I like the added color but I think the details on the canned/boxed food is going to get lost in the clutter, and the dollar sign seems a little... slapped on there? I think you're on the right track and it just needs some adjusting. What if you did like, a very simple looking grocery bag (think like, the brown paper bag from a movie with the french bread sticking out of it) with a dollar sign on it?
