Does my thumbnail look elaborative enough?

Im new at thumbnails. I want to know if this thumbnail manages to get the point across quickly and noticeably. The video is going to be about engaging combat with massive lag

I don't think it's super clear what the video is about, in combination with a clear title it could work, or with text in the thumbnail that like "so much lag!" "the lag is insane!" or something

as someone who plays minecraft i understood it immediatly

i would only recommend to add a better background

maybe one of the 1v1 arenas of hypixel or some and maybe blur it a bit

Depends on who you want to reach though, wouldn't you want your thumbnails to be readable for a larger group of people. But like I said a more descriptive title would do the trick as well.

Casual gamers might not know it or people who only watch minecraft videos and don't play it themselves.

But then again it is about who you want to reach, adding the term lag will make more people understand it, whether that is in the title or thumbnail

i get what your trying to get at but for this specific topic that thumbnail is perfect dumbing it will just lower the quality just so it can be seen by more people that may not even be intrested in it

This is going to be my first video, so i figured Youtube would recommend the video to people who are deep in the Minecraft space first, since i keep getting recommended videos with <50 views

I'd just add "INSANE LAG" at the bottom of the thumbnail cause as of the moment, there isn't really a lot that grabs the attention. The thumbnail is readable, sure, but it isn't particularly interesting beyond that

The contrast is pretty bad between your characters and the background. They blend in together something fierce. It only adds to making the thumbnail disappear into the background

Personally I think Putting Insane Lag at the bottom is dumbing it down way too much
