as a cautionary note, ctp had to hard-limit the amount of evil levels because they were just overwhelming

and I’ve noticed it too - it is too easy to make an E++ that requires a lot of effort

yeah, I think DS told me that during the development of Vol 1, so I've been trying to stay aware of it

I think I love evil ninja levels more than most, fwiw

I especially find easier infinite E++s very satisfying

When you tell someone their level needs a challenge, an evil ninja is the easiest way to do that

e++ levels generally took me the longest before i became competent enough to try the challenges. i remember when i was new getting scared upon seeing a level with a ton of them

yeah, it’s just such a quick shortcut to make a very detailed and demanding challenge, so it’s not surprising there tends to be too many

as compared to other types of challenges

but also remember a level generally regarded as filler taking me over 3 hours because i missed the cheese (and still people were saying, i don't see how you struggled so much even without cheesing)

so far with Vol 2 I've tried to use evils in a variety of ways - a handful of infinite challenges so far, of course, but also smaller amounts for pressure, collectathon-levels with the evils just keeping you moving, some hitbox-related stuff

I'm not great at creating drone cycles from scratch, usually I just try to use existing drone patterns in fun ways

by weaving evils through them, for instance

that was one of my favourite puzzle-y edits, I hope we recapture that magic at least once more in Vol 2
