Alot of reviewers kinda just put a poster up with their face and i was told to try testing that sort of vibe to mimic. I have a few options here (as well as other pics that are identical but of just me being bored). Is there one you prefer? The red ones I like more but the blue background is more in line with some popular reviewers. Any edits you suggest?

Idk if it's a good idea to try to mimic that if you're not famous/well known to your community already. You're using up a lot of real estate for yourself where people dunno who you are so that probably won't entice them.
That being said, the almost one I think looks best because the picture seems clearest that you look kinda annoyed and pouring alcohol in your cup

i think the jurassic bored text is good but i prefer the colours and the picture of the third version (the 'almost' one)

I think the almost works better for that one tbh idk if Jurassic bored would make it feel too cluttered
Maybe "Jurassic world more like Jurassic bored" could be the title so you don't have to put Jurassic bored in the thumbnail

The blue works with that movie poster as it is. The red works with the way you have the other one. I think it's possible that the almost and that photo could look better on the other style with the red full screen but need to see it first
Also you could try to do some a/b testing with a couple of ideas to see if something works better than the other

The world "almost" didnt fit in the blue square but these are a few variations on the options. I need to fix the seam in the red photos but you get the idea. Was thinking the title of "Let's Talk Jurassic Park 7, I Guess | Jurassic World Rebirth Review" Open to any and all suggestions! @gilded niche @wise tangle
can also change the white text background to black, feels a bit more clear

Yep
You could do an a/b test with that and the almost one from earlier with your face. Then you can see which thumbnail is leading to more watch time
More average watch time I think is how the YouTube decides which is better than the person clicks and watches through

At minimum. Cuz it should be big changes between the thumbnail to really see what works. If they're only slightly different you can't really tell anything
