Hello. I'm planning a new channel and I need to know if this profile picture and banner are good enough. I'm my biggest hater so I can't say for sure if it's ugly as I think it is.

The channel will be about science, so I stylized the name to resemble some symbols, but I want it to look cool for someone who doesn't know what they mean too.

I've only made an anime channel in the past so this is definitely harder, I can't just slap an anime girl into it. All of this was made using Google Slides.

I have no skills or money to invest on this now, so if it's just "okay" then it's good for me.

My plan is to make the channel page resemble a cloudy day with gray thumbnails. The channel's name in English would be "atrocious wind", I want to show how brutal the weather can be, but maybe it sounds stupid.

Thanks for the attention so far, I would love to hear your thoughts on this.

Ok, quick bit about design

logos and banners and the such dont have to amazing at first. They cna be anything! And really some people just use really simple stuff when they start out (a picture of them, a drawing, etc)

BUT if youre trying to make a serious design (which eventually will happen in your career) you need to make a design that:

  1. represents you enough your fans will know its you
  2. either represents your type of content or your personality OR is SOOOO representive of you (number 1) it doesnt matter
  3. is stylistically aesthethic to look at (or at least not aesthethic if thats the point)

Id argue trying to make a symbol that your logo loks messy, complicated, and while it has a good structure, it doesn't scream "science!" to me

again, it doesnt really matter now, but if youre trying to make a serious design, I'd simplfy it a bit
