What's poppin' people!

I would like to begin recording my video game content in a better quality. At the moment, I'm recording off of my 2015 Macbook pro which can only handle 720p at 30fps. I would like to get to 1080p at 60 fps. What specifications should I be looking at for a new laptop or PC to achieve this?

Almost anything in the mid tier should be able to record 1080p nowadays. I'm surprised your MacBook can't to be honest. I have a low end MacBook from 2012 that can do it. That's is if all you are trying to do is recording and not playing while recording. Because that's a whole different beast. And for that, I would suggest to just use 2 systems. One for recording, one for playing. Like I said, your current MacBook should be able to handle recording alone already but if it can't, there are external video recorders that can do it. That way your PC's load is lightened significantly
