What: I made a video about "How to rent a GTR in Tokyo". I put a lot of effort to make it very informative and easy to watch. My channel is automotive inspired. I post a ton of videos about traveling and showcasing car culture around the world, DIY's, building cars, and also showcasing local events. My question is: What can I do to spread this video or my channel to get a farther outreach and wider audience to people who might be interested?

Types of Feedback: Positive or Negative, I am willing to read your thoughts. I appreciate you reading this!

Specifics: Was the editing okay? I tried to keep it sub 5minutes (4:03). Do you think I could've done anything differently?

Hey so I watched your video, excellent quality. For me personally, maybe try make it easier to digest. For example:

  • 10 things to know when renting a car in Tokyo (people love numbers in title)
  • Renting a car in Tokyo - don't miss these 5 things
  • 5 mistakes not to make when renting a car in Tokyo
  • Complete guide to renting a car in Tokyo (shows authority)

Then, break up the video into chapters, which also makes it easier to digest, so people click on the parts they might find more useful (this might hurt avd too so be careful).

Look at Wolters World, he does travel tips but he lives on these catchy titles.

But to answer your question, there's two types of ways to grow:

  • let YouTube do it's thing, which means constantly trying to up the various metrics. Most channels only use YouTube for growth because it does such a good job at it
  • Going into discord and subreddits for this niche. Takes more time and you might not notice instant growth, but over time you might find more genuine fans

since your making informative content your channel most likely will not grow fast

#

also if you want to grow you might need to pick a niche just cars in general is too wide

#

Im also intrested in cars in general

#

but if i want to watch a car building video ill go to specific channels like Mat Armstrong or if i want to learn how to fix something i would go to ChrisFix

#

so i would suggest narrowing your content to something more specific

yes its definitely a step in the right direction. And it looks really clean now

#

And Im not saying to restart your own channel but if you wanna do the content the way you are doing then you wont see fast growth

#

if you want to make a channel that covers everything about cars then embrace it

#

make a community around it and grow that way

#

you can even start a discord for your community where you talk about everything involving cars

#

and from here on its just gonna take a lot of time of you just grinding for example Penguinz0 he covers a lot of random topics and he did for a very long time(10+ years) and thats how he became succesful
