Pretty proud with how this one turned out. Let me know if there's anything I could improve for next time!

First of all, the views do NOT reflect how good this video is.. Not just the general editing, but the talent on the mic too. I get vibes of PRO MC VIDEO! I think if this video was put out even 3 or 4 years ago.. it would be seeing 200k+ if not a MIL! I dont really know the state of the MC youtube community, but if videos like this are going under watched.. then im guessing its probably winding down.. I know ive watched videos on LOTS of creators that have pivoted away from MC and moved onto other things because the audience just wasnt there! If you find that your videos are not being watched.. PLEASE MY FRIEND!! Move onto something that has a good audience, you guys are funny.. interesting and gel really well together. Dont waste your talent on a community that isnt appreciating it. 22 views in 7 hours from 13k subs tells me that people have moved on from MC.. i could be wrong.. i know a few of ur other vids have some good numbers.. but from 13k i would definitely expect more than the numbers u are currently getting.. btw.. thats not critique.. because it doesnt reflect your talent.. i think ur production value is on par with a million sub channel.. i just question if you are putting effort into the right area.. hope that helps man!! good luck dude!!

@rocky scarab Thank you so much for the kind words!! It really means a ton!! Haha I wish I was posting this stuff a few years ago, if only I knew 😭 I would say the MC community right now is kinda stagnate. A lot of people are trying to copy Dream's style or are posting very kid-directed content. Nothing really too big is happening. However in the past 1-2 months Minecraft horror has kinda started to take off, which I'm trying to ride this wave. The Minecraft movie is also coming out so I think a bit more people will start watching this stuff. Yeah I really get demotivated with the low views tbh. Right now the videos usually only pick up after the first day-ish, so it's a bit too early to tell how this video is doing. For example my MrBeast recent video was staying at 40ish views for the first day and now it's at 11,000 views. Most of my subs are from a few shorts I made so they're not translating into long-form content. I would say I only have about 500 long form subs which is decent. I really appreciate the input and kind words man, I'm gonna try to stick it out for a bit more to see if I get any traction, but if not I'm probably gonna move on. I hope that if I switch my content people are still gonna watch, only time will tell 😭 😭

  1. im sure you've already realized but dont make shorts on ur main channel, most of the time its not a good idea since ur sub count just gets inflated which you've had happen. they wont translate over to long form and youtube doesnt like it very much when ur own subscribers dont watch ur videos. it's generally better to make a second channel for shorts.

  2. im going to be completely real with you, this same minecraft formula has been replicated a million times. this is the most GENERIC minecraft video imaginable you start it off with the same copy and paste intro every single minecraft youtuber uses. your goal should be to try and stand out with new and fresh ideas, you even said yourself you're just riding the minecraft horror wave. dont ride waves, make the content you genuinely wanna make. if you ride waves and jump from topic to topic u wont grow an audience and people wont watch. stick to one niche and then slowly expand out to other stuff.

  3. the video is way too long and gets repetitive, should've been max 10 minutes. its just you and your friend running around for 20 minutes getting killed by the same monster. keep only the funny parts in, nobody wants to watch 20 minutes of yapping. get straight to the point when editing.

  4. thumbnail is pretty decent not really good or bad, although u probably should've made it more clear in the title and thumbnail that u actually have to be quiet. simply having the "a quiet place" isn't really enough to go off of

  5. yeah jack no shit this would've probably done numbers if it was put out 3 or 4 years ago lmao because it would've been semi-original back then. u shouldnt focus on that and instead, focus on how u could get 200k+ today. minecraft is one of the biggest video games in the entire world. theres always gonna be a scene for it on youtube. u just need to have good video ideas.

i personally dont think this video will perform that well, but maybe you'll surprise me good luck bro

Thanks for the feedback man!

  1. Yeah I completely agree. Shorts don’t really do anything good to your long form videos in my opinion, unless you already have an established fan base.

  2. That’s a good point too, I’m gonna brainstorm some ways to stand out. Right now I think the problem is im trying to fit in but I have to be an outlier for sure. I have a handful of ideas planned that are extremely unique and interesting, I think I’ll film those ones first.

  3. I’ll focus on removing unnecessary segments for the next video. Some parts I had to include for story purposes but I’ll work on that.

  4. The Quiet Place is the name of the mod.

  5. You’re right I have to be much more original.

Thanks again bro appreciate it

I hope it all goes well for u man.. u have a great attitude.. which certainly translates in ur videos.. ur doing everything right and u dont have too many high expectations.. ur keeping them all REAL .. so u shouldnt find too many situations that will destroy ur will to do videos.. u just gotta keep going man.. nothing wrong with pivoting.. im sure most people that subbed are subbing because of ur personality.. so will watch anything u do.. so yeah.. great work man!!
