#Am I in a “just keep posting” situation?

Shorts-only creator. :30-ish videos. Daily posting for about two weeks now.

I’m a stand up trying to build an audience. After posting a couple old B-material stand up clips, I quickly realized I don’t want to burn current A material and found myself really enjoying writing/producing/editing comedic talking head/reaction stuff.

I have some friends and siblings who have larger followings and their advice has been generally positive. All I’m really getting is “you’re on the right track. Just keep posting.”

Wondering if this community agrees. Any thoughts and constructive feedback are welcome. Thanks for considering.

You should take time to assess why your videos aren’t performing.

What aspects can be improved

Doing the same thing over again will result in you guess, the same results.

It takes one video to go viral. How shorts go viral is the avd and how high it is.

See how you can improve it take notes other creators.

Your on the right track just keep posting will get you nowhere. It will harm your growth in the long term

I dont do shorts, but my personal by channel went viral in 2 videos and I made millions of views so I think I am qualified enough to give you this advice.

Thanks. Are you saying change lanes entirely, tighten up production, tighten up writing, go longer form? Your advice is taken but a little vague.

You dont have to switch topics.
I checked the videos in your channel and I could say it definitely needs more editing. I dont think having three screens at once is enjoyable to watch, if I came across your vidwo randomly I’d probably just scroll.

I think you should replicating edits for shorts similar to how other creators in your niche do it and see if it performs any better. Take notes of the editing techniques they use. What cuts what effects try to learnt them

Also analyzing the way they write their scripts, the perfect length, how they write their hooks how they write every sentence is a good idea.

Just learn from what works and incorporate jt into your own channel.

i had my own shorts channel a year ago. I only averaged 40-50k views a short before i switched to longform. this process is exactly what I did to get to that level

Yeah from what I’ve seen they’re either side by side with a ton of empty space on the top and bottom or they’re seated at a desk with a studio background and the video playing below them. I feel good about the writing but obviously something is missing. Doesn’t feel great to hear people have so much success so early but I appreciate the advice. I’ll make it less busy visually for sure.
