I think to make it look like it has a bit more quality add a shadow effect under the board ,turn the text black keep it's shadow ,add shadows on the borders that vignette effect and change the background from white to an old light yellowish crippled paper , I think it will fit the theme better

Just one problem because im using canvas free version, the chinese chess board has a white background
so i cant remove the bg image
