For context I have a channel in the music and composition niche. The content is tutorial/ educational style and I show how to make music or make sense of it. I used an AI voice over before and people didn't seem to like it so I have used my own voice in this video.

I would really like some thoughts on the voiceover. Is it acceptable? I know it's not very high energy but that's just how I speak lmao. I also want to know if I'm clear and understandable. I'm quite biased against my own voice so any opinion is appreciated.

I have attached a small snippet of the video I'm working on.

I think you just need a bit more practice with doing voiceovers to improve your annunciation
Otherwise it sounds mostly clear
You can also edit the audio a bit like adjusting the EQ or adding a compressor which can make the voiceover sound better
If you use something like audacity to record audio, you can just search up a tutorial on how to make audio sound better and there should be a lot of quick and simple videos showing you what to do

Yeah you can apply them on the existing voiceover
It's also just better to do it this way in general
You want to record without any effects so you have the raw recording of your voiceover, and then in post you can add or remove effects to see if it sounds better or not
If you add these filters as you're recording, you have no idea what the effects will do and you won't have the raw recording afterwards

Yeah no problem!

you honestly just play around with it until it sounds good
my rule of thumb is to not overdo it, but just add enough so my voice sounds fuller

I usually just slightly boost the lowest and highest frequenices a bit and that works out for me

Thanks for the help tho. I do feel like it did help since I feel like my voice sounded more heavy first and after eq it sounds somewhat less heavy

Just mess around with it until it sounds good
But really, the most improvement you can get is from practice
Every person who's new to doing voiceovers always starts out sounding unclear or mumbly
