These are what I plan to A/B test as thumbnails, with the following titles as suggestions as well.

Thumbnail A Title: "I turned Youtube into a galaxy and explored it" (This is with the arrow pointing with ME)

Thumbnail B Title(s): "I found Youtube's weirdest niches" OR "The weirdest corners of Youtube, visualized". (This is the G*N ASMR text image)

Video Context: I scraped lots of popular creator channels' information from the youtube fandom website, turned it into an interactive 3d plot(that looks like a galaxy of stars), and categorized them. I found expected ones but also very interesting ones(roblox roleplay, Thomas the Tank Engine, 4 vtuber categories, etc) The site will be published for anyone to explore upon posting.

Nice feedback post! Please keep in mind that all feedback is provided out of the good will of the community, so it may take some time for you to get a response.

Please avoid reposting or begging members in other channels to check out this thread.

If you receieve no feedback at all, consider that as feedback in a sense.

Thumbnail A Title: "I turned Youtube into a galaxy and explored it". I would not click it. Generally I would say "maybe in your niche it makes sense..." but I have no idea in what niche that'd work because it's way too vague. If I see that and I see another video where I KNOW what I am going to get, I will click the other video.

#

The second title is more descriptive but that Thumb is also very confusing. They seem incongrount to me since I see the thumb and think "astronomy" which I like, and then I read the title and then I am like "nope."

#

The idea of the video is very unique, and I am not sure how many people are out there interested on that. Don't get me wrong, maybe it DOES work for others, but it doesn't work for me. I can't even begin to imagine how you can plot youtube niches...it seems odd. Like "I ranked cars based on their ackerman ratio plotted in a curb." I think the idea is that maybe you found clusters...I don't know. Usually I see "fandom" and I am expecting to be served morbid curioisty stuff, which works for me in that context.

#

Like there is a subreddit called "Cars F@cking Dragons"* and of course* "Dragons F@cking cars." Why? What do those people talk about? How many people ARE there interested in that? Do I even want to see what they are about? It triggers a big curisoity gap...but the promise of this video seems focus on the data and plotting and less on the exploring.

#

You correct me if I am missing the point though.

# normal pulsar That is way too long. You have 5-7 seconds to confirm the click to the viewer in...

I appreciate that info. I did go through making a good hook for the first 15-20 seconds, but it does transition to the "how I got all the data" and eventually "let's find good stuff".

I'm either going to redo the hook, significantly shorten the video to "I got data" and immediately move to showing how the clustering of creators looks, OR redo the thumbnail based on what I have now and move to the next idea just because I have a lot more I want to iterate through

Yeah the thumb needs significant work. Constellations, specifically, have a very strong correlation to astronomy, and this is broadened by the design you gave them. Kind of like if you had someone chopping vegetables and pointing at the chef like "that's me", that would give a strong "oh this is about cooking" vibe. If you found really quirky or "depraved" ones, those would be the ones to highlight...Roblox roleplay sure...geometry wars and demons? That sounds almost normal. Now, Geometry Wars Erotica? That open curiosity.
