there's a lot of deadspace
like the only parts that are used are the mine and the player on the right, you're wasting 90% of the thumbnail
its also very gray
I can just color it on
As far as the dead space though how could that be alleviated?
either zoom in or put something there
Without adding like arrows and stuff lol
Uhhhhh I cannot zoom in on the mine lol
wdym
that's not quite what I said
you've scaled the mine up
zoom the entire thumbnail in
you can then cut out the player on the right and move them so they're still in frame
Not shabby. cuts out my friend too
you can then add arrows and text to bring some colour in
play around with the zoom level a bit til you find something you like
You dont think arrows would make the image tacky or clickbaity?
I think you can zoom in more
clickbait is only bad if it's a lie
you want people to click
Hmm I see
like if someone sees a thumbnail that they want to click on, and the video delivers on what they expected, everyone wins
its your thumbnail, if you want to use arrows do
I think this zoom level feels the most comfortable
I think it looks good
I agree. The dead space definitely felt weird since you mentioned it
Im gonna touch up the drop shadow and add something in
maybe make the shadow coloured, like red or blue
This is going to be difficult im colorblind
Now it feels kinda blah
Idk the color messes it up I think.
Good point
More of a blue tone to contrast the red
also don't like the skull?
I put the skull because of the movement of the image.
Arrow ---> Mine ---> Death.
I still think adding some coloured text would be better
when I look at it my eyes are first attracted to the skull, then the arrow, then the mine
So what if I drop the quality of the skull?
are you against adding text?
Im not against it.
It just seems basic
I feel like text is used to describe a situation
But there is no need to describe what is going on.
not always, you used text in the original thumbnail in a way that didn't describe the situation
True that was a way of expression I suppose.
Idk I feel like adding text just crowds the image too much
too much going on
Maybe just 1 word could work?
the image is a bit too crowded yeah but I think it's still better than without it
I'm not convinced by the 3D text, feels dated
