Well without even clicking on your videos, I'd have to tell you, the thumbnails and titles dont really introduce any sort of clarity as to what the video is outside of "guitar" and the titles themselves dont help with that aspect much either. For instance "Clean Tone Sucks Like My Dad's Cooking" would be better as something like "Why You Should Stop Using Clean Tone To Level Up Your Guitar" or someting like that.
#Growing a new youtube channel focused on electric guitar

honestly people that are trying to learn the guitar are likely less focused on the tone/timbre of the guitar when starting out, as if they cant play chords, tone means next to nothing - is it boring to teach people how to play chords? yeah kinda is tbh, but its the fundamentals that people need in order to build from there
those basic guitar tutorials almost always pick up views
i also agree with staff, if you arent getting people clicking on the video, its not because of the content in the video, its that the title/thumbnail need improving - i believe there is a guide somewhere around here on how to make a good thumbnail, and as for titles, say what you need to say, but make in compact enough to not get truncated
the channel isnt for beginner guitarists though
its for more "advanved" beginners/intermediate people who are looking to step it up
i think i agree with you
ohh rightright, completely misread the vibe, my bad
because, im honestly not good at making thumbnails (when i say that i mean that i dont know rhe first thing about it)
nono youre fine i also didnt really make that clear lol
maybe you are right as well
although the second title you suggested is a tad bit long
it would have to be something similar with the same idea
Long is fines your doing tutorials, you want to cram some seo in there
i suppose so
also you mentioned the title on the first video, would you have anything to say about the titles on the other ones?
Yea stop being metaphorical tell them what’s going on “icing on a cake” doesn’t mean anything to someone with a guitar
i experimented with 2 of the videos
what do you think of this sort of idea (title/thumbnail)
@split crow
The top one I like, the bottom one I think might be too niche. But I do prefer this packaging
the bottom sorta has to be niche tho, because the video is specifically focused on worship guitar (for church)
the top video kinda applies to any guitar player
Right, i was just letting you know that the video concept might be too niche to do well.
not sure how big an audience there is for specifically woship guitar.
ive watched quite a few channels on this nieche
alright thats good then if there is an audience, Im just not familiar with it but yea.
afaik the audience definitely exists, theres no doubt that it is a bit smaller than just "guitar" though
personally i used to watch worship guitar videos a lot, years ago
so i guess im targetting people like my old me
i could do some more research on my niche though
