#My thumbnails suck, wanna roast them? || My last few thumbnails

If i had to guess as to why "whats in my art bag" performed the best is just how general it is.
You could argue the other videos are "too niche" or "too focused" (nothing wrong with that at all) as to why people didnt click on it.
You might be able to get some meaningful stats from studio from the artbag video because its almost at 1k views but typically all stats from <1k viewed videos are pretty meaningless because of how easy 20-30views can skew them (low sample size)
Also I would avoid putting stuff in the bottom right hand corner.
Thank you!! I'll go change that thumbnail when I get a chance, I was mostly worried they weren't eye catching enough? I like keeping them pretty simple and themed around my banner but I didn't know if simple would work against me
Well i wouldnt really worry about past thumbnails its always best to upload then move on nine times out of ten.
So i think its up to what type of audience you are trying to cultivate. People looking for art supplies or recommendations are probably not going to watch "sketchbook doodling"
And sometimes videos just flop and it is what it is. All you can really do is keep making content and looking for areas to improve.
If you notice you have high impessions but low views then ya its a title+thumbnail issue.
But for videos that are <1k views its hard to pull meaningful stats.
Average ctr is 2-10%
Ctr isnt the say all be all either.
Sometimes youtube will show it to wider groups of people which naturally brings it down.
Everyones journey is different and some blow up after 5 videos, 50, 100, 300, or never. Treat it as a hobby until proven otherwise.
You are about a 3rd of the way via subscriber count in 2 months to monetization(not including watch hours thats the tough part) so give yourself some credit.
Oh it was always gonna be a hobby tbh, and hopefully something to fund my art supplies while I work a irl job, but it's good to know I'm on the right track! Thank you!
Definitely no text, this is where I typically see people's face
The thumbnails seem good though tbh. Cashews gave a lot of good feedback
I'm just being completely honest, the artwork seems a bit "amateur" so I think people are less likely to click in general. You definitely have a consistent style, it just doesn't stand out if someone was just scrolling through recommended videos
