I'm getting into AOS, coming from 40k. I want to play an army that's based aroundthas good shooting. What are my best army options? And what would you recommend picking up for a 1000 point list to get into the army with my focus in mind.

The most shooty armies are CoS, Skaven and KO

An army based around good shooting lorewise would probably be the Kharadron Overlords (steampunk blimp dwarves) and they have pretty cool models, but aren’t great competitively rn, this could change though so don’t base your choice around competitive. If you want a good shooting army for right now in AoS I’d go with Skaven, (crackhead engineering rats) they have really good shooting units that are fun to play

Cities of sigmar, Kharadron overlords, and Skaven (removed acronyms)

# lapis turtle Thank you.

Just be warned the list looks like a very competitive list, really just look at the ranges available and decide based on what you like, anything powerful right now might completely change in a few months

I do agree with him, this list is what I know to be comp rn in skaven, skaven atm suck at winning but you do wanna collect what you like

They’re not bad I don’t think, just very hard to play well as I’ve been learning (I’m building a Skaven army at the moment)

I’m not sure whether it’s more influenced by the rules or the fact that a lot of new players (like myself) got into AoS 4th with the Skaven half of the Skaven tide box set than the rules themselves being necessarily bad (though the army itself has godawful internal balance that much is undeniable)
