I first listened to NCT when Kick It was released. I actually heard about them from a Kpop loving acquaintance who was completely fangirling over the song. I decided to check it out and loved the song so much. I learned all the NCT members names and kept up with the big news like NCT Dream’s graduation concept being abolished but didn’t actually really get into them until NCT 2020 content came out. From then on, I was all about NCT, NCT Dream especially. They’ve been my ult group the longest even surpassing BTS, my second longest ult group. I loved NCT so much that I even downloaded superstar smtown and everything else is history.

I found out about NCT as an EXO-L back in 2017. At the time, I wasn't a fan but listened to some of their music. I remember when Boss and Baby Don't Stop came out, and I liked the songs. In 2019 they released Superhuman, and it was on repeat for me. But it wasn't until late 2021 that I got back into Kpop after a break and started becoming interested in NCT. It was a Taeyong video that got me (the hilarious one of him reacting to the Boss distorted edit). I started watching his content and fancams, and I was hooked. Then I started binging Mark content, and soon enough I was an NCTzen. Mark is my ult now, but I still love Taeyong and my favorite units are Dream and WayV!

But more specifically, it was the level of consideration the Korean members showed towards the non-Korean members and their struggle with adapting to language and culture differences.
I'd gotten so used to it just being another joke that someone was only laughing on que or couldn't play basic word games because they didn't have the vocabulary, that seeing them have translation for Kun and Winwin, and trying every possible alternative to communicate with them when translators weren't around was just so touching.
And the active effort going I to learning other languages without it being for a specific show or because they were going to perform in a week and needed to at least be able to introduce themselves? It hit me with the warm and fuzzies and I couldn't leave.

i started knowing some of the nct members during the episode 2 of EXO 902014 on 2014 during their cover performance of song Friday Night (original by g.o.d), at that time, i got hooked with jaehyun's smile.
that leads me to discover more NCT members until they included as SMRookies members in 2015 and i following their update until all of them debuting as NCT starting 2016 until today.
I can't believe that i've been as czennies for a long time since 2014 until now.

2017, I was a tween, looking for unique choreography and came across Firetruck dance practice on YouTube and it was the coolest group dance I had seen. I didn't even know about K-Pop at the time, but YouTube algorithms recommended Chewing Gum a few days later and I fell into the rabbit hole (but I have no complaints)

for me at least: i knew of NCT initially through 127's who's who video from Buzzfeed, but i didn't start getting into them until between kick it and ridin eras and began fully stanning by ridin! i think my process of stanning units was U > dream > 127 > wayv

for some reason it took me a long ass time to get into dream (got into dream after watching 127 react to one of their mvs) and even longer for wayv (i think it was tbt era? and i always forgot hendery existed when i was trying to remember the members 😭 sry bae)
so running man > superm > exo > 127 > dream >wayv and now they're my ult group

I found superm through taemin/shinee, so I got to know those members first. I think Ten was one of the last members I knew, but he became my favorite anyway, so I started checking out wayv. It was right around the time pmn and low low came out too. I didn't really listen to 127 until favorite.

I looked into SuperM because of Taemin and TaeTen really caught my eyes. I think it was right around the Kick Back release. YouTube recommended me their showcase performances and Ten was too much to handle lol. I ended up checking out rest of WayV contents and thanks YT Czennie edits, I found the whole group soon after. I was elated when I came across Baby Don't Stop (we need them back, plsss). I still remember when I looked up the SuperM Neos. I was so shocked by all the groups listed under their names 😭

One of my sister's best friends was a NCTzen and I got to know more about NCT. But fr though, I think I saw a video when Johnny, Ten, and Yuta met kids, and I like Johnny, and ig from there it started, and I looked at cursed images and I got into them even more- Anyways this was all in like last summer- And the first song I listened to (not completely) by NCT was Black on Black :D

My kpop friend gave me a list of artists to try when I was getting into kpop and NCT was on the list (tho she got confused with txt and wrote them as nxt lmaooo) I listened to sit down but didn't really listen to anything else and just focused on exo and skz then one time I came across moonwalk and fell in love I listened to the rest of Wayv's songs and learnt that they were in NCT and decided to stan (this was a few days after hot sauce released)

i knew about nct being a massive group, listened to a few of their songs and knew some of the members but never actually full on stanned them. i finally got into nct127 at first in 2021 around sticker era and what gave me a push to doing it was the mmtg video featuring nct127 for chuseok and was like “they’re actually pretty interesting!” so then i looked more into nct and only struggled with knowing who was chenle, kun and winwin :) so glad i did. bit late and wish i did it earlier but better late then never!
