Feedback on this Minecraft Suspicious Stew Thumb? I like it but feels like it could use some tweaks

Minecraft fan here; I like it but I think the minecraft version of the stew should be way larger, I doubt its visible when shown in the youtube sidebar.

Thats a tough question. While the small stew wont really be noticeable I wouldnt remove the crafting table personally. To me it ties in the minecraft background into your table the food is on.
It might just be one of those small details only a few people see. Could always see how you feel about hiding the table and blowing up the stew larger.

I like the crafting table, I would just make it bigger to give a 'before/after' vibe

though it does feel a bit crowded like this

Just a little bit.
I think it makes the stew more noticeable but I actually like the zoomed out minecraft background. Might be worth a/b testing.
Either way I do think its a strong thumbnail concept.

I'm assuming this is a "I made suspicious stew in real life" type thing, in which case my one gripe with it is that it's not immediately clear

I'd actually do a picture of suspicious stew in game, then an arrow, and then your real version, and maybe add "IRL" to the text at the top

in that case I'd just add an arrow between the in game sprite and the real life bowl

I feel like the hearts at the bottom don't add anything and look out of place, and the text at the top could stand out a bit more with maybe a black background or something

and I'd definitely add a white line to separate the Minecraft from the real life stew, as it's a little jarring and the line would smooth it out

Other than that, it looks pretty good!!

gives a 'this stew gives back 3 hearts' kind of vibe (even though it replenishes hunger in minecraft)
