Ive got some models of varying armies though Im still not sure what army I should make my first army. the armies Im thinking of making my first are:
Kharadron overlords
Skaven(already have a few models for)
Maggotkin of Nurgle
Slaves to Darkness

Skaven has a few slow horde lists now because of the new brood terror and screaming bell, brood terror spam with a bell giving them -1 to wound every other battle round and an inbuilt D6 heal +D3 heal from screaming bell makes it a very powerful and fun faction now

Bit low on the damage side but you can put some buffs on them and make it work with volume

There aren’t any fast hordes in AoS apart from nighthaunt, they’re a fast horde with pretty great survivability now due to their new terrain and can output crazy damage if set up correctly

They aren’t really a horde army though I’d argue. You can HAVE hordes, but they’re usually screens for big units like verminlords, brood terrors, doom-flayers etc. Vissik and krittok help with the horde style armies but they’re still not amazing compared to the traditional way to play them

3-4 units of clanrats or plague monks for screens and objectives, they’re not gonna play a huge role aside from that unless buffed up with inconsistent (if stupidly fun and good) prayers
A horde list of Skaven is playable, but not good imo
