#Thumbnail feedback

I feel like instead of having boxes with question marks, you should put pictures of the people you tier listed and add a blur because otherwise it kind of doesn't add anything
i was thinking of that but didn't wanna spoil any of the placements
i feel like a heavy blur and boxes with question marks have the same exact effect
well you don't have to show all of them, but showing one or two would make the thumbnail be more intriguing
fair enough, thanks for the advice!
besides that part, which of the two do you like better?
I'd say the right one
the left one looks kinda awkward with the pictures just overlayed like that haphazardly
Yea I thought the same, however my ctr with the first thumbnail was higher than the second
i changed it to the second a day and a half ago
and my ctr has gone down
could be that youtube is simply pushing it out to a more uninterested audience
but i changed it back to the first one to see if the ctr goes up
how many views does the video have
I'd take your analytics with a grain of salt if you have a low sample size
what were the CTR's for both thumbnails
hmm I see
yea a pretty noticeable drop
i figure it might be the audience its getting pushed to now is more broad
since i also liked the 2nd thumbnail better
idk, I personally don't think youtube's A/B testing is the end all be all
I still feel like the right thumbnail has a better overall concept, but would perform better if you changed the question marks to be pictures of those people on the left because it might be the case that the higher CTR comes from more of those recognizable figures
you're right
thanks for helping out!
