember, probably life 5 years ago, or 6
Alright, thanks for the answer
yea ok, 70 then
you'd need to resub once
and after that sub expires the cap will stay at 80
alright thx
For the Opal Vultpilla mount with the Shae Vizla server, does the flashpoint you do have to be a group flashpoint? Or can it just be solo?
How do people tend to find the Consular story/personality/VA? I'm making a Guardian but I think I'm going to make them a Consular
Many dislike the consular story but I loved it. The female VA is great when she's allowed to let loose. Your mileage may vary
i liked the story; for male va i'm still meh about it, fem VA tho is 👌
I stan Athena Karkanis. Queen

Hi all,
So I wanna try out the new oceanic test server and wanna copy a character across.
Do I need to download a separate PTS version of the game from the launcher?
How do I copy a character across?
Their is no seperate download it'll appear on your tab of servers and can choose to load into it
Seems to have been less glitchy if you transfer instead of starting fresh from current comments i heard
How do you copy a character? Or do you need to transfer it
No, first things first go log into to your account and go to " my account" then click on PTS chacrter copy, then open your launcher and at the bottom see the tool thing click on that and click on " Enable public test server" then login in then at the bottom click on this, you can swtich from the game itself to the public test server
it'll take a while to copy chacter over tho like an hour.
Thank you!
your welcome!
What styles are popular or fun for damage bountyhunters?
fun is completely up to your personal preference
but I find the best mixture of easy gameplay and "cool" animations for Bounty Hunter classes to be Arsenal Mercenary, personally
lots and lots of missiles
and a straightforward rotation
I will check it out thx 🙂
if you want good damage do not play arsenal worst dps spec in the whole game
why do some mounts not appear in the collections tab even though they are technically "collectable"?
what mounts are you referring to?
all mounts you can earn through regular gameplay are not in collections
collections have all cartel market, subscriber reward and event mounts
that is exactly what i was referring to, that makes sense. i have collected mounts for years and ive always wondered. thanks man
np
I wish all were in collections
especially the Aratechs you get for the world boss quests...
so much work to do on every char
those were the ones i was looking at lmaooo, and yea me too i feel like it hurts completionism not seeing the 50-100 mounts i have that arent in there
yea also stuff like the tauntaun from hoth
or the Uprising drops
or the walkers...
but eh
at least my main has all mounts
im at 300/437 for collections mounts but man i cant even imagine how many i have outside of that
I'm at..... however many mounts exist minus two
literally the only ones I am missing are the Wings of the Architect and Wings of the Dragon
never got lucky enough to win the WotA rolls
and I stopped playing NiM raids by the time Gods dropped
any tips on how to get the limited time items i missed? like the christmas mounts? i never see ANYONE selling them even off market
well any subscriber reward ones will be available from the galactic season vendor
once I begin running clears for it, always welcome to come
and the other events come back at least once a year
I need an excuse to re-gear myself to max & run r4 and try for that mount
oh they actually come back?
you do know that mount is a 1% drop right?
nightlife in late july / august
i had no idea you were able to get old ones from the new events so i havent even bothered looking, thats news to me
feel like a complete noob after that LOL
good to know, i havent stepped foot/seen r4 since I abandonded the game to play ffxiv, lol
like i said, i need an excuse to gear back up to max gear level
excuse can be to come raid with me and try and out dps me lol
no point, lol my gear's worse than yours
well I assume they will be guaranteed when Master Mode releases
the low droprate is prob just becuase they want it to not be too widely available outside MM
probably not
but keep it at super low droprate
just saying that I think it's the reason for the low rate
I believe they said their wont be an mm version if it. said they can not afford to make it
same reason so many other nims have been removed
Can I have the 2019 cantina flair on multiple characters?
Yes
so how does that work? is it in every characters mail? and does it go away?
it is in every one of your toons mail even new ones that you make, just do this here and good to go.
Does the message ever expire?
Probably easy to answer, but how does transmog work in this game? I have a cartel shop armor set but its way lower than my current armor. Is there a way to just have it as "costume" so to speak?
It's been years since I played and UI is different so I am lost lol
nope, if it does, everyone will know about it.
gear always higher then cartel market items, and yes to have it as a costume, put it in Outfitter 🙂
I ended up finding it, somehow I didn't see that menu lmao. Thank you though!
I guess i have another 2 questions: is there any way to check what unlocks I have/don't have? Like for example, I wasn't sure if I bought Section X before or not
and the other one is: is there anything "must have" in the cartel market? I have like 7000 cartel coins
Yes, go into your collections, you can see what you have and don't have unlock there and so forth, check the Section X on the cm if you have it there will be a thing next to the item stating so, and oh my theres lots of stuff on the cm that are a must but I'll leave that up to you to find out what you like or don't like and such, all comes down to taste, style, and what you are looking for there lol 😛
Gotcha! Thank you so much @tall fiber
I didnt see the collections tab lmao
I already have the outfit I want, so I was looking at some QOL stuff (I am subbed rn) that people recommend/recommend against
But I guess I will play a bit and see what I feel i need/dont need!
What happens to items that don't sell on GTN? (Duration run out)
they return to you in a mail
Thank you
Is there a way to lock abilities to certain quickbar slots when swapping combat styles or will they change every time?
You need to create a loadout to do that
Click C then to loadouts
Does the PTS go up often? I'm hoping to test out the force classes because I'm not sure which I want to main and I don't want to commit to levelling multiple
Semi regular every or so by that i mean once every 4 months etc
Aaah well that's going to be a while then, shit.
I'm finding it hard to get concrete info and footage that's up to date on Jugg and Assassin so it's harder to make a choice
Ask away
I play both ask me anything you want too know
Just trying to get an idea for their playstyle tbh. I like the ability to stealth and pick fights and disenage in pvp on assass, but in pve I like tanking and I don't like mechanics like dark ward (reminds me of earth shield in wow which I don't like either)
I also don't know how bursty juggs are in PVP, feels like they're based on dot spread where as assass has deception that can just pop out and burst someone
Right ok so both have taunts. But no plays assassin as tank on dps as it's too squishy
Jugg can do the role of tank in sm and even in some vet fights in dps spec
Assassin is the only one that can stealth of the two. However it's not very useful unless you good at it and wont earn medals doing it
Depends if you prefer tap and run or stand and fight
Deception is relatively dead as of 7.1
Not very good unless you very skillful with it
Ping me if you want any responces
@dense karma Back when I played at launch, I remember assassins being able to stand and fight for a while because they had self-healing or something and were pretty durable. That's gone now then, at least in comparison with Jugg?
One of the reasons I don't play operative is because I don't like the squishy high damage stealth guy, if that makes sense? Assass seems like the middle ground
The self heal on assassin is dog shit
Assassin is more damage less self heal thsn operative
If you want to stand and fight with good defensives then it has to be jugg no question
Might be a silly question, but is the Star Forge Server for pacific time zone?
Is there a way to farm Conquest Commendations without Alts?
I need about a 100 of them, no Alts even near lvl 80, and it looks like the only way is to wait for reset, which is kinda annoying (very tbh)
No. Both SF and SS are hosted on the east coast. Historically, some pacific time zone servers were merged into SS so that’s the closest you’ll get
Not really sorry
if i join a guild, will i get exp bonus and other benefits immediately or only after the weekly reset (like my conquest doesn't count until reset)?
Perks and xp are immediate.
thank you =)
Joining my guild finally? Lol
