i personally like the first one, but i think you should play around with the fonts and the placements of the words.
i took the thumbnail and after a few minutes of messing around i got this, just as an example. comparing it with yours, i think it is a bit better as it gets attention faster.
im not saying its perfect, but messing around with small things like that will help.
