I try to make ships sinking in the background, tried cutting off one of them, tilting it and darkening the bottom of it but it still does not feel as if it is sinking... any tips?

I realize that the style of the ship is different to the water also, but it's surprisingly hard to find CC licensed oceans in this style-ish
I am trying to make it clear that this mathematician was able to sink ships, his name was Archimedes
but creating a thumbnail that supports that eventual title is quite difficult, any ideas are really appreciated

Honestly I love the thumbnail! Maybe if you move him to the very left and insert some short text in the center?

If you're looking for ways to specifically avoid adding text, i still think moving him to the left and making the ship bigger might help it look like it's sinking more? Because once I get a closer look at it, I can tell its sinking, but not from far away

honestly you did a good job with making the ship look like it sank, maybe if u want it extra realistic you could colorgrade the sea and the ship so that it matches colors, and then add anothre color grading on top of both of them to create a "blue/cold" scenery
and like loreerai said good feedback u can add those titles in the thumbnail and definitly scale the ship bigger because that's the highlight of what the videos is about and is as or even more important than Archimedes
nice idea for the video tho! would definitly click if i saw a title like "The person who could sink ships with his bare hands" or something like that :p

Hey @mighty rain thanks alot for the comment, again! Yeah my friend watched the new Indiana Jones movie, and saw that they used Archimedes Mirror (most likely just a story, not real history) so I read up on it, and found out he was not only a mathematician, he was a genius overall! Will be interesting to create this video, and as always it will take so, so long..!
Will try to scale it up and see what happens 👀

Hm, I don't think that will work, I feel as if I need to make it really fkn clear that the ship is screwed, as with fire and such. Just no clue how to add fire to this, even if I have some great looking png's
