Text speed/readability for my Youtube Shorts Visual Novel.

Hey everyone.

So I have been working on my own visual novel for a while now. For those of you who don't know, it's basically an interactive narrative with sound, music, art, etc. I decided that, instead of publishing it as an actual game, it could be more interesting to reformat it for YouTube, specifically for shorts.

I've published the first three shorts as drafts. I would be very grateful if some of you could give them a quick watch and let me know what you think, specifically regarding the format (text speed, readability, etc).

I'm hoping to start uploading them officially in December. I totally understand this is a very niche project and I do not expect anything close to an actual audience. It's mainly for fun, but feedback is still very much welcome.

text speed seems good to me!

I'm a particularly fast reader, so for me it was too slow, but that means it was likely about right for most people 😂

Not necessarily on what you requested feedback on, but I'd consider a different font, I kind of feel like it doesn't really match with the video (or feels like a font you would use for video to begin with)

Text speed is fine, I don't know how bright most of your videos would be but if you're going for anything darker, an white outline might help
