#Channel Redesign - Thumbnail Colour Palette and Font Feedback

I am currently workshopping some ideas to rebrand my channel (minipainting) and am trying to come up with a fun colour palette for my thumbnails - something that pops out and isn't aggressive. I'm also trying to find a couple fonts to use as "standard" for my channel.

These three thumbnails are just an example of the fonts and colours I am testing - the actual composition of the thumbnails was done up quickly since these are just examples to get a feel for it.

What do you think? Is it readable? Clickable? Inviting? What about the faint background collage (the brushes)? Is that too much?

Appreciate any input!

Not sure what you're asking - if you're asking what each of these videos are about, that doesn't really matter here. I'm just looking for some feedback on colour choices and font readability as I am looking to create a specific palette for my channel in order for it to have more "brand identity". Some other pastel-ish colours may sneak in here/there but I am trying to create a few dominant colours that will be seen more often in order to establish that "brand"

States "minipainting" - also my channel is linked in my profile as well. Essentially I paint miniatures and talk about the miniature painting hobby (Warhammer, Warmachine, Infinity, DnD, etc, etc)

Thanks I appreciate it! The channel visually just feels very unfocused, I want to make it a bit more cohesive. Also going to be changing the channel name, icon, banner, etc. Full refresh and then a stronger approach with future videos, after learning a lot over the last year

that is good approach

Thanks - I feel like my thumbnails sometimes get too wordy, maybe too much going on here/there, etc. Want to try and reel it all in and hoping that will also help me focus when it comes to creation as well

sure why not

first let me analyze it

Thank you!

The "Sword and Brush" video is probably the best example of how my content has progressed - the newest 2 videos are more for people deep into the hobby that want something in the background while they paint

Define Your Brand Elements:

Consider the core themes of your content and your personal style. Are there specific colors, symbols, or imagery that represent your channel and the miniature painting hobby?
Color Palette:

Choose a color palette that aligns with the themes of your content and appeals to your target audience. Since you're involved in miniature painting, consider colors commonly associated with that hobby, such as rich earth tones, metallics, or vibrant fantasy colors.
Typography:

Select a consistent and easily readable font for your text elements. Ensure that the font style complements the theme of your content. It's important that the text on the thumbnail is legible even at smaller sizes.
Consistency Across Thumbnails:

Establish a consistent layout and design elements across all your thumbnails. This helps create a cohesive and recognizable brand. Viewers should be able to identify your content at a glance.
Incorporate Branding Elements:

Integrate recognizable branding elements such as your logo, a mascot, or a specific graphic style that sets your channel apart.
High-Quality Imagery:

Use high-quality images that accurately represent the content of your videos. Clear and visually appealing thumbnails are more likely to attract clicks.
Test and Iterate:

Don't be afraid to experiment with different designs and observe how your audience responds. Analyze the performance of different thumbnails and refine your approach based on what works best.

Yeah, I am pretty familiar with Squidmar. I am trying to create my own style though. His is basically always shot of his face, a circle behind him, and then some hobby related., with some exceptions, of course

#

He always has that big, explosive feel, but I am trying to do something that’s more my own
