The raids are only at Go Fest Tokyo this week / weekend. We don’t really have any members here that are in that area (and there’s not much reason for them to host when lobbies fill almost instantly), which is why for a while we wouldn’t support those in-person event raids.

But now with the RSVP system it’s possible some have friends on location and can use RSVPs to host them and invite others, so we made them available, but the quantity will likely still be quite low overall compared to when, for example, the Go Fest Chicago event happens.

Have two great fighting types for his Persian and his 2nd Pokémon and have a counter for latios. Odds are for his 2nd pokemon it’ll be weak to fighting since it can be one of lapras, rhyperior or nidoking (the only one not weak to fighting). Would be good to have an ice type in case the pokemon is nidoking since it’ll be useful for latios too

I would recommend Lucario (resists normal) and Machamp/Conkeldurr (great DPS) and for your third pokemon I suggest Hydreigon if you have one with brutal swing powered up, or Mamoswine

Your buddy doesn’t need to be on the map with you to accumulate walking distance and earn candy. Being on the map only matters for earning the Distance hearts.

Hmmm, weird. The only thing I can think of is that when you start your day the game used to accumulate some distance for the buddy hearts even if the buddy wasn’t fed/on the map and then once you fed it you’d get the credit. But if you switch out to another buddy before feeding you lose the distance/hearts. I now always do some daily stuff with multiple buddies just after midnight so I don’t see that behaviour anymore so not sure if that’s still happening. But maybe that’s the explanation for what you’re seeing?
